MIRA Digital Kitchen Scale
Diet! Diet! Diet! Seriously, I think I have spent at least half of my adult life on a diet. Use a kitchen scale to weigh your food. Exercise. Water. Sleep. Workout. WHY does being fit take so much WORK!!!! (Yes, I AM going to WHINE! Thank you very much!) Why isn’t there a magic pill?? Why can’t I use the shop vac for do-it-your-self liposuction? WHY?!?! Why doesn’t whining work like it did when I was a baby?? Okay, fine, this post isn’t going to be a whine fest for the entire thing…. I promise. Dieting is hard work. You have to be motivated. You have to be dedicated. Keeping a food journal is very helpful. Weighing myself daily, really helps me. Then there is the food measuring. Some people are good at measuring and guessing how much is a single serving. ME?? Container size equals serving size. I will (and do!) eat an entire container of Pringles, M&M’s, ice cream, whatever…. doesn’t matter. Which would explain, why I am on a DIET yet again!! Why A Kitchen Scale So, for me, having a good kitchen scale is IMPORTANT! I have to have a scale I can depend on. It…

Date Night Minus the DVD’s!!
Things to do on a date night in without the DVDs. Can it be done? Often there are nights when neither of you feel like going out, and at times like that it’s tempting to fall back on the old stand-by: A bottle of wine, a take away and a movie. Aside from the endless arguing over which movie to watch, as far as evening plans go, this can seem a bit… routine. The fact is that there are all sorts of cool things the two of you can do on a date night at home. Things like: Play Videogames Although plenty of couples enjoy gaming, we tend not to think of it as date night material. Yet if you think about it, it makes a lot more sense than watching a movie. There are more and more games now that have cooperative play options, and so rather than simply sitting next to each other and watching the screen in silence, you can talk and argue and scheme. Games like Portal 2 give you plenty of opportunities for problem solving together, while the infinite time suck that is Minecraft gives you plenty of opportunity to explore or build yourselves a…

Choose To Be Nice!
Choose To Be Nice, it’s an easy concept. How hard is it to actually do?? I donned my new super soft t-shirt and smiled at myself in the mirror and thought PIECE OF CAKE!! Off I went to start my first day wearing my new motto and choosing to be nice. Within 10 minutes of being out of the house a car cut me off and MAN OH MAN I WAS…….. ohhhhhhh wait…. I’m trying something new. Okay, deep breath, let it go. But, face to face was a WHOLE different story. Is it ME? Or are all these people in Southern California suddenly NICE!??! I was greeted and smiled at. I was offered Good Mornings and smiles! AND EYE CONTACT!!! Hummmm…. could it be as simple as a T-shirt? Or am I projecting that I am Choosing To Be Nice and it’s contagious?? Not just once. But every SINGLE time I wear my new t-shirt. I find I am nicer. I smile more. I am more patient. Putting on this t-shirt puts ME into a whole new mindset. The Choose To Be Nice movement is the passion and the dream of Dina Creiger who wants to spread this important message far and…
