$50 Your Way Giveaway! November 2024

How is it time for my NOVEMBER giveaway ALREADY!?!? Don’t throw anything at your computer, or toss your phone across the room BUT we are only 62 days away from 2025!!?!??!  I swear when I was in high school I thought 2025 sounded like it was a zillion years away. However, it got here way too dang fast. Also, where is my flying car??

October was busy up here on the mountain. MOSTLY because The Husband got an infection in his eye. Of course it’s the eye that has the monthly shot for Wet Macular Degeneration. To read the entire story (if you are interested) head over to my What I SHOULD Be Doing post. Apparently, The Husband’s eye infection only happens 1 in every 10,000 patients. We are still making the trek to Spokane (2 hours each way) for twice-weekly eye appointments. SO much fun. NOT!!!

My hands are still killing me. With a new twist!! All of a sudden they spasm. For instance as I am typing right now my fingers are shaking ……….. all I can say is THANK heavens for spell check!! You thought my spelling was bad before? With the help of hands that move on their own it’s even worse. Yes, Gloria, I can absolutely repeat your “The joys of getting older!” statement.

Results are back from my MRI.  Now waiting for a call from the Neurosurgery office. Hopefully, I can get in soon. I have a CLASS trip in June. I have to be 100% by then!!

Enough of the boring stuff.

On to the REAL reason you are here!!

Finished painting the old kitchen! Tomorrow’s going to be fine & dry so I’ll be able to move some stuff outside while I attempt to ‘walk’ the washing machine from the corner of the living room into the old kitchen. Then connect it up & hope there’s no leaks! Then walk the dishwasher in but not connect it. After that, move 2 big shelving units in & stock up with tools, paint cans, gardening stuff, plant pots, seeds etc. Finally lay the foam tiles on the floor et voilá!

Once the old kitchen becomes my gardening/store room, I can move the fridge, freezer, microwave & mini-cooker from the living room into the old dining room, which will be my new kitchen/cats room. Then finally, get started on the living room.

Had company last night Zay, her grandma and baby cousin. He is only 3 months old and size wise he looks like 6+ months old. Great niece does not miss anything, whats this or that. I was holding the baby and she wanted mac & cheese grandma said I will fix it. NO she fixes it right!!! Finally handed the baby back and fixed her mac & cheese.

Today have not done much. It is only 24 at 3:06 pm and high of 30 all week. I hate cold

  • l p

the day is going well. very grateful to have heard from a friend that they are recovering well from a mystery illness. enjoy your day. thanks

  • Kate Sarsfield

AGH!!!!! Still no part for the flipping car. The mechanic’s been trying all the scrap yards he can to get it & managed to find one but said it was rusty & wouldn’t last long but he might have another by Monday. They stopped making my car in 2010 but I never thought it would take this long to find a replacement part. Did some more painting, cancelled 2 appointments for next week in case I’m not back on the road & messaged the rescue centre to let them know I probably won’t make it next week. On the plus side, my earache does seem a little better.

  • Luis Diego Cabeza

I don’t even have a proper excuse. To be honest, I just didn’t want to socialize with my extended family for 5 hours. I would much rather stay home in sweatpants, watch a movie, eat some pizza, and hang out with my dog. Putting on a smile and making small talk feels like a chore to me, and I know it’s selfish, but I just didn’t want to do it yesterday.

I wish I enjoyed hanging out with people. I really do. And I do feel bad that my Dad was upset. My brain is just wired differently I guess. Or maybe I’m an asshole.

    • Elizabeth

I guarantee lots of people feel the same way (me too, to a big extent–a sweatpants Thanksgiving sounds wonderful!)…the holidays are so stressful, and half the time you don’t get to really talk to the people you’ve been missing anyway, because it’s so hectic. (One on one or a small group is so much better.) This time of year is a marathon, not a sprint, and I’m sure your dad will understand eventually, especially if you spend time with him in other ways. Self-care is important!

  • Brian E.

We have a tradition during our family Thanksgiving get-togethers of having a touch football game or basketball free throw contest, depending on the weather…everyone participates!

  • Michele Soyer

Had a lovely Thanksgiving here – once I have a great kitchen I am fine….Been walking about 2-4 miles a day around this area of Houston and staying away from the shoppes!!!! My one expenditure is at the grocery and Iconfess to buying some winter clothes yesterday – on sale – and not at Louis Vuitton..LOL….today it is 38 degrees out so maybe just maybe when it warms up we will do a bit of walking – waiting for the winter coats to arrive…

  • Susan Smith

I spent some time with my sister who came in for Thanksgiving. We did some shopping, visiting friends and then went out to dinner.

  • gloria patterson

Have not done much on anything. I did clean out one kitchen cabinet shelf. I have been telling myself for almost a month. To take everthing out and get rid of a few things in there the I don’t use………… NEVER did it

And the sad part it only took me less then 5 minutes. Will take those things down to the giveaway table.

    Some computer work and nap…………….

Temp was a high of 34 today ……………. right now it is 30 and feels like 21 It is going to be in the 30’s all next week.

  • Kate Sarsfield

I dutifully researched each candidate for this area: 17 people seeking office and I couldn’t, in all conscience, vote for 12 of them! I’m left of centre & definitely green but this is a conservative, farming part of the country. Picked up a prescription for antibiotics – I’ve had an earache for 3 days 🙁

    • gloria patterson

      Kate
A simple little thing like ear ache can bring any adult to their knees. Been there and had them, at 50 I had ear tube put in my ear. Hope the antibiotics takes care of your problem.

  • heather

I am still recovering from all the cooking I did yesterday. I slept like a baby last night I was so tired. I am looking forward to the left overs today. I already did some online shopping but don’t plan on hitting the mall that sounds like a nightmare to me. lol

  • Tamra Phelps

Happy Thanksgiving. Honestly, I haven’t really done Thanksgiving in years. Once your older family members are gone, it seems that you lose the motivation if you don’t have kids.

  • Melanie B

Had a good Thanksgiving; stayed home and we had some roasting chickens instead of turkey (not a big fan anyway), the weather was lousy but all in all a good holiday.

  • Kate Sarsfield

    Happy Thanksgiving to N.America!

My mechanic won’t have the time to fix my car till Sat. morning so I had to take a chance on driving to the nearest shop to get catfood etc. Luckily it’s pretty much a straight line so it wasn’t too bad. Tomorrow’s Election Day in Ireland & my voting station is in the middle of town, with lots of corners. May have to park on the outskirts & walk the rest. We’ll see.

