Tomb of the Ten Thousand Dead by L.Ron Hubbard
L. Ron Hubbard’s “THE master storyteller” is a very true statement!! I’m so excited to bring you my reviews of L. Ron Hubbard’s books on cd. This is the second Galaxy’s Stories From The Golden Age book I’ve listened to. The stories are old 1930’s and 1940’s but the cd’s are narrated by today’s stars with sound effects! This particular book was first published in October 1936.
I am addicted to books on cd. I have one going in my car at all times. I go through a LOT of books, but NEVER had I enjoyed books like I have these! Each production is packed with music and cinema-quality sound effects, putting you right into the heart of the story.
Tomb of the Ten Thousand Dead is exceptional!!! The unabridged book is almost 2 hours long. The sound effects are phenomenal!! You can hear foot falls, engines starting, wind, everything that happens in the book comes alive! Believe me, between the narrator and the sound effects I became completely absorbed in the book.
There are 2 short stories “Price of a Hat” and “Starch and Stripes” on disk 2. Again, with excellent narration and the sound effects that really pull you in. Horses, footsteps, birds, even the plate hitting the table.
I really do understand how a family could sit around the radio excitedly listening to these stories. They are amazing!!
The cd is $12 95. These would be awesome gifts!!
Disclosure I received complimentary products for the purpose of my review. No other compensation was provided. The opinions are mine and 100% honest. I have not been influenced in any way.
