Win $50 YOUR Way Giveaway February 2024
Hello Little Peanuts! I hope that January was a good month for everyone. I hope that those of you who have been fighting colds feel much better.
Life on the Mountain has been pretty calm. I FINALLY made it off the mountain to go pick up my CPAP machine. YUP! Your diesel generator, chainsaw Head Peanut SNORES. LOUD!! After a sleep study, I was diagnosed with severe Sleep Apnea. So, sleep mask it is. I was quite pleased to find out that all I need is a device that covers my nose and shoots in air.
OKAY, OKAY fine it doesn’t really SHOOT in air but it does send in air in my nose. Since I’m a mouth breather (OHMYGOSH is this another one of my TMI posts?? Why, yes, yes it is!) anyway, mouth breather here.
I started using mouth tape last month. I’m on my second batch from Dream Recovery. So? What is mouth tape?? Dream Tape | Best Mouth Tape for Sleeping and Breathing Benefits | Dream Recovery (If you are curious) The tape works SO GOOD. Add the CPAP machine and The Husband had to make sure that I was alive because I was so quiet. NOW, I sound like a princess. (Tamra! A twisted Snow WHITE Princess!) BAHHHH HAAAAAAAAA HAAAAAA. I am on day 3 of the CPAP and it’s been a struggle to get use to but I am determined to give it a full month before the generator, tractor, chainsaw returns. Anyone else use a CPAP? How long did it take you to get use to it? I’m a side sleeper and it’s weird.
As far as weather goes it’s been so foggy for the past week that we can’t see the road in front of the house let alone see Lake Pend Oreille. Then add so much rain that the snow we have left is very compact and well, basically ICE blocks.
The Husband has been really good about using the tractor to shovel, grate, and crack the ice just in time forrrrrrrrrrrrrr…………. you guessed it……… SNOW coming at the end of the week. I am OVER this weird winter. Could someone contact Mother Nature and ask her to please send me some sunshine.
Okay enough of my updates.

Woke up full of energy. Had breakfast sauage link in the refrig…. baked them and when cool placed in freezer bag. When I want some just pull them out and drop a few in the airfryer. I also had some ground beef that I needed to cook. Browned it up. spices. got grease out, then added sauce with peppers………………. ITS SO GOOD. Kept some out for me to eat and put the rest in freezer bags.
Then my mother showed up and off to walmart we had to go…………..
Connie: The Head Peanut
Full of energy AND productive! SWEET!
Shelly Peterson

I have done NOTHING today except sleep!! Finally had breakfast about 4.30 & went back to bed! It’s turned really cold after yesterday’s rain so will light the fire soon & sort my to-do list for tomorrow.

My day is going well. My friend took me along on her shopping trip to The Dollar Tree. I love that store. I picked up the greeting cards I need for the next six months…. Hallmark cards for only $1.00!
Connie: The Head Peanut
I love Dollar Tree. I can wander in there for hours. I am addicted to their craft section.
Kk P
I can’t believe it’s the end the month. I’m getting ready to go out shopping so I can stay in all week-end. I have some sorting to do in order to make decisions on what stays and what goes. Downsizing can go on forever, it seems.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Downsizing is HARD!! I did it the last move. Unfortunately, I learned NOTHING and I’m back to full cupboards, closets and shelves.
heather
Happy Leap Day to you hope you have a great one. My day is going pretty good just getting reading to have some tea and toast.

Michele Soyer
Woke at 5am realized I have no real work to do today so made a pot of coffee grabbed my book and read in bed until 7am…the outside cats were waiting at the screen door to the gallery – 4 big eyes peeking in…can’t keep them waiting so down to feed them and let Delilah out also…So here I am at half 8 planning on breakfast and my Art History coursework….
Connie: The Head Peanut
THAT sounds like a perfect day.
Renee T
Happy Leap Day. I will enjoy a nice quiet day. Here is a leap day joke: What do athletes wear on Leap Day? Jumpsuits.

Yucky cold, wet, windy weather! But too busy caring for the rescue cats to feel cold. Very tired so went for a nap when I got back at 7pm & have just woken up (11pm).
Connie: The Head Peanut
Sleep good. You need it, the way you work.
Polly Hall
I had the stitches taken out of my back incistion, my doctor put me on an antibiotic because it is inflamed and possibly a bit infected.
Kate Sarsfield
Ouch! Hope it heals soon.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Oh no. I hope you heal quickly. Infection bad! Just ask Tamra.
gloria patterson
At 8 am this morning it was 62 ……………………. and RAINING!!!!!!
Left here at 9 had on sweat jacket with hood……… My hair was soaked time I got in the car and I have front row parking. The guy on the radio said enjoy wearing your light jackets because by this evening you are going to need your winter coat. They are calling for it to be 34 by 8 pm But they are not calling for snow
Ran over to the discount store picked up a few things. Nothing great. Stop and got gas at krogers had .90 cents off a gallon. Use it or lose at the end of this month. Then stopped at subway and got a tuna sub.
Don’t plan on doing anything the rest of the day
l p
the day is going quite well. a late start so I’m behind in my chores. that’s OK – one step at a time. thanks
Tamra Phelps
After a few days of getting close to 70, we are about to drop back down below freezing tonight. Oh well, it was bound to happen. sigh. Spring is near…
Connie: The Head Peanut
Oh my gosh! I have to post to Instagram right now. It’s FREEZING here and snowing to beat the band. Stay warm.
Kate Sarsfield

Natalee Clark
It’s a beautiful day! The sun is shining and it’s not snowing like it was 24 hours ago!
Connie: The Head Peanut
I think you sent your snow to us. In Idaho it’s snowing to beat the band.
Elizabeth
More errands to finish before rain and cold blow back in tomorrow…
Connie: The Head Peanut
I’m so thankful I got all our errands run before the snow hit here. I hope you got yours all done.
Teresa H.
Born and raised among flat farmland in East Central Indiana, I’ve discovered unexpected and oftentimes secret hilly areas and ponds hiding in forests and other areas that can’t be seen by roadway.
Connie: The Head Peanut
That is AWESOME!! I love finding hidden areas.
Karla Sceviour
Hello!! I`m from Newfoundland, Canada!
Connie: The Head Peanut
Hi Karla from Newfoundland Canada. I like to google the areas where everyone is from. HOLY MOLY you are WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY over there. Do you get extreme weather??
Heather Swanson
Going to a concert tonight should be fun!
Connie: The Head Peanut
That sounds like great fun.
heather
My day is going pretty good so far still trying to warm up. Hard to believe it’s the end of the month already.
Connie: The Head Peanut
It’s freezing down here in my craftroom. I am ready to go upstairs and hide under my electric throw. Stay warm.
Michele Soyer
Here we are at the end of another month…there is nothing to really do today outside or inside so after a quick vacuum and dust all I want to do is listen to my old school disco playlist, read and after lunch treat myself to the finale of ” A Murder at the End of the World ” miniseries…guillty pleasure these shows are….
Tamra Phelps
A murder at the end of the world is on my list of things I want to watch, too, Michele!
Connie: The Head Peanut
ROFLMAO!!!!!! Oh my gosh, I’m reading these comments out of order and Murder at the end of the world…. I thought WOOOOOOW who made Tamra mad?? LOL
Connie: The Head Peanut
Okay, I will add that title to my list. I need another one like “Why Women Kill” it was funny, disturbing and had plenty of twists.
Renee T
My day is going well. I went to the dog park before the weather gets cold again.