  • Shannon Mitchell

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
My day is going good so far, going to my daughter’s house for Thanksgiving soon.

  • heather

Happy Thanksgiving! I have a lot to do today. I am going to get started on the deviled eggs here in a few minutes and then on to the other dishes after that. I need to go out to the refrigerator and see how much my turkey weighs after I finally got it thawed out.

  • gloria patterson

It was 35 as I entered the store, and I was not in there that long……………… got in the car and it was almost 45

Stopped at a couple of places, in and out……………… Now home thinking about a nap

  • Kate Sarsfield

YAY!!! Michele, it’s great to hear from you! We’ve all been wondering how you’re getting on. Enjoy your break after your hectic couple of weeks but leave your wallet in the safe! Love to Chloe xxx

As for me, still waiting for the part but it should be here tomorrow. Just in time, the cats are beginning to look at me while licking their lips! More painting got done, freezing fog outside, bitterly cold …

  • Michele Soyer

Good Morning ladies from the great state of Texas! Here we are in Houston since last Thursday night – all flights were wonderful as was the ride here and this Air B and B….
Negotiating the city very well and already have been to Trader Joe’s Whole Foods and TJ Maxx…After the holiday we will hit the Galleria for Saks and Nordstroms…Just looking girls.. wait.. there is a Dolce and Gabbana and Chanel! a girl can dream..LOL
At this stage, with the container on the sea for at least 12 days we have to stay put and enjoy..
All mt best wishes to you all for a very Blessed thanksgiving holiday….

  • heather

I have to run to the store today need more eggs and more butter before tomorrow. I better not forget anything else. I am starting cooking some dishes today so it’s gonna be a busy day.

    • gloria patterson

Terri so sorry to hear that………….. but you have some wonderful memories. And down the road those memories will pop up at the strangest time and make you smile!

  • Shelly Peterson

I got up early to go to Costco. I thought getting there before they opened it might not be so busy but the parking lot was already plumb full. It was a mad house lol

  • l p

the day is going well. it’s cold outside. spent the morning doing some volunteering. it was good to get home and have a cuppa. enjoy your day. thanks

  • Kate Sarsfield

Still waiting for the part for the car (the snow delayed everything) so still stuck. Luckily I doubled up on cat food & got my meds last week before the snow, just in case. Anyway, we had a really hard frost last night that didn’t melt at all so the old kitchen ceiling got painted & some small holes filled. Sanded down the back door & gave it an undercoat as well!

Gloria, I have no use for the dishwasher. I’ve asked everyone I’ve met if they want it, but no takers. I can take out the racks & use it as storage!

    Wonder how Michele’s getting on?

    • gloria patterson

Kate hang in there you planned ahead for just in case LOL

” take out the racks & use it as storage” I have saw on facebook where people are using racks in low cabinets. You could just leave the racks in and store stuff inside.

“Wonder how Michele’s getting on?” I saw a comment on something and I asked her WHERE she was and to let us know. HOPE she contacts us and lets us know HOW every thing is going.

  • gloria patterson

Made a list and have done some of them…………….. hope to get more done!

Rec car insurance bill went up a little over $100. Called and told me that the was a rate increase to everone.

Working on cleaning paper work off my desk.

  • Polly Hall

I’ve been dealing with the deer trying to eat all of my bird seed in the feeder, I’ve placed branches around it so they cannot get to it. Hoping that works.

  • gloria patterson

Our strange weather this weekend was in the 30’s today we got up to the 60’s!! Ran a few errand that I didn’t do last week. Filled my car up had 80 cents off a gallon.

I don’t know where the day goes!!!!!!!!

  • Tamra Phelps

Well, I did it. I turned the heat on. I had used the space heater but hadn’t actually switched the heat on yet this Winter. Ugh. Heating bills, lol. But it’s supposed to drop into the teens around Thanksgiving, so…

  • Kate Sarsfield

Still no news re. parts for the car so I’m stuck. It’s a bit like lockdown all over again! However, I have got my ass into gear & am back painting the old kitchen – yay! Once the painting’s done, the floor will be sealed, then ‘walk’ the washing machine & dishwasher into place, connect the washing machine (!!!), lay the floor tiles & move the shelving units & big gardening table in. We’ll see. The storm’s blown itself out, leaving floods & no power in a lot of places but not here, thankfully.

Sorry to hear about your aches & pains, Gloria 🙁 Keep moving if you can. Have you tried acupuncture?

My sister flew to Arizona at the weekend to stay with her friend for a couple of weeks but will be back home for Christmas.

    • gloria patterson

Kate I have to ask will you use a dish washer?? I have never had one or wanted one. But then again I don’t mess up to many dishes. I sure hope you are not going to be moving all that heavy stuff by yourself!!!!!!!!! The OLD kitchen sounds like it is a big room.

I never though about acupuncture before might have to check that out. I flew out to phoeni arizona years ago when my sister was house sitting for a friend. Its the only place I have been that in a 4 hr or so drive went from shorts to wishing I had long johns.

  • heather

We are bracing for more rain here today. We haven’t had too much flooding in our area but we sure needed the rain. We so need to fill up our lakes, rivers and ponds here. We have been in a drought for years so I am loving this rain.

  • gloria patterson

I think this cold/cool weather is kicking my ass! My arthritis is kicking my butt ( I take celebrex high dose) if I sit for 1/2 hr when I stand up I can hardly walk for a couple of minutes till I get everthing moving. I plan on doing this and that and I just never get around to doing much. So I can say I have done nothing

  • heather

I am waking up, listening to the news and sipping my hot tea at the moment. I am going to bake some banana bread in a little while and I am using pecans today in stead of walnuts hope it turns out good. Have a blessed Sunday.

  • Kate Sarsfield

Storm Bert is back & it’s wild out there. All the cats, indoor & out are fed, litter cleaned & ran the car for 30 minutes to keep the battery alive. The mechanic won’t have the parts for another couple of days so I won’t make it to the rescue centre this week. I’ve already scheduled for Christmas Day & have volunteered to do Christmas Eve as well, ditto New Year & NY’s Eve so I don’t feel so bad about missing this week.

Making a big pot of chilli or curry in case I lose power & have firewood, candles & torches all to hand.

