 Barker Creek Makes Learning FUN!!

Win a learning set from Barker Creek!
Bugs n Numbers!

Another use for the Learning Magnets Red Kid Board, we are learning our numbers!  Alice is now practicing her numbers and counting. Alice is 3. Bugs are COOL!! This Kidmath Kritter Counting Magnetic set fits the bill completely!! First, each little magnet has a certain amount of bugs. I play with these two main ways.  I hand Alice the number and then ask her to find the bugs with that amount of numbers.  Or I hand Alice a magnet and ask her to find the number. We will be able to learn all the way up to 100!! These are the perfect size for little hands AND bigger hands. These will be around for a LONG time!!  I love that these arrive in a sturdy plastic case. I throw the set in my purse when we are headed out to friends. Everyone has a refrigerator!!

Next up, learning to WRITE our letters! Happy Handwriting! 52 alphabet pages. A place for the child’s name at the top. A fun border to decorate too!  Each letter comes with upper and lower case pages. The lines are 1″ with the center line in dots. The first letter shows the strokes needed to make the letter. The second letter shows all in dots. Then 2 lines for practice. There is also a graduation certificate. LOVE this little packet of letters. Alice does her letters, decorates the outer rim and then gets her star for the day!  I made copies of all of the pages, then laminated the set capitals on one side and lower case on the other. Alice and I picked out a set of dry erase markers, now, we’ll be practicing our letters for a VERY LONG time!! More to love about this set is the cute art work on each page that reinforces beginning sounds. Apple, Apron and so on. My favorite though is the cute little poem on each page that also reinforces the letter and letter sounds.

This set is even available for an instant download PDF file!

From the magnetic board to the fun magnets! Alice LOVES these learning tools!! Three years old, she can spell her name, she can write her name. I truly credit some of this success to the learning tools that we have from Barker Creek!
