Electronic Cigarettes

Personally, I’ve never smoked. I did try smoking once; my dad caught me and made me eat the cigarettes!! Yes, EAT as in, chew and swallow the cigarettes. That was so NASTY!! So, after that, no amount of peer pressure could EVER make me try again. No matter how sexy the people on television made it look, there was NO WAY I was going near another cigarette. EVER!! I’m 55 years old and I never have. So, to this day, I don’t understand the pull of cigarettes.  See Dad??? I learned!! Well, at least THAT lesson!!

I know what you are thinking!! But, truly, I am NOT going to preach to you or try and talk you out of anything!!  Well, except my Mom and my son Zachary. They need this information and they are the reason for this post!! They both read the blog and this is the best way to give them information.  ZACHARY TAYLOR you just keep reading little mister!! There will be a test for you later!

So, first up! The cost. HOLY MOLY people!! Dats a lotta dough!! WOW! PER PACK!?! Then tax??!  Holy MOLY!!  Sorry, I have to say one last one HOLY MOLY!!!  I think that’s a new car!! Zachary!!

Since my main goal is trying to get my son to quit smoking cigarettes, I’ve done a lot of research about electronic cigarettes.  The cost alone seems like it would be an amazing alternative!! 21st Century Smoke has kits that are available with the highest being $39.99. That to me seems like such a great alternative.

While I’m asking questions, I have to ask about the smell. I promise, I’m not trying to be mean here, like I said, I’m not a smoker and I never have been. In my defense here I’m a very considerate non-smoker, I don’t wave my hand, make rude remarks, I just ignore it and move. So I promise I’m not picking, I just want to understand, cigarettes stink. BAD!! Do you not smell it? Or is it a pleasant smell to you? Once again, I think the e-cigarettes seem like a much cleaner alternative.

Okay, I’m getting off my soap box now, but, I hope you will take a moment or two and check out how Electronic Cigarettes work. Zachary, that isn’t a request for YOU!!! I would say that to my Mom too…. but, I’m not 100% sure she can’t ground me!

Love,
Mom

I am a smoker but this sounds like a great alternative. I have cut back a great deal by limiting where I smoke but think I might give this a try. Thanks for sharing

OK I QUIT IN JULY. HEART BUT NOT HEART DISEASE A VIRUS ATTACKED MY HEART. OTHERWISE IM FINE. I USE E CIGS. NO ITS NOT AS GOOD & I PINE FOR A CIGGIE. I WILL STAND NEXT TO SOMEONE & JUST SMELL IT. OG I MISS IT. HERE ARE 2 ONE THE MARKET THAT ARE VERY GOOD. FOR BOTH YOU NEED THE STARTER KIT & I WILL SAY GET 2 SO YOU ALWAYS HAVE ONE CHARGING. MISTIC IS AVAIL AT WALMART & ONLINE. YOU HAVE CHOICE OF REG OR MENTHOL & ALSO HOW MUCH U WANT AS FAR AS NICOTINE OR NONE AT ALL. THE OTHER IS SAPHHIRE WHICH IS ONLY AVAIL ONLINE. THAT ONE IS THE BEST SO FAR THAT I HAVE FOUND. THE “BLU” CIGGIES & ENJOY ARE HORRIBLE. HOPE THIS HELPS.

I totally have to agree with Tara O. My son and his wife switched over to a vaporizer. It is a little different than an e-cog. It is actually a water vapor it has a heating element that heats the juice to vapor it is vg/pg with nicotine and flavoring no carcinogens
It is longer than a e-cig about 10-12inches I think. Most of them kind of hold them down towards their chest like a clarinet. GrandTraverseVapor.com you can get all the information you need and possibly find one closer to you.Oh as to the flavors, they even have Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup! It is great for me because of my asthma. I can’t be around the smoke at all. With this they have been able to use it right in the house.

I lucked out. I had very sensitive tonsils growing up, so my throat hurt just being around cigarette smoke, that’s why I never started. Consequently, I look around the same age as my youngest sister, who’s 20 years younger than I am.

I was just looking into this as well. I have seen two people with them and stopped and asked them how are the working? One, said they have been using them a year and have cut down and back on nicotine. The other said he has been using them 6 months and still smokes regular cigs after he eats but has cut back greatly. I found coupons all over web sites for them. I was looking for a free starter kit, lol. My son is trying to quit too, he does not want to smoke around his little girl. My neice is trying the Blu right now as well.

I made the switch to electronic cigarettes about a year ago and I’m so glad I did!! When I smoked regular cigarettes I didn’t notice just how bad the smell was. When I made the switch to e-cigs is when I noticed how awful other smokers smelled! There are a couple important things to buy the right e-cig for your son. If there is an e-cig store close to you it might be best to go there. If not you can order on-line from many of them. If he smokes around a pack a day or a little less or more (like I did) then he’ll want to make sure he gets the correct nicotine level in the liquid and also a big enough tank thing and a powerful battery. I started out with a starter pack and it was a waste of money – it wasn’t strong enough for me and I was still smoking regular cigs! If you get a strong battery and big tank and correct nicotine level then the person won’t want a regular cig again. If you have any questions about it please email me!