    • gloria patterson

Good thing you volunteered for those days/evening and lets others to be off. . And I am betting that in your head you have named most of the cats/kittens that you have contact with. Heck I would not be surprised if you didn’t sing to them ……. 🙂 🙂 Stay warm, enjoy your chili or curry (I vote for Chili)

Do you notice a difference in the inside temp now that they have done your walls/attic etc????

  • Tamra Phelps

I’ve had a slow day watching Hallmark Christmas movies or Expedition Unknown on Discovery Channel, lol. In other words, getting nothing done!

  • Kana Munoz

My favorite thanksgiving food is deviled eggs. too lazy to make them myself so i only get to have them on thanksgiving when someone else makes them

  • gloria patterson

I was up at 6 am like normal……….. dressed and made breakfast. Then the recliner started yelling at me!! What the heck nap time almost 4 hrs. Have not done much today doing bill pay on line. Answer / deleting emails. Just cleaning up paperwork

  • Kate Sarsfield

Snow on Thursday, first wave of Storm Bert last night & warm enough to wear a Tshirt today! Bert is circling round & is due back later tonight through to Monday. I should be painting, but keep putting it off & finding other things to do. What is wrong with me? Honestly, if there was an award for procrastinating I’d be in with a very good chance of winning it!

    • gloria patterson

Kate not a chance in this world……………… WE ALL might be in a tie for the award!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This weather is so strange/…… last thur high 70’s then down down to 30’s today back in the mid 40’s by Mon we are in the 60’s

  • l p

the day is going well. the weather is dictating taking things one day at a time so plans I had for today have been changed to accommodate Mother Nature. fingers crossed…. stay safe everyone. thanks

  • heather

Well, we’re still getting hammered here on the West Coast with rain. We need it where I live but some areas I see on TV are majorly flooded and that’s scary.

  • Tamra Phelps

Ugh. It seems like Fall is just done and Winter is movig in early. I hope Michele is doing well. I haven’t seen her comment lately, so I’m thinking she might be in travel mode…

  • Polly Hall

I tried my hand at making another loaf of sour dough sandwich bread. It turned out great but I think I still need to keep practicing.

  • gloria patterson

I like to go to krogers on friday………. special sales, extra points on gas coupons etc etc

Got up this morning and it was 30 and snow spitting………….. NO NO I am not going out in this cold I can make do with what I have. They canceled school due to the cold weather and were having NON-TRADITIONAL LEARNING today. All students have laptop so they can go online and work.

I have not been out of my apartment, watched the snow at first it was nothing melting quick. By noon roofs were all covered and parked cars were covered a inch or so. Then the grass started getting white. And it is still coming down but not going to amount to much.

I was going to do so much and don’t know what happened…………….. I did nothing

  • Kate Sarsfield

Made it to the mechanic. It’s the steering fluid that’s leaked out. He’ll have to hoist it up to have a good look & then a couple of days till he gets the parts. Googled the price of the various things that might need replacing: between €40 & €500. Bloody Hell! There’s always something, isn’t there. Probably something rusted because of salt/grit on the roads. Can’t understand how it wasn’t spotted during the test though. Anyway, the snow’s still here but due to melt tonight because of ta! da! Storm Bert arriving in from the Atlantic. One month’s rain due between tonight & Monday morning 🙁

    • gloria patterson

Kate when it rains it pours LOL Somtimes it either laugh or cry……….. Fingers crossed for you that it just a rusty bolt or something that just takes minutes ot fix …………..

      KEEP YOUR FEET DRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Tamra Phelps

Honestly, Kate, sometimes adulthood seems like just one damn thing after another, right??? I hope it turns out to be the cheapest possible repair!!

  • Tamra Phelps

We saw a little snow today but not a bit stuck. Which is fine by me. Still, it is so flipping cold!! Fall must be over, lol.

  • heather

We are gehtting tons of rain right now and I LOVE it! We so needed the water here. I am making Country Style Pork Spare Ribs and Sauerkraut for dinner and can not wait it’s gonna be good!

  • Kate Sarsfield

Four inches of snow overnight! It’s thawing now & a bit of sleet and it’s cold. Was supposed to go to the mechanic this morning but got into bed to get warm & fell back asleep. I’ll try again tomorrow or Saturday when the temps are supposed to rise a bit. Main roads are clear but I’m on a country lane, 3 miles from the road so not going to take any chances!

  • natosha

My favorite tradition with my family is watching movies and playing board games during that day. We also enjoy fun new takes on our favorite dishes adding some fun flavor change up or adding a new twist to a favorite dish we serve up.

  • natosha

Today has been off to a great start! My first week things are going great and I feel so better than the week before. I have such a hopefull, joyful, and positive feeling everyday this week and I just love it.

  • Tamra Phelps

For some reason, I’ve been thinking of my Granny’s cornbread & sausage dressing. I decided to make it today. Since I don’t really do Thanksgiving, why wait? Came out okay considering I didn’t have everything I needed (no thymee or marjoram)–I had the required stuff.

  • gloria patterson

Off to walmart around 8:30 this morning had a return. It was almost 60!!! Did this and that got home around noon and it was 70!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By 7 am it should be about 37 and chance of snow showers

  • Kate Sarsfield

Tamra: I hope your poor toes gets better soon!
Gloria: The little ginger kitten will be called either Paddy (an Irish whiskey) or Jasper – you choose!
    Michele: Bon Voyage!
    Connie: Oops, forgot the chocolate!

The roads weren’t too bad today and we managed to get finished up an hour early so made it home ok. Something’s up with the steering in the car. Am not going to think about it tonight. I need to get warm & stay warm!

    • gloria patterson

Kate – call the little ginger PATTY YOU just had your car checked if there was a problem starting on the steering they should have discovered it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Make you a large cup of tea and maybe add a little whiskey, will warm you up from the inside /out STAY WARM

  • heather

We are getting a major storm at the moment. It is still dark out so I can’t tell if it snowed or not. I have some running around to do today but not driving in the snow.

  • Tamra Phelps

Wow, it’s like it never quite gets daylight these days, lol. I mean it was so gray and rainy today that had to turn on all the lights even during the afternoon!

  • gloria patterson

Decided to run a few errands today and will also go out wed. We still have 40′ & 50’s for another day…………….. then thur the snow (50% chance) is coming. We could get some or a lot…………….. or nothing!

Off to bank, post office, kroger for prescriptions. …… HOME

Just got off the phone with amazon. Last friday I called amazon the post office said they delivered a package to my mailbox. Well my mailbox is LETTER SIZE and the package was a small end table with drawers. It would not fit. Talked to post office early on monday and have not heard back from. So talked to amazon and they are issusing me a gift card for the total amount today. Then I have to order the table again.

