Places I MUST see in Italy!! #pimsleuritalian

If you could travel anywhere in the world; money is no object, time commitments are under control. Where would you go? Top of my bucket list is Italy. I would be giddy to spend time in Italy. I want to see the Colosseum. The Roman Forum is a must. Pantheon, yes PLEASE!! I want to stroll through Rome’s piazzas.

I absolutely MUST throw coins in the Trevi Fountain.

ItalyI don’t think they let you out of Italy without doing that. I’m certain I heard that somewhere. I want to buy a rosary at St. Peter’s Basilica and I’ll need one at Vatican too. I have to see the Sistine Chapel.

Then let’s talk food!!

MUST have all FOOD!! Must have pizza, I must have REAL Gelato.

With all of my research and wish-list of stops I’ve learned a few things!

Italy does NOT run on a tight schedule. ALWAYS give yourself extra time to get places. Don’t rely on credit cards! Many of the best ‘mom and pop’ places still don’t take credit cards. Shorts. BIG no-no in the churches!! I truly love visiting Churches and Cathedrals and I would HATE to miss seeing the ones in Italy because I was dressed wrong. Many Churches have signs posted asking visitors not to enter wearing shorts or with bare shoulders. Ahh, I see a reason to shop for a beautiful scarf!

While it’s not a MUST when visiting Italy but, the language, I want to Learn Italian.

I want to speak like a native!! I want to converse with the waiters at the Trieste cafe. I want to haggle over jewelry and handbags like an Italian. I truly am a bottomless pit of wants and needs, aren’t I?

I’m thrilled to be able to review Italian with Pimsleur Italian LEVEL 1.

Italian so easy that Dr. Pimsleur’s Italian language learning course has even been featured on PBS. The only requirement you have is repeating words and phrases out loud. Super EASY!!

Hello! I’m a new subscriber! I love your writing! I agree that I would love to visit Italy and see the beautiful art and architecture! I wanted to tell you that I am learning Italian on a “free” program called DuoLingo! It’s so much fun and I’m amazed how much I’m learning! I realize that I won’t be fluent after I finish the program but I am beginning to read without too much difficulty! I compose sentences like a four year old, though! Try DuoLingo! It’s completely free! It’s a no-brainer!

It sounds like a great program! I’ve been to Italy twice and I found the catacombs so fascinating! I hope you get to go and practice your new language.

That sounds like a fantastic way to learn some of the language to make your vacation more fun and meaningful. I never heard of it before. I’m like you, so many things I sooo want to do and go, if I only could! I’d want to see Paris, then Norway with the arora borealis, I’d like to hopscotch Europe to see all the famous opera houses and shop for great outfits to wear as I go…..