Connie: The Head Peanut
Suzie, have a SAFE, FUN trip. Hopefully you will come back here and tell us all about it. Have FUN!!
Ed
Had a good day. Went to the Jets game tonight against the Blues. They won!
Alexa Nernberg
I felt really good this morning, after feeling ill all last week. Unfortunately our partly sunny skies in the morning gave way to cloudy skies in the afternoon, with a North wind. Our weatherman says That tomorrow will be warmer. That forecast makes the general public feel good, except for those that suffer with chronic migraines. I’m in that category. As they say in Calgary “If you don’t like the weather, wait 10 minutes and it will change”. I still manage to keep a smile on my face and my glass is always half full. What more can I say?
Connie: The Head Peanut
Alexa, I can feel you smiling from here!! Welcome. I hope you feel better quick. My daughter suffers from chronic migraines, I can see on her face how much pain they cause her. I’m so sorry. Sending you a BIG hug!
Renee T
Our weather was very warm today +70 degrees in Metro Detroit. I hope all Michiganders voted today (or early).
Connie: The Head Peanut
WHAT?! 70 degrees in DETROIT!! LUCKY DUCK!! What is going on with our weather? Idaho is in the 20’s
klp
It’s a good day here. We are downsizing and having lots of fun along the way. We made some rules ahead of time and are pretty good at following them. Sometimes, not. Enjoy….
Connie: The Head Peanut
Good for you. I have the worst time downsizing. YOU are my hero. BUT, let’s not tell My Husband please.
Polly Hall
It was 73 degrees here in West Michigan, normal temp for this time of year here is in the low 30’s. I spent over an hour sitting in the sun reading, I even opened the back door and some windows it was so nice. Bad weather for tonight, a thunderstorm then a flash freeze and snow all day tomorrow.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Seriously?!?! I would like for you to see me laying on the floor, kicking, screaming, ya know the full on temper tantrum. WHY DOES EVERYONE ELSE GET 70 degree weather except ME!?!?! Okay, I got that out of my system.
Polly Hall
LOL it’s in the low 20’s now.
Tamra Phelps
It’s been a day… several things need repairing suddenly, the maintenance guy came by and announced he would have to put in a work order (meaning he can’t fix tyhem himself, they need an electrician/plumber/whatever.)–so, no sleep last night (when everything decided to stop working, lol), tired all day.
Connie: The Head Peanut
I have this theory, that if one appliance or area of my home goes on the fritz then EVERYTHING goes. It’s like they have a suicide pack. So The Husband and I ONLY whisper when something starts to breakdown so the others don’t hear.
Good luck. Hopefully, its a quick easy fix.
Shelly Peterson
I woke up early ane eventually fell back to sleep. Today is a lazy day.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Ahhhhh I do love a lazy day.
gloria patterson
Our temp has been around 65 all day and have had rain off and on all day. The rest of this week and next week we are going to be in the 60’s. Spring flowers are coming up……………..
Did a little cleaning, not much. Little computer work.
About 3 knock on the door and it was great niece’s grandmother and her little cousin (2). She likes to come down and play with the toys and then go in the other room and PAINT!!
She is in the potty training stage and decided they had to go………. I don’t have a little potty. Zeola said they just got in the apartment she started PEEP PEEP
Connie: The Head Peanut
ROFLMAO!! Ahhhhh. I am so glad I’m over the potty training stage. I love that your visitors love to paint and do crafts with you. That was always my favorite activity.
Kate Sarsfield
I hit the garden again. The boys think it’s such a great game! Then went into the field next door & gathered fallen twigs for the fire. Made a veggie lasagne for dinner – needed some hot comfort food!
Connie: The Head Peanut
WOW Kate, your home is going to look spectacular.
l p
the day is going well. the snow has stopped (for now) and the sun’s out so that always adds a few degrees of warmth. getting through lots on the to-do list today. thanks
Connie: The Head Peanut
Stay warm, take the day off.
heather
I am up and getting the house warmed up. It is pretty chilly here they keep saying we’re supposed to get snow but it’s not here yet.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Yeah, our snow is supposed to hit tonight around 10pm. Then WIND! Sunday, we had a couple of wind guts that hit 51 and 50 mph. Surprisingly, we didn’t lose any trees.
Michele Soyer
Today I plan on giving the cistern a second coat of paint and all my outside painting will be done… Play with the pooch and let her run around with me while I water my butternuts and sweep the walkways…lunch and my book – what could be better?
Connie: The Head Peanut
Michele, your place must just sparkle!
Ed
Had a good day. Just relaxing at home now.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Sounds great to me!
Tamra Phelps
It was in the 60s today, & will be most of this week, but of course Winter is still lurking. It’s coming back later this week.
Connie: The Head Peanut
LUCKY DUCK!! My high today will be 23 degrees.
Kate Sarsfield
It’s in the high 30s/low 40s here.
Meredith Brooks
Hey from Houston, Texas! BEAUTIFUL day today! Had to get gardening done before it hits 100 degrees and the humidty takes over!
Connie: The Head Peanut
Lucky! My high will be 23 degrees. I hope Y’all stay cool this afternoon.
Polly Hall
I drove myself for the first time since Dec.8th it was only 5 miles to a friends house for dinner and cards with the girls. I took my leg brace off while driving and put it back on when I got there.
Connie: The Head Peanut
That little bit of freedom had to feel AMAZING!! (I know I probably already asked…. but brain fog!) how much longer will your brace be on?
Polly Hall
I go back next week for xrays I will find out then I hope.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Come on next week….. I hoping for great news from ALL your tests.
gloria patterson
At 4:31 pm it is 67 degrees all week we are going to be in the high 50’s
I started to get dressed to go out this morning………………… and started thinking……….. THERE IS NO WHERE OR ANYTHING I HAVE TO DO!! So I decided to stay home.
Don’t know where the day has gone
Connie: The Head Peanut
WOW!! I don’t suppose you want me to send you my Winter Storm warning?? Time for a nap in the recliner!
Heather Swanson
Started off great I won a book then went grocery shopping lots of bargains!
gloria patterson
Are you on GOODREAD? If not you can enter for LOTS of books paper/audio
http://www.goodreads.com Check them out
Connie: The Head Peanut
SWEEEEEEEEEEET!!! Thank you Gloria
Kate Sarsfield
You didn’t know that? I won lots of books, then they changed the set-up so I could only enter UK/Ireland comps so stopped entering plus with Mum being ill, I gave up reading – just too tired/couldn’t concentrate.
Connie: The Head Peanut
I really didn’t. I’m gonna go check it out. Thank you
Connie: The Head Peanut
Excellent. Congratulations on the book win AND winning at the grocery store.
Kate Sarsfield
I used a CPAP for about a year & yes, had trouble getting used to it but it definitely worked for me. Then Mum got worse, so I was up at all hours & was afraid I wouldn’t hear her over the whooshing sound. Lost about 2 stones in weight during this time and was so tired all the time I had no problem sleeping. Went back for an overnight stay at the hospital & was connected up to all the machines. They & I decided I didn’t need it any more, so gave it back.
Cold again today but you could feel real heat from the sunshine, so managed another couple of hours in the garden. I sprayed the stubborn weeds in the part I’ve cleared & filled another 5 wheelbarrow-loads. Hopefully I’ll get more done tomorrow as it’s back to rain on & off for the rest of the week. The daffs and primroses are out – I do love the splashes of yellow!
gloria patterson
I have a apointment on March 6 to go in and get the TAKE HOME sleep study. There is NO WAY I am going to get it and have that big mask………………….. NO NO NO
Connie: The Head Peanut
I promise, the new masks are so small. You don’t have the full-face thing. Mine just fits over my nose. It’s made of a soft silicone. It really isn’t bad.
Kate Sarsfield
Gloria, the masks are really small! Just over your nose & not so tight that it’d leave a mark on your face. I used to sleep on my belly, that’s why it took a while to get used to. It really helped my asthma too, as I wasn’t inhaling dust, pollen etc.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Kate between you and Michelle I feel like a slug. You two gals do so much outdoor work. IF we don’t get major snow tonight and the wind dies down I have GOT to go outside and do poo patrol. That’s one great perk of winter… ya can’t see the poop.
I know if I would lose weight I probably wouldn’t need the CPAP either. But, these dang steriods and well, being lazy on top of that. I just need to DO it!
Elizabeth
Gotta get the recyclables out today, and get my friend’s CDs back to him…
Connie: The Head Peanut
Your day sounds as exciting as mine.
l p
the day is going well because I’m indoors. it’s quite miserable outside – very cold, windy, still snowing. the construction workers are braving the weather and are spending most of their day just shovelling snow. thanks
Connie: The Head Peanut
OH MAN! I feels so bad for the construction workers. I walked from my car to Walmart and froze. Those poor people are outside all day. Brrrrrrrrrr no thank you.
wendy hutton
cold and snowy, we got about 6 inches of snow overnight
Connie: The Head Peanut
Ewwwwwwwww! Doesn’t Mother Nature Know its time for spring? I’m hoping we don’t get the predicted 6 to 9″ tonight.
Shelly Peterson
It’s already back to Monday. i wasn’t ready for it. Who am I kidding. I never am.
Connie: The Head Peanut
RIGHT?? Do you realize that we only have 3 more days in February?? ACKKKK!! I also just noticed that the picture for the giveaway didn’t include the leap year date. OH MY GOSH!! LOL
heather
I am in a pissy mood today, still ticked off that someone here put an expensive toy in the donation pile by mistake yesterday. Hey how about asking before you just throw stuff out.
Connie: The Head Peanut
ohhhhhhhhhh that would send me over the edge too.Grrrrrrrrrrr
Michele Soyer
Well here we are again at Monday – have to gear myself up to go outside and work…First thing is to sanitize the aviary and trim the foliage in there , then do a front yard clean-up of all the fallen coconut branches – compost next then that’s it! inside and relax for the balance of the afternoon…
Connie: The Head Peanut
Michele, what kind of birds (or animals) do you have in your aviary?
Michele Soyer
White and Apricot doves….
Connie: The Head Peanut
Ohhhhhhhhhh that made me sigh. Beautiful.
Michele Soyer
Love those old B&W films – especially the sci-fi…
Connie: The Head Peanut
NO kidding. The cheezier the better. I loved it when Elvira used to host and comment. I miss her.
Ed
Had a good day. Celebrated some family birthdays this afternoon.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Excellent way to spend a day.
Tamra Phelps
Tomorrow starts a long week of doctor’s appointments, but mostly just routine stuff. Still, not a fun time, lol.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Tamra, we are living parallel lives. All week long either The Husband or myself. It’s gonna be a long week.
Mary Songer
I’m from Massachusetts and I love it. We have terrific sports teams.
Connie: The Head Peanut
That’s awesome! Welcome!
l p
the day is going well despite winter’s return. it has been snowing all day – the kind of snowing where you can’t see across the street. we need the moisture so I hope everyone stays safe. thanks
Connie: The Head Peanut
OH MY!! stay safe, stay inside. We were supposed to get a snow. But nothing except really high winds.
Shelly Peterson
Today was a good day. I went to afriends house for lunch today and visited.
Connie: The Head Peanut
That’s a perfect way to spend a Sunday.
Kate Sarsfield
Much colder today but dry so off to the garden to do as much as I could. Yesterday I was in a Tshirt, today I needed a jacket, hat & scarf. Fire’s lit & just watched B&W It Came From Beneath The Sea!. Can always count on Ray Harryhausen’s special effects!
Connie: The Head Peanut
Yup, still a very weird winter here too. I love the B&W’s too.
Polly Hall
A big surpise today, I looked out at the bird feeder this afternoon and there was a pair of Bluebirds eating the suet cake. I live in the woods we never get Bluebirds here, so special to see.
Connie: The Head Peanut
That’s an AWESOME surprise. I loveeeee the bluebirds.
Elizabeth
Gotta find birthday gifts for a family friend I don’t know super-well…not easy.
Connie: The Head Peanut
That’s really not easy. Yikes.