  • heather

We are preparing here for a Big storm. It sure is cold this morning and they say the wind will be pretty bad as long as we don’t lose power!

  • Kate Sarsfield

And just like that, winter has arrived. Freezing rain, some sleet & a light falling of snow. The view of the mountains, covered in ‘proper’ snow is wonderful. So far, so good but if it gets much colder, I’ll be bringing the shed kitten inside the house (I’ve a big crate he can live in for a bit). Not looking forward to the long drive to the rescue centre tomorrow but plan on leaving a lot earlier than usual & getting the weekly shop done as well. Keep warm, folks!

  • Tamra Phelps

Went to the doctor today. Turns out my big left toe hurts so bad because it has infection around the nail. No idea how it happened! Anyway, antibiotics for that, and hopefully it will heal quickly.

  • gloria patterson

Was not even in the mood to go out today. Have to go on tomorrow have prescriptions to p/u.

Done a little bit of nothing today, don’t know where the day got to

  • Kate Sarsfield

It’s cold! Sleet is falling & will freeze overnight. Have been for a run in the car & have covered the engine and windscreen. The shed kitty is well protected & fed (remember to up the amount of food for outdoor animals, folks) and my own are snug inside. Of course, my Raynaud’s Syndrome is back with a vengeance, even with gloves on, so I’m using a hot water bottle as well to keep my hands from going numb. Wish I had my curtains up to help keep the heat in but that’s not going to happen till I can find/afford a handyman/woman, so no point fretting about it. Actually wrote my Christmas cards last night! Only 10, but at least that’s one more thing crossed off the list.

    • gloria patterson

Kate Hot water bottle in one hand and a cat in the other might help some. Hang in there hope the cold weather does not last to long. All of you in the bed will keep it warm lol

  • heather

It’s a Monday that’s for sure. I am getting things going here and moving pretty slow have had a headache for the past couple of days and hope it passes soon.

  • Tamra Phelps

I’m having a few days where I start to feel like I’m a little bit much, lol. Not that I care but I have run into a few people lately who are much more laid back and I think I need to take it down a notch.

  • Kate Sarsfield

Michele, I can’t believe you’re that close to leaving T&T. I can’t even imagine all the jumbled emotions that you must be going through. Mind yourself xxx

As for me in this corner of the west of Ireland, our temps are falling. FAST. Tomorrow we’re due to reach -9C which is -17F. Can’t remember ever hitting that low. Once upon a time, working as a food technologist, I was responsible for monitoring the deep freezers. They were -32 and boy, that was cold. Still, I’ve got everything I need and am prepared!

    • gloria patterson

Kate if it gets that cold the kids will be staying in the house with you. And you all may get cozy in the bed. Stay warm, relax and rest!

  • Michele Soyer

Happy Sunday…Having another neighbor over after lunch for cocktails – she loves my concoctions. lol….tomorrow a quick trip to the vet for health certificates. AA requires them 7 days priot to flying – well we are even closer….
Everything sorter – ordered a car for the airport pick-up so I can relax now with all my lists checked off!!

  • Jennifer Wilson

Don’t have any cash for Christmas gifts this year, but did use a gift card today that I won to buy some Crocs for my father in law.

  • Kate Sarsfield

Went out early-ish to buy logs for the fire ahead of the wintry weather we’re expecting. Loaded up the car & decided to get extra catfood & cat litter as well. Was standing in the queue, casually tried to adjust my bra strap at the back as it was making me itch & got my fingerless glove caught on one of the hooks! Nothing casual about it now!!! The lady behind me sorted me out & all was well again. “Have a little nap, then get stuck into painting”, I told myself. Woke up 4 hours later, already dark, with 4 cats sitting outside on the window sill yowling to come in.

  • gloria patterson

What have I done today…………………….. NOTHING

    I know I had a 2 hr nap…………….

Gather clothes to do laundry tomorrow

    Some on the computer

  • heather

I am getting the house warmed up at the moment. Gotta swing by the library this morning and then hit the store. Hope you have a nice Saturday.

  • Michele Soyer

Having a visit today with a neighbor who was literaaly the first person I met here…He worked with the builder and remained a dear friend…Later on making 2 meatloaves so I can relax tomorrow…Truly I am getting a bit sad and nostalgic of living in this house….

  • Jennifer Wilson

I got both my Covid booster and flu shot today. I’m sore. It’s almost 1 AM and my hubby isn’t ready to go to bed yet. Ugh!

  • gloria patterson

Friday morning shopping trip to kroger earn extra gas points off on friday. It is really nice to have a $1.00 off when I fill up!

Its not really cold right now it is 50 (6:03pm) and I have been cold all day.

I ordered (amazon) a narrow little cabinet (10 in wide) 3 drawers and a shelf. USPS said it was delivered and placed in my MAILBOX. Well my mailbox is letter size (there are 100 mailboxes in a very small space. So NO WAY was it in the mailbox looked around no where. So I wait till today after mail delivery and no little cabinet showed up.

So I called amazon and told a rep, he looked and said it was place in your mailbox. What, how big is your mailbox? Letter size! So he contact the postoffice and they are doing a search. If it does not show up in 3 days then call them back.

So after that a little this and not much of that

  • Kate Sarsfield

At last the foggy weather’s cleared up so headed out to do the weekly shop & pick up some odds & ends from the hardware store. Believe it or not but we’ve had no rain at all so far this month & much higher temps than usual. All is set to change though next week. Below zero, sleet, possibly snow … ugh …

    • gloria patterson

Kate did they get your furance or what hooked up???? Below zero you want heat!!! Your kids maynot want to go out of the house at all.

  • l p

the day is going well. grocery shopping was successful – they had enough of the sale items to provide choice – so I got everything on my list. enjoy the day and upcoming weekend. thanks

  • heather

I over did it yesterday too much running around and too much work here at home. I am a little worn out today and am just going to take it easy. Happy Friday to you.

  • l p

the day is going well. trying to get adjusted to the new season and all it brings. looking forward to a meal with a friend. enjoy the day. thanks

  • Kate Sarsfield

I had planned on going to Ballina to do my weekly shop but my shoulder’s been hurting for a few days, so took the day off. Monday’s fog is still around as well so doing as little driving as poss. Just did the usual cat-related chores.

