Hello, little Peanuts. November is here. We are 62 days away from 2024?!?! WHAT!??! Yup, I’m full of great news today. Christmas is only 55 days away! Today we put the snow tires on my little orange Subaru. You can blame me if it snows tonight. I made a quick trip to California in October to watch my Granddaughter Alice perform Ursula in The Little Mermaid. Since I still can’t believe the set of pipes on this kid, I’m sharing the video again. She’s ONLY 12!! Wasn’t it just yesterday I was teaching her to read Pajama Time?? Instilling a love of reading at a young age is imperative to a child’s growth and learning habits. There are many steps that can be taken when teaching kids to read. The following tips make learning to read fun and easy for every child. Engage Children with Words The more a child is exposed to language, the easier reading will become. This can mean anything from singing, talking, cuddling or playing. Any way a child can be engaged with words aids the learning process. A fun game to play involves shopping at the grocery store. Say something like, “we need apples, where are the apples?” The child will look around to find the apples, and this will help to broaden the vocabulary. The Tiny Traveler Series For Kids Review
Board Books are NOT just for babies!! Since I spend my days with 3-year-old Alice, we do a lot of playing, a lot of art and a lot of learning projects. Alice can write her alphabet; she can read so many site words I’ve lost count. There are several books that she can read front to back. Yes, they are easy books and I’m sure that she has them memorized. But, I’m still beaming with pride. I was approached by Misti Kenison to review her new series of children’s board books; The Tiny Traveler series. I jumped at the chance!
