Even if you don’t live in California I’m sure you’ve heard that we are in a serious drought. California is not green ANYWHERE. It’s brown. Lot’s and lot’s of brown; making it worse we are only allowed to water our yards twice a week. Two very short watering sessions at that! Needless to say my house is now situated in the middle of a dust bowl that I call a yard. Of course, that means that my house is dusty. V-E-R-Y dusty. Top it off my allergies are going nuts! My nose is dry, my eyes are itchy. It’s going to be a very miserable summer!
You have no idea how excited I was to be offered the Venta LW45 Airwasher. This Airwasher couldn’t have arrived at a better time! Honestly!!
What is an Airwasher? It’s exactly that!! This amazing Venta Airwasher is compact in size; 17.7″ × 11.8″ × 13″ and yet it cleans and humidifies up to 800 square feet!!!
DH and I decided to put the Venta LW45 Airwasher in our bedroom. What a brilliant move that was on our part. The first thing we noticed is the difference in how much dust is NOT present in our bedroom. I’m talking a dramatic decline in dust.
The Airwasher works without filter pads. Dry indoor air is drawn into the appliance and passes through the disk stacks rotating in water. The air is literally washed. Impurities in the air, stale tobacco smoke, household dust, pollen and allergens are trapped in the water. Only clean, humidified air evaporates. The Venta Airwasher works on the principle of natural evaporation which is widely recognized as the best method of humidification. No ions, no ozone, no white dust; will not over-humidify.

I want to add that we’ve been running our Airwasher for 3 weeks now and we’ve not had it turn off. We add water every evening before bed.

WHINES
Not a single one! I sleep better because of the humidifier and the amount of allergens that the Venta has removed from the air. The room is dramatically less dusty! Which is an amazing perk!! I am over the moon giddy over this machine!! Airwasher filters the air of microscopic particles; airborne bacteria, dust and allergens AND I don’t have to replace a single filter. EVER!! What could I possibly find to whine about?!

On a more serious note though I use a sleep apnoeia machine at night so it filters allergens & humidifies the air I breath and I can say, hand on heart, that my hayfever & asthma are so much better.