  • heather

I am getting my shopping list together to head out to the store. I want to make my veggie chicken crockpot recipe and I just need a few things like the chicken. lol

  • Tamra Phelps

After cancelling a doctor’s appointment in Lexington Friday so I could make one locally, and rescheduling the Lexington one and changing all the transportation arrangements, the local one called today and needed to cancel Friday. Heavy sigh. Okay. I had to rearrange everything to Monday.

  • gloria patterson

Out the door at 7:15 temp was 32!!! Had a Dr appointment at 7:30 just up the road. In and out quick no problems.

Several stops then home. Everthing away and down for a 2 hr nap

  • Kate Sarsfield

10 more cats/kittens re-homed in the last week & 3 pups. Just as we were finishing up, a man arrived at the gate with 2 tiny kittens he’d found under a hedge in his garden. He had them in a plastic carrier bag, not even a blanket. They were freezing but 10 minutes down the front of my shirt as the others got cages & food ready and they were soon wriggling about, happy! First time I’ve had to sanitise my boobs but I sure as hell don’t want to catch ringworm or anything else nasty.

  • Debbi Wellenstein

IMy husband id a load of laundry today, and I cleaned out the freezer underbneath the fridge. The excitement never ends!

  • heather

Late start for me today sure didn’t want to get up this morning. Craving a big breakfast too so off to make that at the moment. Hope you have a great day.

  • Michele Soyer

I have a lot of moving around today…stacks of seedling planters and garden pots to give away…also garden tools, meshing and bips and bobs of this and that garden wise…staring with my closest neighbor who is a serious gardener then down the trace…all of this stuff is too good to toss in the bin….

  • gloria patterson

I slept in this morning till 6:30 first time in a long time. Its not really cold right now temp is 51 but I have been cold all day. Kicked the heat on several time and I have on sweats.

Had a 2 hr nap but have really not done a lot of anything today.

  • Tamra Phelps

Not much is happening today. I have a doctor’s appointment Friday, so there’s that to dread, lol. It’s just a regular visit, nothing bad, though.

  • Kate Sarsfield

Got a bit more painting done but not as much as I’d planned as the weather’s so damp, I was afraid it wouldn’t dry. Got a lot of tidying up done though, prepped meals for the week, so I’ll have more time on Thurs & Friday to paint (I hope). We’ve had fog for hours & it’s due again tomorrow so very little chance of getting anything done in the garden. Dark by 4.30 these days & no wind, just still & bleak, bit like myself!

Gloria, I spent hours Googling my Edwardian ceiling-mounted clothes airers. They have a pulley system to raise & lower and hung over the kitchen range. Can be used for hanging pots & pans, flowers for drying, hams for smoking/drying etc. There’s lots of modern variations especially suited for apartment living where space is limited.

If and when I find the cables for my camera, I’ll post pix of before and after of the house & garden for you!

    • gloria patterson

Kate a lot of people today are using all kinds of hanging racks/racks from ceiling or sitting on the floor. Some of the facebooks I follow they talk about it being a major saving on their electric. Rack vs Dryer. I could see you using it in for clothes or also hanging all kinds of plants from it. OR just to keep something away from the kids (cats) Is that room going to be heated?

Sure hope you find that cable would love to see the pictures.

  • heather

I have a lot of things to do around the house today. Thinking I am going to make meatloaf for dinner we need some cozy food in this rainy weather.

  • Michele Soyer

Got an early start yesterday to do a quick run around the shoppes – got everything I needed and back inside.. Have to make a quick trip to the lawyer today and thats it for the week….Next week vet and a round of goodbyes to all the shopkeepers I have gone to for the past years….

  • Terri Quick

I haven’t been feeling well for the past few days (I have depression & anxiety), so I’ve been trying to take care of myself

  • gloria patterson

Off to the repair shop this morning my side mirror they order was ready to install. Less then a hour it was done, I got in the car and looked (right) at the mirror. It looked black my car is gray…………… OH well there are a lot of cars with different colored parts.

Did a couple other things and came home. Rainy …….. nap time

My favorite Thanksgiving tradition is watching movies all day with my children. I always cook while they play and then when we are done eating we just relax and watch movies.

  • l p

the day is going well. Monday – bread-baking day. lots of activity and wonderful aromas around the house, especially the kitchen. thanks

  • Anonymous

My day is going pretty good! I homeschool my children, so so far we have done math, spelling, and a little bit of reading. I am currently letting them do some crafty projects, they are all so artistic and creative!

  • Jennifer Wilson

We got back last night from a five day visit to my inlaws. You know my life has been a nightmare when it felt like one of the best vacations ever. LOL (I do like my FIL and step-MIL so that’s just more of an inlaw joke, but the last month has been a nightmare like I’ve never lived.) Also during the trip I got to see my BFF from elementary school who I hadn’t seen in 30 years. He and my husband hit it off, and we had a wonderful evening together. I also visited FIVE different “reuse” stores — second hand thrift stores that are all for arts and crafts supplies. I’m going to have to be immortal to finish all the projects I bought over the weekend. 😀

  • Kate Sarsfield

Painted most of the ‘former kitchen, soon to be gardening room’. Will finish off tomorrow & then on Thurs. I’ll start putting it all together. I’d love one of those old airers that hang from the ceiling! It’s save so much space. Might lose an hour or two on Google checking them out.

    • gloria patterson

Kate I had to look up AIRERS had no ideal what it might be. Do you have thrift stores etc near you? Maybe you could find something there. It sounds like it would be a great thing to have. I could see it hanging down and you attaching different flowers pots to it. It would be great if you could take some pictures.

  • heather

Hope you have a nice Veterans Day. I am just getting going here this morning was up at 4am. We are getting some heavy rain right now and it is music to my ears.

  • Katelynn Hunter

I had a fairly good day today as well and I hope everyone else did the same. My Sunday was spent downloading a few new books and cleaning up after my doggies (lol)

  • Cindy Merrill

I a have been battling a severe cold all week and it’s still hanging on, so it’s time for desperate measures: My grand father;s cold remedy.
Boil one cup molasses, 1/4 cup cider vinegar until syrup forms ball in a tall glass of cold water. Remove from heat, add half of a finely minced onion and one tablespoon hard liquor – any kind will do), mix this all up and pour contents on a buttered or well oiled plate. The victim ( that’s me) is required to eat all of it at one sitting.

