• It’s Conference Call Time!

By now everyone that come to Peanut Butter and Whine knows that my BBF is a 6-year-old kid named Alice. My, now minus her 2 bottom teeth, Granddaughter who I adore from the top of her spoiled little head (yes, totally my fault!) to the bottoms of her dirty bossy feet (yup, I think that might be my fault as well). This bossy kid hates being on the phone. (DUH! Me too!!) I would rather text or email than talk on the phone. But? A conference call??  I don’t know why, maybe the years of having to answer phones at work? Who knows. So when we have to call The Momma or The Dadda or whoever, we use the speaker on my phone however, it doesn’t have the best range. Alice wanders off, and well, there went that conversation. When I saw the eMeet I knew this would be an awesome addition!! With a speakerphone range of 26 FEET!! AND 360° audio pickup which means Alice can do what she loves (dance and move. Seriously! This kid is a serious ball of energy!) and still TALK on the phone!! Of course, the business person in your life probably doesn’t dance…

  • Making the Most from Your Streaming

Nowadays everyone seems to have either a tablet or smartphone which means that we’re shifting away from the computer and more into streaming media thanks to Netflix, YouTube, and all of the social apps.   Streaming media, in short, is what we’re into. The problem is that we’re still at that point when there are a boatload of choices and sometimes it’s hard to decide what’s the best dollar-per-entertainment value for our time.   Coming from someone that has all these types of devices and have explored plenty of entertainment options I have a few suggestions:   ·  FIRST:   You want to make sure that you have the right broadband to support all of your devices and streaming. Many people have found that some of the Verizon promos floating around are helpful when they want to cut down the pricing of their ISP services and get some great speed. Once you have the right subscription the rest basically falls into place.   ·  SECOND:   You’ll want to purchase some kind of set-top box like a Roku or Apple TV so that you have access to all of the great services like Netflix or Amazon Instant Video. With these…

  • My Life Set To Music!

From blasting your favorite tunes on the car radio (me!), to when you secure tickets for Morgan Wallen (or whoever your favorite artist may be), music is an important part of life. When you are sad, music can help make you happy. For me, when I turn on the 60’s station and sing along, I’m instantly in a better mood. Music can also help you get that good old-fashioned ‘ugly cry’. You know, sometimes you really need a good cleansing cry!  Just in case you don’t know what The Ugly Cry is, well,  it’s a cry so deep, so complete that you will be heaving and making awkward, gasping sounds. When the Ugly Cry is over your face will be RED, blotchy, puffy with two very swollen eyes!! But, you will feel SO MUCH BETTER. Okay, maybe that’s just me. There are tons of songs that stick out in my life. From growing up in a time where restaurants had the oldies style music jukebox where you could push E4 and listen to Elvis belt out Teddy Bear for just .25¢  Or even You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’ by The Righteous Brothers. But, mostly Elvis, ya know…. just sayin’. Every time I hear Time In A Bottle…
