Y’all know I don’t do a lot of book reviews; I am already fighting with not enough time in my life and sitting down to read a book is almost impossible. Unless of course it’s written in HUGE print in a rhyming kind of sing-song voice; y’know the kind of books a three-year old enjoys. I made an exception for Louise Baxter Harmon’s Happiness A to Z The Gleeful Guide to Finding and Following Your Bliss. I am SO VERY glad I did!!

Happiness A-Z is the perfect collection of powerful thoughts and insightful quotes that expresses some of the best ways to “get happy.” From exploring the excitement of being fully “Alive” to the adventure of exploring the world’s most “Zestful” experiences, this collection of inspirational quotes takes you through the most important ABC’s of life.

Each and every page one of the 256 pages in this book are filled with quotes and lines designed to uplift your spirit. “Living your dreams is what a wholehearted life is all about. Your dreams are your Heartsong. They are the passion and the calling that is alive in you, an expression of the gifts and talents you were born to bring to life, just as a caterpillar carries within itself the potential to be a butterfly.” -Susyn Reeve, The Wholehearted Life

Happiness A-Z: The Gleeful Guide to Finding Your Bliss is filled with quotes on a variety of subjects; with chapters like Friendship, Gratitude, Enlightenment. Each of the chapters have an introduction from a writer, a philosopher, a politicians, even celebrity quotes. Everyone from Ellen to Norman Vincent Peale. From Abraham Lincoln to Oprah, Marcus Aurelius, and Oscar Wilde.  I’m certain there is a quote from someone who you admire in this treasure of a book.

My favorite quote/thought is “Am I Living in Love or Fear?”. It’s a personal check for me to remind myself, that when living in love of people and the world, I’m not feeling anxious/sad/depress – all of those negative feelings. 🙂

One of my favorite quotes is by Helen Keller when she said “The highest result of education is tolerance.”

Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world