    • gloria patterson

OH hell NO! just thinking about eating that would kill me. I had that problem the cold would not go away after a week. Off to the walk in clinic………….. Pneumonia …. 3 antibiotics …. 3 days later it was gone!

  • Dana

Today was better – met up with a friend for coffee (well I bought a bag of coffee – it was afternoon, after all – one doesn’t want it to mess with your sleep)

  • Polly Hall

It was a cold rainy day so I decided to go through some strorage cabinets, I now have 3 large boxes of things to go to Goodwill. I feels good to get rid of things.

  • Annmarie Weeks

Thanksgiving is my fave holiday! And stuffing is my fave Thanksgiving food! We actually have a family joke/tradition around it. When I was young, I would take WAY too much stuffing on my plate so my mom made the rule that I was the LAST person to get the stuffing. When my hubby found out about that years later, he made sure that rule continued over the years. So even now at 58 years old, with 2 grown children, I am still “not allowed” to take stuffing until everyone else has. Sigh.

  • Annmarie Weeks

I’ve had a pretty nice Sunday. Have been watching football pretty much all day, and am currently at the top of the office football pool for the week! I usually don’t do this well!

  • gloria patterson

I was up early did a little of this and that. Then did a Kate and took a long nap. Just finished eating and great niece called………… wanted to know if she could come down. Yes of course. Grandma walked her down and dropped her off. Grandma’s back was hurting. When I was taking to zay asked what she had done today………….. DRAW DRAW THAT ALL JUST DRAW! Grandma slept all the time and Jerry (adult cousin) just watched football!

So now she is eating mac & cheese and watching Friends…….. she loves the show

  • Lisa Williams

I love my kids coming over for Thanksgiving,I’m always so happy to see them and cook with my daughter with holiday music on in the kitchen it really gives me the holiday spirit.

    • Connie: The Head Peanut

Lisa I hear that! I’m so excited that my son and family will be here for Thanksgiving. I’ll be putting my tree up this week because…… well, it MAKES MY SON NUTS when I put the tree up ‘too early’ (like there IS a too early?!? Pffffttttt)

  • Lisa Williams

My husband is sick on the couch so I’m in care taker mode and my cats want attention. I wish I had something happier to comment on but what can I say? life happens.

  • Kate Sarsfield

Woke bright & breezy at 9am and made a list! Checked on shed kitty – he’s fine so let him out into the sunshine while I cleaned up after him, then started (again) on the back room. Shifted paint pots & tools to one side and swept down the ceiling & walls. Tomorrow I’ll paint one side and repeat on the other sides. I had already done it, so it won’t take long. It’s remarkable how much space there is when all the cupboards, sink etc. have gone. It was a bit poky & dark before. It will be all white washable paint with shelving & my gardening table, that I’ll bring in from the garden & re-paint. I’ll paint the door a bright, sunny, yellow.

Yes, Gloria, thank you, I’m feeling refreshed at last.

  • heather

It is a lazy Sunday morning for me. I did not want to get out of my warm bed this morning that’s for sure. We are hopefully going to get some rain here and I need to haul fire wood to the house.

  • Michele Soyer

Happy Sunday.. a friend called last evening and suggested a drive to the sea today – I am so in…going to pack a lunch and I am ready to go…

  • Ed

Had a great day today! Worked the Jets game and they won again to go to 14-1 on the season and the Bombers advanced to the Grey Cup!

  • Tamra Phelps

Man, I nodded off sitting in front of the TV this afternoon and didn’t really wake up until about 7, lol. Geeze. I am just always sleepy lately.

  • gloria patterson

Did a lot on the computer today. And a little nap LOL

  • Kate Sarsfield

Slept & slept again. Fed cats & myself, slept again. Woke, did the usual chores and slept again. Do feel rested now at last.

  • heather

I am off to the local library today need to pick up some itmes just wish they opened earlier they don’t open til Noon. Is it just me… or are places opening later and later these days? I get up early and like to get all my running around done in the morning but seems like everthing opens at Noon these days when did that all change? The Mall opens at 11am, Pizza place 11am heck even Costco opens at 10am! That’s nuts!

  • Michele Soyer

What to do today? I look around and realize there is truly nothing to do but relax, listen to music and read…Trying to arrange a few more visits with people I do want to say goodby to….

  • Terri Quick

Today is the 36th anniversary of my father’s passing. I’m trying to stay strong, just like he was, but I can’t help still shedding a few tears.

  • Kate Sarsfield

Woken up by the cats at 6am. AGH!!! Fed them, let one out, then another, then one in, then two out, then two in, checked on the shed kittie and he’s doing fine, back to bed and have just woken up at almost 6pm!!! Now the conundrum; do I eat my muesli, fruit & yoghurt breakfast or chuck a pizza in the oven.

Yes Tamra, our Aldi is the same as yours. We also have Lidl, owned by his brother and pretty much the same.

  • heather

Just getting going here and listening to the news. I sure am praying for all the people and animals in that massive wildfire in Southern California so scary. I am doing laundry today and putting my new sheets on my bed sure hope they are comfy.

  • Michele Soyer

I have absolutely nothing to do today – the day is truly my own….I think if the weather holds I might drive around to say a goodby to places I have seen here and remember fondly…24 years ago the first supermarket I shopped at here with sawdust on the floor, small aisles, very small selection and remember thinking it quaint until i tried to do my usual groceries! LOL.. I adjusted.. and now that grocery is a real supermarket gleaming, shining and no longer quaint!

  • Kate Sarsfield

Busy day! The ginger kittie got to the vet by 9 (neuter, 1st vax, worming & ear tip), did the weekly shop, headed homewards & put a month’s laundry in a machine while I picked up some extras, then headed to PJ, the mechanic who fixed my brake lights. Home & hung out the washing, unpacked the shopping & had breakfast & a pee, then onto Ballina to show the testing people that my car is road-worthy. Had a breather, collected more PVD glue & popped into Aldi to buy a drill hammer. HOME & unpacked, scrubbed out the shed floor, re-laid plastic sheeting, a warm bed, food & water. In between all this, feeding my cats, going for a pee etc. then back to Castlebar to collect kitten, got lost (it’s a very old town, full of narrow, medieval streets & all one-way system), finally found the right exit out of town and got home at 7pm. Fed the cats, then put kitty in the shed. Had a pee, something to eat, checked on kitty (all’s well) & now my time is my own. Except it’s 11pm, my back hurts & I need to pee again …

  • heather

Groggy morning for me didn’t want to get up today hit the snooze button three times. Now off to make breakfast hope you have a nice day.