Connie: The Head Peanut
My view is AMAZING!! I still can’t believe I live here. I’m so lucky.
ONE of these days I’m going to see New York.
wendy hutton
day is going good, lots of chores done this morning
Connie: The Head Peanut
Great job. I actually am finishing up my laundry so I did manage to get a lot done too.
gloria patterson
I was checking my calendar for March and have several Dr apointments coming up. BUT the big thing I notice was MARCH 10TH …………… TIME CHANGE
I am so ready for this time change.
Have not done much today but a little of this and a lot of this.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Don’t you just wish they would pick a time and LEAVE IT ALONE?!?! It doesn’t mean an aweful lot when you are retired but still…… no touchy no mo.
Elizabeth
The local art supply shop is having a big 75th anniversary thing today, I’m off to check it out.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Ohhhh I am jealous. That sounds like a GREAT shopping trip. I’m anxious to hear what deals you came home with.
Elizabeth
I was so sad that I missed out on the goodie bags (I got there within five minutes of opening, but I guess people got in line earlier than that), though I did get a $5 gift certificate in the spin-a-wheel thingy. They had some cute corgi-themed pen cases my older niece will like…
Connie: The Head Peanut
Ahhhh man! Sounds like a black friday thing. People spending the night outside the doors. LOL $5 is still good.
Molli Lillian Taylor
i have been struggling with illness but i am on the mend and catching up now!
Connie: The Head Peanut
Molli, I hope you are 100% soon. Sending you a BIG HUG!!
heather
My day is off to a nice start so far. I am having a quiet Sunday hope you have a nice one too.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Thank you Heather. I’m having a great Sunday. Nice and quiet.
Michele Soyer
Doing absolutely nothing today except Sunday lunch! Chicken , potatoes and carrots already in the roaster and some sliced plantains with cinnamon and nutmeg baking in the toaster oven…. now breakfast more coffee and my playlist and book….Happy Sunday all….
Connie: The Head Peanut
Michele, you know how to do a Sunday!! Sounds fabulous.
Shelly Peterson
I slept in a bit and then picked up a grocery order. Going to my daughters later for dinner and game night.
Heather Swanson
I found lots of bargains grocery shopping today.
gloria patterson
It has been a interesting day. Temp today has just got to 32 ……………
At 9 this morning ( while I was doing some craft projects) I looked out the window pouring down comes the snow. Yesterday was high of 62. I live on the 6th floor so my view is a lot of older homes roofs. In less then a hour all the roofs, grass and cars were covered with snow. It would melt as soon as it hit the roads and sidewalks to warm. Right now at 3 pm ALL the snow is gone.
NO nap didn’t feel like one. Cooked chicken breasts in the oven, so dinner is ready for later and left overs for tomorrow.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Well at least the snow is melting fast. WEIRDEST winter EVER. About an hour ago my phone buzzed with a “Winter Storm Event” notice. Ummmmm that notice did not come with a ‘no thank you’ button or an unsubscribe. I NO WANTY SNOW!!! I want sunshine.
We had roast chicken last night it was deeeeeeeelicous. Tonight the leftovers are going in a samich. DONE!
gloria patterson
Right this minute I am eating a big chicken sandwich just hits the spot!!
I am also all over winter!!
Connie: The Head Peanut
Chicken sandwiches is what I fixed us last night. It did hit the spot. I suppose I should think of food for dinner.
l p
the day is going well. construction workers arrived at the usual time and are working away. amazing what they can do in the winter. as I was walking by them, I realised most were speaking Spanish! time for a cuppa. thanks
Connie: The Head Peanut
With any luck at all the construction guys will be gone by summer when the windows will be open. Do you think that will be possible? Work fast guys. WORK FAST.
Ed
Having a good day. Looking forward to working the Moose game tonight.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Wooo hoooo Moose!
Tamra Phelps
It’s a slow Saturday here. Feels almost like a Sunday. Lol, fine by me. No erands that need to be done, nowhere I have to go. Suits me.
Connie: The Head Peanut
I’ve spent the morning in the craftroom, trying to speed up the blog. SO FAR I didn’t BREAK IT!!! Fingers crossed. But, the weather turned so cold my fingers hurt. So once I finish answering comments I’m headed upstairs to stand before the wood stove. brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Kate Sarsfield
Golly, it’s turned cold again so, with that in mind I went on a kindling hunt. One hour later I had a wheelbarrow-full of twigs and a very wet foot (leaky boot). A bit of lunch, then back to the garden (this time with a plastic bag on my foot!) and put in a couple of hours till the sun went in. Lit the fire, pizza in the oven – lovely!
gloria patterson
Kate you need to get a patch and fix that boot!!!! LOL Enjoy your weekend
Connie: The Head Peanut
DUCK (fine…. duct) tape. At least till the boots go on sale.
Kate Sarsfield
Already ordered a pair off eBay: bright red!!!
Connie: The Head Peanut
HOT DIGGITY!!! I do LOVE red!!
Polly Hall
It’s a beatuiful sunny day but very cold so the hubby has a nice fire going.

Connie: The Head Peanut
My little sister lives in Austin Texas. You guys get some major heat.
Tamra Phelps
We are actually supposed to get up in the high 60s next week. Sounds great, but I know it just can’t last…
Connie: The Head Peanut
How many times do I have to tell Mother Nature. SEND SUNSHINE! SEND SPRING! She’s just not listening.
Polly Hall
I got most of my housework done today so I can relax the weekend away.
Connie: The Head Peanut
I take it the walls are all washed and furniture is back in place? The Husband and I were talking about the windows this morning. I am REALLY not looking forward washing those.
gloria patterson
I was at krogers in the check out lane (they only had 2 open with cashiers) and talking to people. We got to talking about stores etc that are no longer open. The couple next to me moved over to another opened lane. They got out first and I saw them headed over where I was parked. Two silver gray cars different models. The lady was trying to open MY passenger door. Then she pulled her keys out to unlock the door, and I yelled wrong car. Hubby was loading up his car and looked over my car and said “HONEY WHAT ARE YOU DOING?” By the time I got there we were all laughing so hard.
So now I am doing some computer stuff
Connie: The Head Peanut
OHMYGOD that’s hysterical!!!!!! I love that so much. Thank you for that laugh.
Ron F
I’m from the border of Alberta and Saskatchewan in Canada 🙂

Connie: The Head Peanut
OHHHHHHHHH Dollar Tree oh how I love you. LOL It’s one of my favorite stops. They have the BEST craft section now.
Kate Sarsfield
Hailstones and sleet today so stayed in and have done very little other than see to the cats & a nap. I realised the other day that, even though the house isn’t near finished & I’m constantly worried about money, I’m actually happy! It’s been a while.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Kate that’s GREAT news.
gloria patterson
Congrats!!! I am happy to hear that you are happy!!! There is always going to be something that is not finished or done or what ever…….. and you are always going to be counting your money, that just life.
Tamra Phelps
Glad to hear that you’re happy! I think it’s because you know it will all get done! You can do this.
Michele Soyer
Really glad that you are happy! You have been through a great deal…
Shelly Peterson
Happy Friday! Hooray! But I still have dialysis.

heather
I am doing pretty good this morning still waking up here the sun isn’t up yet. Just doing stuff around the house today. I did a bunch of running around yesterday and it wore me out.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Sounds like a great day to just be lazy. I never need encouragement there.
Michele Soyer
I plan on giving the fish pond a coat of paint today – it looks a bit drab and touch up the cistern – if I still have white paint left I will touch up the turtle enclosure….after that lunch and my book….
Connie: The Head Peanut
I think spending a day with you would be AWESOME and exhausting. Truly the energizer bunny.
Heather Swanson
Saw my chipmink today he thinks it’s spring.
Connie: The Head Peanut

Pretty well! I woke up too early but got a lot of exercise in.
Connie: The Head Peanut
That is a great way to start your day.
gloria patterson
This is a total lazy days! It is in the 50’s but has rained all day. Just checked next week weather and we have 4 days in the mid 60’s
Fixed breakfast then decided I needed a nap……….. running low on energy in the mornings. Almost 4 pm now and I have lots of energy… STRANGE
Starting to think about fixing something to eat……………… and I have a lot of stuff in the freezer quick and easy.
Connie: The Head Peanut
I think my problem is the gray skies. No sunshine to perk me up. A nap sounds great.
I sent The Husband to Walmart to get a roast chicken. (Maybe he will get lost and pick up some Peanut Butter Whiskey too??)
Ed
Having a good day. Just baked some banana muffins!
Connie: The Head Peanut
I love banana bread/muffins. I learned if I use frozen bananas, it makes my bread/muffins so much sweeter and moister.
Kate Sarsfield
I was still awake at 4.30 and that’d be ok if the boys hadn’t woken me at 7 🙁 Back to sleep, woke at 11, back to sleep and woke at 5pm! And that has been my day so far!
Connie: The Head Peanut
It’s all that gardening! Your body needed some sleep.
Elizabeth
Hoping to run some errands in a little while…

