TreeSmart Send ’em Back to School GREEN!!
How often do you think about pencils? Me? Never! Except back to school time. The year after the baby moved out of the house, I went to Walmart for a regular shopping trip. I saw the back to school aisle and started the ‘ugly cry’ horrible gut wrenching SOBS!! It was embarrassing! I was crying so hard I had to leave!! Stupid empty nest!!
So now 15 years…. (WAIT WHAT?!?!?! 15 YEARS!!??) later, when I am shopping and I spot the Back to School aisles it makes me laugh.
Now, I still stock up on school supplies but for my Grandkids! According to 5 year old Emma, this NaNa has the BEST pencils that she has ever used in her LIFE!! She’s in kindergarten so she would know!!
TreeSmart has the coolest pencils!! This Oregon based company makes pencils with old NEWSPAPERS!!!! Seriously?!?!?
Emma wrote her thank you cards out and used each and every color. The colors are perfect.
The pencils write smoothly and sharpen just like any other pencil. You seriously would never know they were made from newspapers! Besides they look COOL!!!
Watch this video. AWESOME!!
Check it out! Mixing recycled newspaper and regrind plastic makes a very sturdy ruler. This little 6″ ruler is super handy!
Interested in fund raising for your school or charity??
The prices are excellent too!! I hope you will check them out! Please suggest them to your school as a fund raiser!! This is SO MUCH better than popcorn!! Or wrapping paper!!
Thank you for reading! I’ll see you tomorrow.

Empty nest syndrome – not me I have grand kids to tend to now LOL . These pencils sound so cool . Amazing what they are made of. I will have to look out for them in the store. My grand kids will love them when they are drawing and learning to write their names. thanks for the info