  • Vera Godley

Day is fine but slow moving as usual but that’s normal for me. Super nice giveaway opportunity and wonderful comment responses.

  • Michele Soyer

Except for the heavy traffic which is expected the day went very well…went to AA in their new offices ( had not been there since 2014) then the trek back to Grande – decided to stop at the pet shoppe for litter and then it hit me that neither my daughter or I had watches anymore! my very good one needs a battery that only jewlery stores have and no one here had them ( I will do that when when I get to the states) when traveling I find it easier to check my wrist then pull out my phone or look around the airports for clocks….so we ended our day out looking for watches and we found exactly what we needed success….today will be another phone call day…

  • Lorri Dockery

Oh my goodness, someone with the same Thanksgiving leftover sandwich that I eat!! Turkey, Mayo, cranberry sauce… The best!!!

  • Lorri Dockery

I have been trying to get my Thanksgiving menu, grocery list and guest list together but the best part of today is having received my new phone (Mine is not even able to update anymore) excited!!

  • gloria patterson

I have done a little bit of nothing today. Wide awake at 5:30 and cannot tell you what I have done today.

NOT in the mood to do anything! I start this and move on to that but never go back to what I was doing.

  • Kate Sarsfield

I have to be up early tomorrow. I’m taking the ‘shed’ kitten to the vet to be neutered & 1st. vax. Have to be there for 8am & I’m not sure where exactly the vet is. It’s on the rescue centre’s account! Once he’s had his 2nd vax I can take him in to be re-homed. We’re still closed due to the feline parvo outbreak, though we haven’t had a case in 2 weeks. We’ve been able to re-home about 30 cats/kittens in the last month! The plan is to start a major disinfecting of each unit (there are 4), re-paint etc. as each becomes empty, then open up again. We’re still accepting emergency cases of course.

  • l p

the day is going well. lots of appointments – so glad they are all in the morning so I have the rest of the day to do work inside. enjoy your day. thanks

  • Suzanne Kornmaier

Well, forecast is for 25-50MPH winds and extreme fire danger so I’m very much on edge. And, I’m very sore because I got out yesterday ahead of the winds and did a serious trim job on my smaller olive tree to keep wind from breaking any branches… other than that, I’m healthy and alive so I can’t grumble too much!

  • heather

I got some seriously good sleep last night for once I didn’t wake up in the middle of the night. I am glad that the election is finally over I was sick of hearing about it all day every single day!

  • Ashley S

I’ve had a strange day. I just got back from vacation yesterday. So I’m happy to be home but sad that my vacation is over. I’m also incredibly tired.

  • gloria patterson

Our town has 2 walmarts and I usaually go to one that is only 4 miles from me. But I was out and stopped at the other one…………….. OMG I found so many good sales. NOT that I needed any tops but I found so many that I liked and they were priced between $2 or $3…………… I got 13 (I know lol) original cost would have been about $165.00 and I only paid $36 plus tax. They were all long sleeves no ideal why they were on sale.

Got home did a few things then took a nap. Just woke up when had a knock at the door. It was great niece and her grandmother. Zay played and we talked.

Right now I am eating a pizza from the freezer on a paper plate NO DISHES

  • LISA HIRST

Favorite food is stuffing, yum! Favorite tradition is having the entire family over. I also love to hear what everyone is greatful for, for the past year. It is nice to hear what the kids really value.

  • James Coyne

I went to the dentist today for a cleaning. I didn’t have any cavities. I had a good day . Even got McDonalds since i was very brave

  • Kate Sarsfield

Had to buy a new microwave (it’s started to make a strange noise, but after 15 years of spinning around, I’d be making strange noises too!). Waited in all afternoon and yes, you guessed it, the courier company didn’t arrive. Tried to get an answer from the AI Bot till steam started coming out of my ears. They had my Eircode (an individual ID no. for each residence in Ireland), phone no. and email but didn’t make contact. I had to have chocolate to lower my blood pressure (!!!).

    • gloria patterson

Kate my micowave died almost a month ago…………. Off to walmart and found a smaller microwave. Does your new one have a child lock on it???? I will tell you to be very carefull about any thing you put in the new one. The new one might have more power then the old one and burn stuff up or bubble over the sides. LESSON learned the hardway LOL

  • heather

I have to make one more trip to the store to get everything we need for election night. Need more snacks as we will be in front of the tv tonight. Hope you have a great day.

  • Michele Soyer

Pouring today so I am so glad I went out yesterday,,,Tomorrow an early start to get to Port of Spain for 8am…time to go to American Airlines…going to POS is not something I enjoy doing anymore.. it used to be a great day out – walking around and enjoying the capital city – not anymore….a shame it has changed so much in the past 24 years…

  • Natalie

My favorite Thanksgiving tradition is watching holiday Hallmark movies with my family before dinner. My favorite food has always been my mom’s baked mac and cheese.

  • gloria patterson

Trip to walmart, I need a new winter coat. Found 2, I liked so picked one out. When I got home I tried it on………….

It is a Faux Leather Shearling Jacket, I really liked it fit good…………… etc etc etc

When I took it off the sweater I had on was cover with little white balls……………

NO WAY this coat is going back!!!

Have not done much of anything……………. have not even had a nap!

  • Kate Sarsfield

Woke at 8, fed the cats, woke at 1.30pm, fed the cats, made a couple of phone calls and am ready to sleep again. Time to get my bloods checked, I think. This can’t be normal & I’ve felt this way for a couple of weeks now.

  • heather

I am listening to the news at the moment and can’t wait until the election is over. I have a lot of running around to do today making sure I wear my comfy shoes.

  • Michele Soyer

I plan on sweeping up around and vacuuming the empty rooms – where does the dust come from? if the mood tickles me a short ride to the sea – want to watch those waves! we are in a yellow for rough seas so it should be dramatic there….

  • Jennifer Wilson

I’m finally going to get HoneyButter’s ashes this week. She’s my guinea pig who would snuggle up beside me and try to tuck herself under my leg when I had her beside me. I miss that little girl so much. She was so much like a dog in the way she was so devoted to me.

  • gloria patterson

    I HATE THE TIME CHANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am usually wide awake at 6 am …………. today it was 5 am and will be that way for at least a week. So got up got laundry together and down to the laundry room. Only allowed to use between 8am – 10 pm…………… Well the clock in the laundry room when I got there said 7:45 am of course it had NOT been changed. By 8 laundry done put away.

