Tips To Keep A Clean Home
A clean home is a happy home, but not all of us enjoying cleaning our property. When your space is quite big, it can feel like a daunting task, but if you keep up with it on a regular basis, there will be no need to do a big clean that takes you all day on the weekend. Here are some tips to keep a clean home.
Have A Morning Routine
When you get up in the morning, do you make your bed and draw back the curtains? If you don’t, then you’ve left your home in a bit of disarray. There’s no natural light that will be coming in through your windows. Giving yourself a morning routine when it comes to cleaning is a great way to start your day on a positive note. Draw back the curtains, take out any clean dishes from the dishwasher, and ensure that the home is left in a presentable state and not in a mess. That way, when you come home from work after a long day, you’ve got a nice space to come back to.
Do An Annual Deep Clean
Cleaning regularly helps, but there will come the point where you’ll want to do a deep clean of your home. This is because a lot of those hard-to-reach places or things like your skirting boards will get missed on your weekly clean up. Set a date in the calendar so that the whole household is aware of when you plan to do the big clean up. It can feel very refreshing, especially when you can declutter your home of any rubbish at the same time. Make a list and assign everyone tasks so that it’s not just yourself who is doing all the work. A group effort is certainly needed when it comes to a deep clean of your home, especially if you have a house with a few rooms that need tackling.
Use The Right Tools For The Job
Using the right tools for the job is important, and whether it’s going with Steamaster for your floors or using an oven cleaning kit for your oven, it’s good to find what works. A lot of household cleaners don’t need to be highly chemical-based. Lemon juice is a great acid to cut through grime and dirt. White vinegar can help with keeping your windows and glass clean. There are plenty of tools and products that you can use within the cleaning industry, and it’s worth getting what you need for the bigger appliances in your home. That way, you can clean them without doing any damage to it.
Clean Up After Yourself As A Rule
And finally, make it a rule for yourself and to others in your household that you clean up after yourself. Anything from chucking out empty toilet rolls to washing your dishes as soon as you’ve finished with them.
Cleaning your home is essential to keeping your household happy and healthy, so don’t let it slip from your attention.

Those are some great tips. I have to agree with Kate Sarsfield, that children play a part in the house cleaning chores. It is a real asset for them in the future. Even when they go to work they will be expected to keep their area neat and tidy. Wish I had done more training with mine. I was a stay at home mom and just did it all.

Great tips. We currently have our home on the market so it is a challenge. I would love to wake up one morning and not make the bed!!!!

Hang on a minute there Connie! If there’s more than one person making the mess then they’re all responsible for the clean up. Even little children can play a part & it’s great training for the future.