Connie: The Head Peanut
OHMYGOSH!!! Color me JEALOUS!! It’s cold and raining in Idaho. (I would add At least it’s not snow… but I don’t want to jinx myself)
gloria patterson
The days are getting longer spring is around the corner……….
Needed a few things from walmart……………. and who goes to walmart and just buys a few things???? Saw a couple of pretty top NO I DON’T NEED YOU!!! Add both to the cart could not decide which one I liked the best. Then off to the bank and stopped and picked up lunch
On the way back on a road FULL of pot holes………………. AND THEY HAD ALL BEEN FILLED IN. Passed the guys doing the work. OUR WEATHER IS BEAUTIFUL mid 50’s all week and next week some in the 60’s.
Connie: The Head Peanut
I have my list for Walmart and sending The Husband to do the pick up. I’m NOT going in. NOPE!! Especially since you said there are cute tops. Nope. I do not (but I want them) need new tops. LOL
I am 1000000% positive that all of YOUR filled in potholes are now on my dirt road. In all the time we’ve lived here the road has never been this bad. AND it’s STILL raining.
I say next week out to lunch and a walk??
gloria patterson
Give it a another 2 weeks and walmart will have ALL THE SPRING CLOTHES OUT………… GOT TO GO CHECK THEM OUT

Tough day at the rescue centre (winter vomiting bug is rampant so people are dropping like flies). Anyway, curled up in bed now, with a bellyfull of chilli, a roaring fire & the 2 lads. It’s pouring down outside & is to continue all day tomorrow as well. One of my welly boots leak 🙁
Connie: The Head Peanut
ACKKKKKKKKKKKK first, time for new welly boots. You don’t need cold wet feet. I’m so sorry about the bug at the rescue center. Stay in bed, relax, read a book.
Tamra Phelps

Connie: The Head Peanut
Still no sunshine here. Still raining.
Kate Sarsfield
I’m now almost 1/2 way pulling up the scutch grass from the front garden! I do it sitting on my little garden stool. Saves my back from breaking! The cats tried their best to ‘help’ and I have the scratches to prove it!

Connie: The Head Peanut
DANG!! Kate, GOOD JOB!! I can’t wait to see pictures.
Tamra Phelps
I’ve been trying to use the new wheelchair, to get used to it, but I had to go back to the old one until my brother can adjust the brakes on the new one. They are so tight it takes all my strength to use them! I mean I have a sore muscle from trying to use brakes, lol.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Well, brakes are important. WE can NOT have you speeding 60mph down the road.

Connie: The Head Peanut
I love quiche. I always make a big batch for Christmas Morning. Now that the kids don’t live close, I need to start making it for no reason.
I’m thinking of making Lasagna Soup for dinner. I really wish we lived close to ANYWHERE that delivered food. LOL
Michele Soyer
I should have left for the shoppes an hour ago but time just got away from me…Once I leave by 8 things should move along nicely….Many stops today – feed and grain, dry goods shop, post box, grocery then a specialty grocery.., should be home by half 10….
Connie: The Head Peanut
Hopefully you did all your errands quickly.

Another early morning – soon as I can get some money saved I’ll get help to put up the curtain poles. Waking up at dawn is not for me but it’s when cats are at their most active (and dusk). Spent another couple of hours in the garden.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Yeah, I hear ya with the light coming in the windows. I FINALLY caved in and let The Husband put up blinds. MOSTLY because when the moon is full here it’s like daylight. I get more done if I get up early. Oh well.
Polly Hall
My husband is putting in a new Wifi thermostat in the other room. I’m hearing a bit of swearing so I’m staying out of that room until he is done.
Connie: The Head Peanut
GOOD CALL! LOL