Did a little of this and some of that…………… I had 7 clocks (includes 3 AERO gardens) to reset

About noon decided I needed a nap ……….. 3 hrs later LOL

  • Kate Sarsfield

A lovely, lazy Sunday. Spent the day watching old Bela Lugosi B&W films, doing a bit of tidying-up & planning my week ahead.

  • heather

My day is going much better now that Giveaway Tools form is working today they were down yesterday on all blogs. Well, I am making a big grocery list and hitting the stores tomorrow ahead of election night. I am going to make sure that I have plenty of adult beverages to make it through the night!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

  • Michele Soyer

Well the Friday loading day came and went perfectly! Our 2 man team brought all the furniture we are taking 2 bedroom sets, wine frig, 4 book cases and other asst bips and bops plus 235 boxes to the truck loading area in our garage.. the truck man did the rest and it just made it in two 20 foot moving vans….off to the port they went – we actually watched them go down our trace….they will stay at the secure facility of our shipper until 5th then be loaded onto the container and moved to the vessel for sailing on the 11th….
The day was sunny and bright with no rain in sight and for that I was so grateful…
so here we sit with an empty apartment downstairs except for frig and stove and bare bones furniture up here…
I look around here and the memories just flood back – the building of this house – the days we slept in here with no doors or windows just cardboard …. no running water.. cooking on a camp stove….it seemed like an adventure then and now when I think back it seems so unreal…I love this house very much and I hope the new owners make great memories in here too…
Have to get going and put a chicken to roast and grab my book with another cup of coffee….

    • Kate Sarsfield

Oh Michele! I’d no idea you were so far along the moving route. It’ll be like camping in your old home. Time to remember all those old memories. When do you two actually move out? That’ll be tough but exciting at the same time. Best wishes xxx

      • Michele Soyer

Then within hte next 1-2 years off to Corfu..Tamra this is it for me, I only have one more big move to navigate and I am truly done…

  • Michele Soyer

Since we have not lived in the US for 24 years on Thanksgiving I always bring an assorted selection of my traditional foods to one of my neighbors….

  • Jennifer Wilson

I think when entering I left a link to something else instead of my youtube name. I am JenniferShortJenndiggy and I follow you. LOL I tried to cut and paste, but that worked about as well as anything else in my life the last month!

  • Jennifer Wilson

My favorite Thanksgiving tradition is either turkey TV dinners or turkey subs from Sheetz. I know it sounds weird, but one Thanksgiving it was just Mom and me, and our oven was broken, so we went the TV dinner route. We realized how much we enjoyed having the food and not all the work with preparing or clean up. When my husband and I got married he used to work at Sheetz, and got time and a half for holiday. He was required to work 4 hours on Thanksgiving, so we couldn’t visit his family, and by then my Mom had passed. So we started doing turkey subs for Thanksgiving (from Sheetz). He would also volunteer to work 1 or 2 extra shifts (they were 4 hours for that day) so someone else could have the day off. More money for us!

  • Maureen

Growing up my favorite item was my grandmother’s stuffing. Actually it was most of her grandchildren’s favorite item.:)!!

  • Maureen

I love that the colloer weather is starting to come in and that the fall season is beginning even though it has been here for over a month. It was a gift we were given but then each day is a gift.

  • gloria patterson

Well I have been full of energy today!!! Cleaned bathroom, mopped the floors, vac the rest. Cleaned mirrors and the inside of windows. And then I cleaned out my pantry and got a lot of stuff to take down to the give a way table.

Was working on this entry on the computer and got a knock on the door. Zeola ( great nieces grandmother lives here) had the new great nephew baby, was spending the night with her. This is the first time I got to see him. He let me hold him and was just so sweet. He is only 2 months old but he looks like he is at least 4 or 5 months old.

  • Kate Sarsfield

I have done the bare minimum today, just slept & slept! The weather’s so still & damp outside, I mean 100% humidity but cool!

  • Polly Hall

To cold to do any work out doors so I tried a cookie receipe off of Pinterest. Not very pleased with it, to oily and to sweet, so I will not be making them again.

  • Elizabeth

Watching cooking shows with my mom before I run errands later. (The widget seems to not accept today’s entries yet, even though it was more than 24 hours ago…sigh.)

  • heather

I am waking up here and getting the house warmed up. Not sure if I am headed to the store today or not. I sure have a lot of running around to do but it is so nice and cozy at home with the rain and the fire going.

  • gloria patterson

Quick trip to kroger I carry a fold up cooler so all the cold stuff in it and then off to therapy.

I had my last last therapy session this morning………… going to miss it! But I know the exercises to do it is just getting off my ass and doing them LOL

Put the groceries away, got on the computer for a little bit and then did a kate……………… NAP 2 hrs

  • gloria patterson

Thanksgiving ……………….. we usually have it at my sister in laws home. But one of my nieces is talking she wants to have it at her home this year…………..

Where ever it is I will visit krogers the day before and buy a pie or something……….. NO COOKING FOR ME.

They make bread dressing and to me that is just so gummy………. HATE it but of course I always eat some.

What I like………. Always bring turkey home for leftovers. I always have cornbread stuffing (box) in the cabinet and I will fix that and heat up the turkey, stuffing and cranberries. The perfect leftovers and depending later I might make a sandwich with turkey, dressing and cranberries.

  • Kate Sarsfield

Great, I thought to myself, no rain this week. I should have read the small print: 100% humidity & no wind. All my laundry is stilll hanging on the line, dripping away, days later. Anyhoo, apart from eating most of the goodies I bought for little people coming to the door (I knew none would come, so really I bought them for myself!), not a lot has happened today.

    • gloria patterson

Kate does the candy go half price on Nov 1?????????????? I was at kroger this morning and there were lot of people in the candy aisle stocking up.

I don’t get any kids so I don’t buy it

the day is going well. it’s overcast and chilly but that hasn’t stopped the next-door construction. sure hope the eye infection was caught early enough to not have major consequences. sorry your hands are spasming on you. good luck with the neurology consultation. thanks

My favorite Thanksgiving food will always be my grandma’s cornbread stuffing. I love that stuff. My least favorite is turkey. I go for ham every time, lol.

I am getting it in gear for November. Need to change the wall calendar. I can’t believe we change the clocks this weekend. I am making potato soup for dinner with some ham and peas thrown in there too.
