A Special Request from Me!
Before Alice came around I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Jeanne Louie Tawatao. This post is for her husband Rommel. This guy is funny! Sarcastic (I like that in a person myself! It’s almost a friendship requirement!) He’s a great Daddy. Awesome husband. (I heard stories!! Yup, Jeanne gossips! Sorry Rommel, someone had to tell you!!) Rommel rocks that bald head like Bruce Willis! He’s a hard worker, veteran and all around GREAT guy!! Now, Rommel is truly fighting for his life. PLEASE!! Send a lot of prayers their way!!! Welcome to my Light The Night Walk Fundraising Page I am walking in honor of my husband of 7 years, Rommel Ian Tawatao. Rommel is also a father, brother, son, uncle, friend, and my hero. About a year ago, Rommel noticed that he was constantly feeling tired, coughing excessively, and developed a fever that would not go away. The coughing had become so severe that he was coughing almost nonstop for 2+ weeks, and had trouble breathing. After multiple doctor’s visits and several ER visits and 911 calls, he was officially diagnosed with Stage 2B Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (a type of blood cancer) on November 2, 2012. Chemotherapy was started…

Vista College and Military Spouses!
Today I’m sharing a great Infographic that was provided by the awesome folks over at Vista College.WOW 300 MILLION Military and Veteran related scholarships are available each year and many go unclaimed?!? WOW!!My daughter Selena is making great use of her GI Bill. She worked hard for that benefit, just like everyone that has been in the Military!! They work so hard for so little money!! They deserve those benefits and so much MORE!!!!It’s a shame to think so much of those benefits are going unused!!Check out the other programs! I had no idea there were so many!! Did you?? Has anyone in your family served in the Military? Which branch? Both of our girls were in the Navy. I truly thought our oldest daughter was going to make the Navy her life long career choice. Thanks for reading! I’ll see you tomorrow! I’m Refreshing My Blog (and Exorcising Some Digital Ghosts) Updating old blog content is a lot like digital archaeology. You head into the archives expecting to dust off a few old tutorials, and you end up unearthing questionable life choices from seven years ago. Between the aggressively over-filtered photos and advice that has aged like room-temperature milk,…

Bear Hunt CD
What you don’t see is the complete and total meltdown that happened before I put the Bear Hunt CD in to play!! Bear Hunt is full of catchy tunes! Happy music! This wonderful cd is a little bit country, folk, reggae, pop and some New Orleans Street Music to boot. Josh and The Jamtones are awesome!! Alice and I are in the car a LOT! We love the Kids Place Live on XM and Josh & The Jamtones sing some of our okay fine, MY favorite songs! Jump Up and Iko Iko WHICH by the way landed them the #1 spot for 13 weeks!! I love this cd because Alice is getting a taste of all kids of music. She sways to some and rocks out to others. This short clip shows Alice happily swaying. I did y’all a favor and cut the screaming fit before the cd started. I even love the CD cover art!! Special guest Father Goose (featured on most of the Dan Zanes family albums, including the GRAMMY winning Catch That Train and GRAMMY nominated House Party) brings his authentic, “King of the Dance Party” Caribbean presence to Bear Hunt!, contributing vocals to an up-to-date version…