gloria patterson
Wide awake at 5 am…………….. laundry done and put away. Paid bills on line … my bills ….. mom’s bills
Made breakfast ,,,, sausage & biscuits……………. When cool I bag (freezer) up the sausage and then left over biscuits. When I want them during the week just pull out what I want and into the air fryer. Happy Sunday, these holiday weekends are nice but I lose track of what day it is for a little while. Just getting going here today and listening to the crazy news.
Connie: The Head Peanut
RIGHT?? I lose track of days all the time. I think that’s the #1 thing I ask Alexa. Followed by Alexa what’s the weather?? (I programmed her to say “I will forward your request to Mother Nature” if I say NO THANK YOU to her weather report). Yes, I DO crack myself up.
Tamra Phelps
We got a little snow last night but not so much that it makes life difficult. What did I do today? Watched Shrek, napped, read.
Connie: The Head Peanut
I LOVE SHREK!!!! I am so lucky that Alice was growing up with all the AMAZING movies like Shrek, Big Hero 6 (my ABSOLUTLE favorite) Finding Nemo, Tangled. Ahhhh I think it’s time to dig out Big Hero 6.
OH on the OTHER side. I started binge watching “Why Women Kill” It’s so GOOD!! It’s NOT a hack’em slash’em. It has Lucy Liu, Ginnifer Goodwin and others. It’s GOOD!!
Karen R
My day is going well. We got a dusting of snow. I’m good with that. The roads are clear to pick-up a pizza for dinner.
Connie: The Head Peanut
I’m in!! Pizza for dinner is always a good idea.
Polly Hall
A neighbor brought over lunch today for my husband and I so sweet of her. I am now making her Pumpkin bread to return with her dish tomorrow.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Polly, you are so sweet! What great neighbors.
Shelly Peterson
I stayed up ALL night watching tv. Now I am super tired.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Must have been a great show. I am watching “Why Women Kill” It’s so GOOD!! It’s NOT a hack’em slash’em. It has Lucy Liu, Ginnifer Goodwin and others. It’s GOOD!! I would have stayed up all night and watched both seasons, but The Husband wants to watch too.
gloria patterson
Have not done much today. Last evening great niece Zay (7) and her cousin CC (2) were spending the night with zay’s grandmother. So they came down to spend some time with me, played with toys and then wanted to paint. They had fun and didn’t make a big mess. After they left I didn’t bother to clean up the craft area. This morning I cleaned all the brushes and the table, etc. The table is a glass top so cleaning is really easy. Started to snow last night around 10 and temp was low so snow (2 inches or so) is kinda hard and crunchie this morning. Temp right now is 29
The rest of the day……………. I have a new book
Connie: The Head Peanut
Gloria, I’m so jealous. I want kid time. Thank heavens for glass top painting areas. Yup, we have snow too. Tomorrow rain. NOT HAPPY!! LOL I’m going upstairs and watch tv in protest.
Elizabeth
I need to cook some lamb shanks, and after that I’m playing it by ear…
Connie: The Head Peanut
I haven’t had lamb since I left the farm in Colorado. That was ….. ummm dang…. that was a long time. 48 YEARS?!?! I didn’t trust that number and had to use the calculator!
Kate Sarsfield
It is absolutely pouring down today. All day 🙁 Time to think about doing indoor chores (or do a Gloria!). Something energetic to equal out the pizza & Reece’s cups I intend to have this evening!
gloria patterson
Lets try this again……………. I accept the blame LOL LOL But what could be better then a long warm nap, then later pizza and recesse cups
Connie: The Head Peanut
I’m in!! Where are we meeting?? Can I bring the booze?! GIRLS NIGHT!! GIRLS day? Weekend?? MONTH!?!?? I’m in.
Connie: The Head Peanut
I’m all for a nap, Reece’s and pizza. I’m ALL IN!!
heather
My day is going pretty good so far today. I really got some good sleep last night and I am in a chipper mood today. Hope you have a nice Saturday.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Sounds like the perfect way to start the long weekend.
Michele Soyer
I did half of the back steps/landing yesterday before I started getting chlorine dizzy! Right after breakfast planning on finishing the job and will be glad to have that job off my plate….then a nice sit in the sun to enjoy the warmth on my bones..
gloria patterson
Where do you get all this energy??? Do you eat something special or vitamins. I get tired just reading how much work you do in a day LOL
Connie: The Head Peanut
SEE MICHELE!!! I’m not the ONLY ONE!!! You truly are the energizer bunny.
Michele Soyer
No vitamins no special diet lol….I have been this way since i was a child – could it be the work ethic my father espoused?? probably…
Ed
Had a good day. Looking forward to the long weekend.
Tamra Phelps
It’s snowing out there. Actually we only expect a few inches, I think, so not too bad. Winter wants to make it clear it is still here, I guess.
Polly Hall
Drove up to the lake house for the weekend a beautiful day with a fresh layer of snow. The sun came out a few minutes ago and it looks like we will have a sunset.
Kate Sarsfield
Blooming cats woke me at 6am – ugh! Managed to get back to sleep & woke 4 hours later. Spent another 4 hours pulling up my front garden with the cats ‘helping’. I’d love a soak in a bath or a hot shower but that’ll have to wait till I get the plumbing/central heating installed. Good day!
Connie: The Head Peanut
Kate, I don’t know how you do it. You are a rock goddess.
gloria patterson
Full of energy this morning……………. don’t know why!!! If I keep it up my apartment will be all vac/dusted!
Karen R
I am having a good day. Busy with a 9 year old visitor.
Connie: The Head Peanut
OHMYGOSH I love that age. Is your visitor a chatter box? Alice use to talk nonstop. Well, so did my kids at that age so she came by it naturally.
l p
the day is going well. up early with noises outside. all was well. now I’m trying to take advantage of the extra time. thanks
Connie: The Head Peanut
Hopefully, the noises didn’t start too early.
heather
I am waking up and trying to make a mental list of the things that I need from the store today whick never works I always forget something.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Heather, I am a LIST maker. I never remember everything. I have gotten smarter I have an ongoing list in my phone note page. I label each store. Grocery, Junk Store, Dollar Tree, I even have one for Home Depot. LOL NOW…… I know you are wondering if I actually USE this brilliant idea?!!? Ummmmm sometimes. LOLLOLOLOL
Michele Soyer
Wound up yesterday finishing the upstairs windows, so today starting on the back step moss removal – when the chlorine starts making me dizzy I will stop…a little dusting downstairs then lunch and my book…
Connie: The Head Peanut
I love pulling the moss off the rocks up here and using it for crafts. I know… I know… I NEVER throw anything away. Even moss? I think my Grandfather would be so proud of my collection of weird saves. LOL
Ed
Had a good day. Just watching some hockey at home now.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Ed, an item on my bucket list is to see a LIVE hockey game. Maybe one day.
Shelly Peterson
Today it snowed and the roads were bad. But I went to my daughters schhol and had some beauty stuff done.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Shelly, that sounds WONDERFUL. I wish our beauty school wasn’t 2 hours away. I enjoy going there when I’m in that area.
Tamra Phelps
Ugh, I had a 2 hour wait for a return pickup at the physical therapist to day, which has become the norm with the bus service I have to use. Actually, someone there told me the Lexington news had run a segment on the service and complaints about wait times!
Connie: The Head Peanut
Tamra, that’s insane. I’m so sorry. There really isn’t any excuse for that. Do you take a book? I’d go nuts.
Karen R
My day is going well. My physical therapist gave me a good report on the progress I’ve made. It can be hard, if I expect to be further along.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Karen, That’s great news. You should feel very proud of yourself.
Polly Hall
Did my own grosery shopping, I had $50 worth of reward coupons that I could not use by shopping online. My husband had to drive me, I still cannot drive with the brace on my leg but I was able to hang onto the cart and get around.
Connie: The Head Peanut
THAT is an impressive amount of coupons! GOOD job. How much longer will the brace stay on?
Polly Hall
I go back to the Ortho doctor in a few week and I will find out then.
l p
the day is going well. went to an appointment and later, shopping. didn’t quite get everything I wanted but I’ll find them elsewhere, hopefully. happy to be home with a cuppa. thanks
Connie: The Head Peanut
A cuppa after a long day is always awesome.
gloria patterson
This has been one of those days!!!! My sister-in-law’s mother passed away last Friday. She has been in a nursing home for about 3 years and there have been lots of problems. The funeral was today and sister in law and her brother were doing OK. Her mom was 88 and so many of friends had passed away or were not able to come to the funeral. So it was a small group there. The grave site (country graveyard) was 36 miles away over not great road. So got there and the grave yard (new guy) had dug the wrong spot!! After some discusion they had the service and were going to dig the correct hole after we left.
You cannot make stuff like this up!!
Connie: The Head Peanut
GLORIA!!!! I don’t EVEN know what to say!!!!! OHMYGOSH!!!!!!!!!! the WRONG spot?!?! OMG!!!
ROFLMAO my Grandma passed away in California, her burial plot was next to my Grandpa. So they flew her back there. AND LOST HER!!! What made this so absolutely hysterical is that my Grandma always told me that I would be late to my own funeral. So I think Grandma did it to make me laugh. To this day it still makes me laugh.
Then when we finally did get to have the graveside service….. we are all standing around and I started to cry. ALL OF A SUDDEN out of nowhere it started snowing to beat the band. I said out loud to G’ma ALIGHT ALREADY we’re going. Rest well.
Jessica Beard
I am from Indiana.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Hi Jessica. Indiana! My SIL loves to go to the Indy500. That’s his jam.
Kate Sarsfield
Slept till 7 with a to-do list for the day but went back to bed at 9 & slept till 4pm! Trip into town to the pharmacy then home, something to eat and back to bed.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Kate your body is telling you to relax. Recharge. sleep is good.
Elizabeth
Going to run some out-of-town errands that I didn’t finish yesterday…
Connie: The Head Peanut
I was going into town today but it’s FREEZING out there. Noooo Thank you. I’ll stay home in my nice warm house. LOL
heather
I am just waking up and listening to the news. You know it makes me so sick that you can’t even go to a freaking parade anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Connie: The Head Peanut
I can’t believe that either. I immediately called a friend in KS who is a HUGE KC fan to be sure that he hadn’t been there. His son and grandson were there, but safe and sound. So dang scary. I do NOT understand people.
Suzie B
I feel very overwhelmed this week with how much I have to do and the lack of time!
Connie: The Head Peanut
Suzie, doesn’t this week feel like it’s on fast forward? The last week in January took FOREVER and this month is over half done. What the heck?!?!
Michele Soyer
Today I will try and finish the windows – do I feel like it? No….after i get sick of windows i will go outside adn start chlorine work on the back steps and landings – they have a bit of moss….
Connie: The Head Peanut
I don’t even want to THINK about windows. Maybe in June. MAYBE? LOL
Ed
Had a good day- worked the Jets game tonight, they won!
Polly Hall
My husband and I went out to diiner with our son, had a nice time.
Kate Sarsfield
Another busy day. Up at 7 with the cats & no nap as had to organise my car insurance (that’s what I get to do every Valentine’s!). Left at 12, went to the laundry at last, grabbed some shopping, then on to the rescue centre. Down 2 staff (winter vomiting bug) so non-stop till 6. Home by 7pm & now relaxing in bed, by the fire, with the cats curled up beside me.
Michele Soyer
You had a big day – relax now and chill for the evening!
Connie: The Head Peanut
DANG! You are like Michele, just go go go. WOW.
The Husband and I had eye exams yesterday. NOW I know that this big white cloud in my vision isn’t a dog hair. ROFLMAO!! It’s cataracts. Ohhh goodie. BUT, eventually no glasses and contacts! That will be awesome.
Kate Sarsfield
Mum had cataracts in both eyes – she couldn’t believe the difference the surgery made to her vision. She discovered she had wrinkles!
Connie: The Head Peanut
OHMYGOSH you will love this story. The optometrist said last year he had a patient that GOT A MALPRACTICE LAWYER to sue the ophthalmologist who did her cataract surgery because HE GAVE HER WRINKLES during the surgery. That cracked me up!!
gloria patterson
Ran a few errands came home and the recliner was just yelling and yelling at me. 3 hour nap later LOL
I still have the cough left over from the cold from hell, and not a lot of energy Just need spring to arrive early………….
Connie: The Head Peanut
Oh Gloria! How are you feeling today? Any better??
l p
the day is going well. the sun has finally come out, burning off the fog, so it’s already warmer. going out to do some errands and then coming home to rest. thanks
Elizabeth
It’s Valentine’s Day *and* Ash Wednesday, so I’ll have to eat any chocolate as part of a meal…
Connie: The Head Peanut
Well, OF COURSE!! Chocolate and Valentines Day are a must. LOL
Shelly Peterson
Happy Valentines Day! I have nothing special going on today. Just dialysis.
heather
Happy Ash Wednesday and Valentine’s Day. Not sure what I am up to today but I will eat chocolate that’s for sure.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Same here! I did. I even stayed upstairs with The Husband ALL DAY. I didn’t even come to the craft room AT ALL!!! Are you surprised? I’m shocked! ALL DAY! GESH!! I’m a good wife.
Michele Soyer
Happy Valentines Day and Ash Wed all! Like Gloria up early at half 4 to get to mass and ashes at half six….Now off to make breakfast and start on our Valentine lunch….after that well I don’t eat chocolates so champagne. my book, old music playlist then a film.. back to work tomorrow….
gloria patterson
Sounds like a great plan to me!
Connie: The Head Peanut
Michele, I do have to have my chocolate, but I’ll take champagne any day!! I wish those little bottles weren’t so dang expensive. I lovvvvvvvvvveeee my champagne.
Ed
Had a good day today. Did some shopping in the afternoon.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Excellent.
Kari
I’m having a fun day making Valentine’s Day cookies for everyone.
Connie: The Head Peanut
That’s a great project. I didn’t do anything for Valentines Day. I didn’t even send the Granddaughter a valentine?!?!?!? What has HAPPENED to me?!?!
Polly Hall
The dermatologist’s office called with the results of my two biopsies they both are Basal Cell Carcinoma and have to be removed next week.
Kate Sarsfield
Good luck with the op. next week.
Connie: The Head Peanut
POLLY!! Sending you big hugs. Big time prayers. {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{POLLY}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}
gloria patterson
Wide awake at 5 am got up cleaned up, dressed. Worked on some suncatchers I have in my windows. Then I decided since it was pouring rain I just needed a nap………………. 2 hr later.
Little reading, little tv, little laptop time……………….
Michele Soyer
Enjoy your day Gloria
Connie: The Head Peanut
Gloria, that sounds like a GREAT way to spend the day. Will you post pictures on Insta with your creations?? I saw that Plaid Crafts has paint that look like stained glass. I’m so tempted. PLEASE TELL ME NO!!!! I DO NOT need to go down another crafting rabbit hole. I am doing my blog work and cutting vinyl for t-shirts at the same time. Look at me multi-tasking. I REALLY am trying to have a lot of items ready to go for the Christmas fair.
Tamra Phelps
Well, that winter storm never really materialized, lol. That’s fine by me. Feeling better today. Blue skies outside, too. So, nice day.
Connie: The Head Peanut
It didn’t here either. I’m so glad. We have BRILLIANT blue sky today but soooooooooooooooooooo cold.
l p
the day is going well. it’s chilly out there but the sun is out. having pancakes for dinner with friends. thanks
Connie: The Head Peanut
I love breakfast for dinner. Pancakes GOOOD!
Shelly Peterson
Today is a lazy day. My favorite kind of day.
Kate Sarsfield
Busy day today (once I got started!). Scrubbed the cat’s feeding area at last (been meaning to do it for weeks), put down an old shower curtain under their clean trays, bowls etc., then scrubbed their litter trays etc. Took a breather and got a phone call from the Govt. Warmer Homes Grant people. Am I still interested in getting help? Yes, please! Then expect a contractor to make contact to organise a technical survey of works to be carried out plus costings. Fingers crossed. Prepped meals for the rest of the week.
gloria patterson
THAT’S WONDERFUL!!! Fingers crossed with hope for you. “Prepped meals for the rest of the week” Don’t know how you do it, I never know what I want to eat today much less the rest of the week.
Kate Sarsfield
Thank you, ladies!
Tamra Phelps
Fingers crossed it works out!!
Michele Soyer
Extra prayers for you!
Elizabeth
I’m going to make a phone call, and then (try to) cuff up the house…
heather
My day is off to a nice start so far. I am still recovering from the super bowl to be honest. The Monday after the big game so needs to be a holiday!
Connie: The Head Peanut
Or move the Super Bowl to Saturday. I agree. Monday after the Super Bowl is a stay at home and recuperate day.
Michele Soyer
Happy Carnival Tuesday all! Parade of the bands already started…Finished the walls in the kitchen yesterday with enough leaisure time in the afternoon to enjoy my film…today I want to start washing the windows in 2 rooms , bake a Valentine cake for tomorrow, sit down and watch Back Street (the Susan Hayward one) with a glass of wine and as always have a good cry at the end…..
Connie: The Head Peanut
Michele, you are truly the energizer bunny. YOU are amazing. I’m going to work on some Christmas fair t-shirts today.
Tamra Phelps
Ugh, I had a bad day. Woke up in the middle of the n ight feeling sick and it has gradually gotten a little better through the day. At least I’m not seeing snow out there. The weather was calling for winter weather warnings but so far I’m seeing nothing like that.
Michele Soyer
I do hope you are feeling better this morning…
Connie: The Head Peanut
Tamra, I hope you feel better today. We are supposed to get slammed tomorrow too. Wouldn’t you know The Husband and I have eye exams at 8am. Why DO I DO that to myself??
gloria patterson
Off to the discount store this morning……… always find good deals. I got 2 of the pretties bold color print tops. They are NYGARD selling for $5.99 with the original price tag of $69.00. Found some books for great niece at $2.99 each, foam brush all sizes 45 ct for $3.99…………. and a few other things.
Had to go to the bank get some paperwork done…………….. I have been going to do it since the first of the year. ………….. DONE check it off the list
Great niece spend the night with her grandmother (she lives in the building) so they came to see me about 2. It was good to see zay and I always enjoy spending time with her grandmother. We got to talking about things we did when we were YOUNG……………….. Memories
Connie: The Head Peanut
Gloria, that sounds like an AMAZING day. I love, love, love going to antique, thrift, discount stores. AND Garage Sales too. I do NOT need anything else…… but I want it ALL. LOL
I had to go look up NYGARD and I’m so jealous. There are some super cute t’s!!
YOU KNOW I’m always jealous that you get to spend time with Zay. She’s so cute. I wish Alice lived close.
gloria patterson
I can always find so much great stuff at Gabes. I have firm rules when buying clothes/shoes when something comes in same amount has to go out. Have to admit it is always fun/love spending time with Zay. Last time she was here we worked on the laptop. Taught her how to use the mouse, and how to increase size, copy & delete. And she remember most of it yesterday.
Connie: The Head Peanut
I see pictures of Zay and I just want to squeeze her. She is so dang cute. I tell you what Alice is so good with apps on the phone and on the laptop that I (VERY MUCH to my dismay) had to ask her how to do something. I SWORE I would NEVER have to me that G’ma. Technology is just moving too fast.
I need to adapt to that one in. One out rule. I NEED too. I KNOW that I will never be 120 pounds again in my LIFE. BUT, what if?? I actually sent Alice a ton of stuff and it FIT her!! Why did I think I was ever getting ALL OF THIS in to that tshirt or overalls ever again?!?! LOL
l p
the day is going well. it’s a favourite day – baking bread and making soup to go with it. thanks
Connie: The Head Peanut
Oh that sounds delicious.
Polly Hall
The Frittata and the Dutch pigs in the blanket are in the oven. The girls will be here in half an hour for dinner and card night.
Connie: The Head Peanut
That sounds like an AMAZING day!!
Ed
Having a good day. Looking forward to a fun week!
Connie: The Head Peanut
I hope so too!
kkp
Happy Monday. My day is full of appointments and visits. So far things are OK. The weather’s cooperating.
Connie: The Head Peanut
I’m hoping the weather cooperates until at least noon tomorrow. The Husband and I have 8am eye exams tomorrow. I want breakfast after and home before the snow hits. Fingers crossed for all of us.
Elizabeth
I need to return a pair of shoes, then run some more errands…
Kate Sarsfield
Another day of catch-up sleeping, gathering kindling, phone calls, paying bills …
Connie: The Head Peanut
Ahhh Kate, aren’t we just livin’ the dream??
Kate Sarsfield
Gee thanks, Connie, now I have coleslaw coming out of my nose!
Shelly Peterson
I am not ready for it to be Monday already. I am off to dialysis soon.
Connie: The Head Peanut
It’s SNOWING HERE!! I am NOT ready for this to start again! Monday’s. UGH!
heather
Just watching the super bowl highlights at the moment. I missed some of the funny commercials.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Heather, my two favorite commercials were the Dunkin’ Donuts and the T-Moble with Jason Momoa. Those are still making me laugh.
When the clock got to 3 minutes left and they were going into overtime. OUR internet went out. NO TV. No static. NOTHING. I had to hear play by play from my sister in Texas. LOL She’s a great commentator.
heather
That is crazy! We had that happen many years ago. The power went out on Thanksgiving Day and the turkey was still in the oven what a cluster! That was one for the books!
Connie: The Head Peanut
OHHHHHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOOO!! Okay, Thanksgiving raw turkey is WAY worse than the SuperBowl tv going out. OH MY GOSH. At least you can laugh about it now.
Michele Soyer
Jouvert the opening of Carnival …. I was up to hear the first Jouvert band all the way down in the village…As for me I plan on washing the kitchen walls – do them every few months so the dust is not too bad, and I thank goodness for washable paint….After that a movie, an old one probably An Affair to Remember with a glass of wine and the cats…
Connie: The Head Peanut
Excellent day. Well, except the whole washing walls…… no thank you. Wine, old movie and cuddling cats YES please.
Suzie B
How is it Monday already? lol I have a really busy work week ahead with LOTS of Overtime – im not looking forward to it
Connie: The Head Peanut
I’m not ready for it to be Monday either. EXCEPT, the repair man is supposed to be here between noon and 5 to fix the oven. EXCEPT….. it snowed overnight. It’s STILL snowing, so unless he has 4-wheel drive no oven repair today.
Polly Hall
I made Boton Brown Bread today for tomorrows dinner. I also finished getting the first floor of our house all put back together after all the cleaning this week. So I went around and took pictures it may never look that good again.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Ohhhh we sooooooooooo could be sisters. When everything is clean here (which it is NOT) is when I go around and take pictures. LOL
Tamra Phelps
Why do I always find Sundays to be slow and a little depressing? I think it’s a throwback to the idea od heading back to school on Monday, lol.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Maybe? Or having to go to work the next days….. yea…… I’m with you. Sunday’s get us closer to the dreaded Monday. EWWWWWW
l p
the day is going well. lovely weather which is greatly appreciated. going to a friend’s celebration. there will be cake – Black Forest cake. bring it on… thanks
Connie: The Head Peanut
Oh YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM I volunteer to take all the leftovers home. LOL
gloria patterson
There will be NO football on my TV……………………. I would rather watch cartoons LoL
Lazy day did a little bit of nothing…………… even had time for a nap
Connie: The Head Peanut
My tv must have heard YOUR tv. As soon as the Superbowl went into overtime our internet went out. NO tv since. Grrrrrr
Kate Sarsfield
It was a lovely sunny day here but I fell back to sleep & didn’t wake up till 2pm! Anyway, by then it was getting too cold to even think about getting the laundry done, so I collected more fallen twigs for the fire. Both cats have lost their new collars (again). Going to ring the vet tomorrow to price getting them microchipped. Might be cheaper in the long run!
gloria patterson
You might try the harness collars……….. it would be harder for them to slip out of
Kate Sarsfield
That’s an idea! It’s the bell & reflective aspect that I need. The tabby’s so well camouflaged and I can’t see the black guy at all after dark!
Connie: The Head Peanut
Those furbabies of yours are little stinkers. Microchip or start buying collars in bulk.
Elizabeth
Will pop a chicken in the oven, then watch the Supet Bowl with my mom…
Connie: The Head Peanut
One and ONLY one good thing with our oven being broken is I don’t have to throw anything in the oven. Cooking in the Instapot all week. I really can’t wait for that repair man to show up.
Shelly Peterson
I have been busy getting food ready for the Super Bowl.
heather
My day is off to a nice start. Getting excited to see the BIG GAME today should be a good one for sure. Hope you have a nice Sunday. I am off to make dips.
Connie: The Head Peanut
It’s gonna be a great game. Does everyone in your family root for the same team?
Michele Soyer
Glorious Sunday – It is Dimarche Gras here and pretty soon the Merry Monarch will open carnival Monday and Tuesday..Gone are the days when we went to all the events – now I am happy to watch on the television…if I even do that!…yesterday the developers man of business was here with workers to begin the road that borders my property, the neighbourhood will change with that coming…a new housing development will bring action that is for sure – backhoes and all the equipment – I will definiately chceck for anyone i can give my brochure to – maybe just maybe someone will be inetrested in purchasing my property… making breakfast then today is a BBQ day….
Connie: The Head Peanut
Ohhh it’s gonna get loud at your place. Hopefully not too early. I bet this helps you sell. Fingers crossed.
Ed
Had a good day. Worked the Jets game tonight- they won!
Connie: The Head Peanut
Wooo hoooo!!! Ed, when you say you worked the game, what do you do? (YES! I am SO NOSY!!)
Tamra Phelps
It’s been a slow Saturday. I read and watched a litttle TV, that’s it.
Connie: The Head Peanut
I made tumblers, and mugs. Today only mugs then at 2:00 it’s SUPERBOWL SUNDAY!!!!! Whooot whoot.
Polly Hall
I washed all of the wood furniture in the dinningroom today, it looks so nice in there & I feel good that I got it done.
Connie: The Head Peanut
YOU my friend have a LOT of energy. Good for you. Now, it’s all clean and depending home many you have coming for Superbowl you might have to do it again on Monday? I hope not.
l p
the day is going well. celebrating Lunar New Year with generous and patient friends later on. thanks
Connie: The Head Peanut
What a great day you have planned.
Kate Sarsfield
Went back to the library & printed off another €300-worth of shopping vouchers. That’s 2022 done! Was going to the laundrette as it was a nice day but all the machines were taken so headed home, changed the bedding, collected kindling & tidieed up a bit.
Connie: The Head Peanut
WOW that’s a lot of shopping vouchers. Good for you. You had a very busy Saturday.
Shelly Peterson
i stayed up late last night so I have a late start to my day. I am going to go spend the day over at my daughters house.
gloria patterson
Our strange weather right now it is 58 ……. next week it is in the low 50’s.
Being really lazy to today. I have 3 Aero Gardens with Petunias in them, so I always have fresh flowers in bloom. Filled all of them with water and vitamins and them gave them all major haircuts! If I don’t they get all longs and stringie. After I cut them they will get fuller and more blooms.
Also reading a new book.
Kate Sarsfield
I had to Google them – hydroponics! Just like Michele 🙂
Connie: The Head Peanut
You guys are supposed to get hammered again. EWWWWW. We are expecting snow again tonight.
I LOVE having fresh flowers. THIS year, as soon as the buds are UP I’m cutting them. Deer WILL LOSE this year.
Elizabeth
Will run some errands, then go to a dinner at my dad’s old lodge with my mom…
heather
I am doing pretty good so far today just listening to a 48 Hours episode and reading emails at the moment. I will be in the kitchen today preparing for the Big Game think I got everything from the store hope so I sure spent enough.
Michele Soyer
Port of Spains air quality was very poor last night but here in the east is appears to be getting better – have to do some transplants today and I should paint outside but i have to motivation to do so – but I will sweep pull weeds then as always read and music..
gloria patterson
I wish I had a quarter of your energy ………………… Busy lady!!
Elizabeth
It’s supposed to get stormy anytime now, so I can’t figure out my plan…
Ed
Had a good day. Hooray for the weekend.
Tamra Phelps
So, the new wheelchair arrived. It just needs to be lowered and have the leg rests adjusted and it will be good to go. Such a relief! As for more everyday stuff, it got up into the 60s here today! Very odd.
Michele Soyer
So glad it got delivered! Relief is finally here…
Kate Sarsfield
Hooray! So relieved for you xxx
Connie: The Head Peanut
That’s AWESOME!!
Polly Hall
Crazy weather here in West Michigan the last 2 days,in the low 50’s and last night we had a thunder storm. The weatherman said that it was the first on record for Feb.
gloria patterson
When I left the building it was 52 ………… I just put on light weight jacket. Picked up a few things from krogers then on to giant eagle…………… running low on Baileys Irish Cream so had to restock. It is so good in a hot chia tea. When I got back the wind was blowing but temp up to 65 I had to zip my coat.
Got a couple new books may be lazy lazy all weekend
Connie: The Head Peanut
I found Peanut Butter Whiskey and ohhhmyyyyygosh it’s soooo good. I do love Baileys too.
Shannon Mitchell
I live in Blue Springs, Missouri, not really very exciting in this part of the country.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Shannon, Blue Springs sounds like a beautiful place by the name.
Kate Sarsfield
Gave up on the printer so went to the local library & printed off €100 worth of vouchers for my fave supermarket and hit the aisles! I’ve got another couple of hundred’s worth still to be printed – nice feeling!
Connie: The Head Peanut
That’s AMAZING!! Good for you. Sounds like you are feeling better too. I hope so.
Kate Sarsfield
Thanks, Connie, yes, I am feeling much better at last xxx
gloria patterson
Always great to have coupons!!!
Tamra Phelps
Oh, I love a good coupon!!
l p
the day is going well. the sun’s shining and melting some of yesterday’s snow/ice. made some scones first thing for a visit with a friend later. thanks
Connie: The Head Peanut
I saw the blue sky for 36seconds then it went away. It’s COLD! BUT, most of yesterday’s snow has melted. BUT, then…. the road is a slippery mess. Season of the mud is here.
Shelly Peterson
Happy Happy Friday! I am off to dialysis soon.
Connie: The Head Peanut
It’s gonna be a fun weekend. Who ya rootin’ for? Does the whole family agree?
Karen R
My day is going well. My new chair is very comfortable. I may sleep on it tonight.

Connie: The Head Peanut
Again, sounds like an excellent day. How is the Sahara dust??
Michele Soyer
Awful..LOL. had to break down and take benadryl..
Ed
Had a good day. Feels good to have a haircut again,
Connie: The Head Peanut
I so badly need a haircut. 2 more weeks for me.
l p
the day is going well – mostly. went out for an appointment and just as I stepped outside, the snow started – big, floppy, heavy flakes. couldn’t even see across the street. at least it stopped before I got home. lots more shoveling coming up. thanks
Connie: The Head Peanut
Maybe your snowfall was like ours……. snowed yesterday and last night. 1pm and it all melted.
Polly Hall
Did some more cleaning, one thing nice about getting this all done now I will not have any spring cleaning to do.
Connie: The Head Peanut
I can’t WAIT to open up this house and air it out. I do NOT look forward to window washing.
Shelly Peterson
Today I picked up a grocery order and got coffee.
Connie: The Head Peanut
I LOVE being able to pick up my grocery order and not have to GO INSIDE. It’s the greatest thing ever. I hope they never do away with this service.
gloria patterson
It is 62 but NOT a warm 62…………… kinda feels like a chill in the air. Lazy day have not done much of anything………. Took a frozen meal out and into the microwave……………….. LAZY
Connie: The Head Peanut
I actually did pretty good today. I made some tumblers. Messed up 2 big time. Dinner is going to be left over potato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches.
gloria patterson
these leftovers would be favorites of mine
Karen R
My day is going well. Sore from physical therapy this morning. I’m waiting for a new chair to be delivered.
Elizabeth
The rain’s stopped, but I wonder if the roads will be icy…
Connie: The Head Peanut
Ours are complete and total MUD. All the way down to main road. Yesterday I was slipping all over the place then it snowed again. So, nope. Not leaving the house.
heather
I am up getting the house going and listening to the daily news. I am also making out my grocery list for the Big Game this weekend. I need lots of avocados, chips, cheese, sour cream and the list goes on and on.
Connie: The Head Peanut
I’m jealous. I want a crowd here for Super Bowl but it will just be The Husband and I yelling at the tv.
Michele Soyer
60% chance today of thunderstorms so hopefully the dust will settle. My plans for outside painting not possible so what to do?? House clean, laundry done, cannot work outside – well I guess I will have to put the feet up and read and jam to old school R&B….
Connie: The Head Peanut
Now that is a solid plan!! Feet up, chair dance and read.
Kate Sarsfield
The sleet has turned to snow & the east wind would cut you, as we say here, so an indoor day for me. Doing this early just in case the ‘leccy’ goes.
Michele Soyer
Cuddle up with the cats!
Connie: The Head Peanut
YIKES! Stay warm.
gloria patterson
As long as you have wood you will be OK…………… fingers crossed you keep your power
Tamra Phelps
The wheelchair came today. I had to call my nephew to get it inside, lol. I haven’t tackled opening it. I’ll do that tomorrow after my physical therapy appointment (it got here late today.)
Connie: The Head Peanut
that’s AWESOME news! Yeah, for the nephew. He should have set it up for you too.
Ed
Had a good day. Did some volunteering this morning.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Excellent way to start the day.
Polly Hall
I’m slowly getting my house back together after removing everything around the windows.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Around the windows in my craftroom would make a grown person cry! I luvessssssssss me some knick knacks. In my best Mr.T voice “I pitty my kids” I’m leaving it all to them!
Polly Hall
When my husbands mother passed we had to clean out her house, it was not an easy task.
Connie: The Head Peanut
When my Mom passed having to go through her stuff was hard. I think my kids will just back in a dumpster and throw everything away. IF (but I’m NOT) was nicer I would start weeding stuff now. BUT NOOOOOO
gloria patterson
Quick trip to walmart and found more bold colors…………. NOT sure what I am going to paint but I will figure it out. Another coat on the chair and have decided I am keep the seat cover.
Connie: The Head Peanut
EXCELLENT!!! I hope you will post on Instagram.
l p
the day is going well. it’s a soup-making day here too. just right for the weather. making extras for the neighbours. thanks
Connie: The Head Peanut
You are such a great neighbor!
Kate Sarsfield
Finally managed some cheese on toast today – first meal since Sunday. Managed to go to shop for catfood then back to bed & slept. Feeling better at last, just in time for sleet & snow tomorrow but I have all I need.
gloria patterson
Relax, recharge watch some old movies……………… and lots of naps!!
Tamra Phelps
Sleet and snow gives you even more reason to stay in and sleep!
Kate Sarsfield
Now if only the cats felt the same way!
Connie: The Head Peanut
Sleep is the best thing for you. Especially, with your icky weather on top of everything else.
Elizabeth
I’ll probably make soup after some phone calls…
Connie: The Head Peanut
Soup sounds like a great idea. It’s cold and icky here. What kind? I think I am going with ‘tater soup.
Shelly Peterson
Today is just a typical day of dialysis.

I live in Southwestern Indiana. Our home is the country. We have 16 acres of land. We see deer, wild turkeys and owls. I’ll pick the country life over city life anyday.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Karen, ME TOO!!! We have 11 acres of peace and quiet. It’s wonderful. I love all my wild animals too.
Karen R
My day is going well. A physical thrapy visit is over and I feel energized.
Connie: The Head Peanut
That’s EXCELLENT!

Connie: The Head Peanut
Tacos! Tacos are the BESTEST! Bring on the SPRING!! I am SO ready!
Michele Soyer
More inside painting today then some paperwork that has piled up sitting on the desk.. Not cooking today so sandwiches it is……
Connie: The Head Peanut
Michele, you are so energetic!! Today I’m hoping to hit the post office and maybe a movie?? I want to see Argyle. It looks funny.
Ed
Had a good day. Hanging out at home this evening.
Connie: The Head Peanut
I’m always so content to stay home and chillax. LOL
Tamra Phelps
Not much happening. I got a new cookbook, lol. Irish pub cooking. It does look like some really good food. I love that sort of food, the kind you find in pubs or good roadside diners, etc., real food.
Connie: The Head Peanut
That sounds very interesting. Have fun!
l p
the day is going well. finished my Tuesday errands a little later than usual but they are done. for some reason, I’m craving chocolate. must see what I have around here. thanks
Connie: The Head Peanut
I am ALWAYS craving chocolate. AND of course PEANUT BUTTER!
Elizabeth
The library was closed due to a fire alarm, so I’ll try again tomorrow. Now I’m just waiting for a package delivery.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Hopefully, the library is open today? I really hope there is no damage anywhere.
Polly Hall
I had a dermatologist appointment today, she froze 3 precancerous spots on my face and took 2 biopsies one my back the other on my chest.
Connie: The Head Peanut
I hope they are all just spots to be spots. Sending you positive vibes.
gloria patterson
My niece came in to the building to do haircuts/styles. She comes in for 3 hrs once a month and charges $20 for haircuts. She usually gets 4 or 5 cuts and I get a chance to catch up with all the missed gossip with her. Later ran to the bank and when I got home…………. decided to paint a wooden chair. I have painted it many times. Decided on a bold green (had 1 bottle) ordered another one from amazon due in thursday. I just wanted a BOLD color. Still needs a couple of coats and have not decided on the seat cushion. May go to walmart tomorrow and see if I see any material I like
Connie: The Head Peanut
That sounds fabulous! I love a bold pop of color.
gloria patterson
BOLD pops of colors………………. the green looks so good. Was at walmart and found 2 more BOLD colors…………. not sure what I am going to paint…
COBALT HUE COBAT
CANYON SUNSET
Connie: The Head Peanut
NOW that is a great color combination. LOVE THEM!!
Shelly Peterson
I slept in a bit then watched some tv. Today is a lazy day.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Lazy days are great.
heather
I am up early just warming up the house and reading emails oh and drinking my hot tea. You know they really need to do something about spam emails the ones I am seeing are offensive and that’s only the subject lines.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Does it seem like the more you delete the more you get? It’s so frustrating. I’ve tried the whole unsubscribe thing and that seems to trigger a zillion more. Grrrrrr
Kate Sarsfield
Still in bed & felling yucky. Can’t face food but know I should eat something. Keeping water down though.
gloria patterson
Kate I promise I didn’t send you my Hell Cold! Feel better soon …………. that stuff outside is waiting on you to beat it LOL
Tamra Phelps
Stay in bed and rest, Kate. Stay hydrated, as they say. Feel better soon.
Michele Soyer
Take care of yourself Kate – fluids and rest!
Connie: The Head Peanut
KATE!!! Feel better. Stay in bed, nice and warm and sleep. Maybe chicken noodle soup? Or at least the broth?
Michele Soyer
Glad I made it out early yesterday and did all my errands because today until Wed night the air quality is going to be poor – the Sahara dust really bad. So inside work today – decided to touch up the paint on my cabinets to give them a renewed shine – I have quite a bit of ouside touch ups on the cistern and the sides of the ponds to keep them pristine white but daughter says stay inside please – so bakng later on – a Victoria Sponge and some banana bread….
Connie: The Head Peanut
I agree with your daughter. Stay inside. I hope that Sahara dust quiets down soon. Michele how often does this happen?
Ed
Had a good day. Played some board games with my family this evening.
Connie: The Head Peanut
OHMYGGGGGGEEEEEEEE our family use to play Aggravation together. We would get SO loud that eventually The Husband would take the board away. LOL
Karen R
My day is going well. I downed my required Boost for the day. I hope it pays off, soon. I’m sick of this Mickey button, a/k/a feeding tube.
Connie: The Head Peanut
{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{KAREN!}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} Boost, Boost, Boost!
Polly Hall
Came home from the lake house, washed a wall and took the rest of the day off.
Connie: The Head Peanut
HOW about ONE log a day …….. I could probably do that. But a whole wall? ALL the walls. OH MY GOSH
gloria patterson
Feeling better but still have the cough! Made a trip to walmart to restock. Ever since COVID I have made sure to have backup stock available on certain items. Thanks to this hell cold I have not shopped. Well I had to RESTOCK major today. All done and put away!
Connie: The Head Peanut
The Zicam nasal things work wonders for me. They are something that I ALWAYS have on hand. They truly do shorten my colds.
l p
the day is going well. it’s bread-baking day so that’s always a good one. making extras to share. thanks
Elizabeth
Just cuffing things up during the storms…at least the power’s back!
Shelly Peterson
I woke up not feeling well. But I have dialysis today.
Kate Sarsfield
Got a bit of an iffy tummy 🙁 so staying in bed with a hottle bottle and doing v. little today.

Big birthday day here in our home for a loved one so I am going to be super super busy. I have lots of running around to do still can’t decide what to have for dinner?
Connie: The Head Peanut
Happy Birthday to the loved one. Have a MOST excellent day.
Ed
Had a good day. Spent part of the afternoon discussing our Cancun trip in April.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Color me JEALOUS!! We went to Cancun for our honeymoon 40 years ago. I would LOVE to go back. It’s amazing there.
Shelly Peterson
I was hoping to sleep in but that didn;t happen. I went to lunch with my daughter.
Connie: The Head Peanut
I love the weekly mother daughter lunches. I’m again JEALOUS!!
Shelly Peterson
I am very lucky I get to spend so much time with my daughter and grandkids.
Connie: The Head Peanut
I’m so jealous. I would love to hang out with mine. California is just too expensive of a state to retire. Now if I could just convince them to live in Idaho I’d be soooo very happy.
Tamra Phelps
I slept half this day away. Seriously. It was 2 before I got out of bed. I just kept going back to sleep, lol.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Your body must have needed the extra sleep. Are you feeling better?
l p
the day is going well. the forecast wintry weather has returned. mercifully, the snow stayed away until I got home. time for a rest and a cuppa. thanks
Connie: The Head Peanut
Same here. Wintery mix headed our way. Yesterday we had rain. It’s melted almost all the snow in Sandpoint. That’s INSANE February in IDAHO and very little snow left?? Mother Nature is in a MOOD!
Penny Lebaron
Rome, GA here
Connie: The Head Peanut
Ohhhhh Georgia!! Another state that is on my bucket list. I want to see homes like Scarlett O’hara. Yup, that’s what I think of when I think of Georgia. So now, Penny, YOU will forever live in Scarlet’s house.
Penny Lebaron
Today is a cold and rainy day, but at least the groundhog told us that we will get an early spring lol
Connie: The Head Peanut
I love that little groundhog! BRING on the SPRING!!
gloria patterson
Cannot say I really did any thing today……………………….. I did little things, replaced some batteries, cleaned off a shelve, looked at my dirty windows………………….. They are still there by the way
Just a lazy day
Connie: The Head Peanut
There are so many windows in this house I cringe at the thought of cleaning them. Can’t I just be rich and hire someone??
Kim Pincombe-Cole
And I’m 30yr resident of Indy – which makes me a Hoosier? But my home will always be in Michigan lakeside!
Connie: The Head Peanut
WOW!! Indiana very cool. It’s funny I was born in raised in Colorado. I still am a through and through Bronco’s girl.
Kim Pincombe-Cole
I’m super curious on the mouth tape. And hope the CPAP machine helps with the snoring!
Connie: The Head Peanut
I’m impressed with the mouth tape. It does keep me from snoring. It truly helps the CPAP machine help me breathe. It’s weird, if I don’t have my mouth tape on and use the CPAP, open my mouth and the machine makes A HORRIBLE noise. So, mouth tape goood.
Kate Sarsfield
Sunday evening & I’ve done nothing but nap & look after the cats. It’s blowing up to another storm and raining but not cold, thank goodness.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Now if only those storms would actually help with the yard work!
Polly Hall
My husband & I have been spending the weekend at the lake house, a much needed break for me from the washing of the walls, will start in on that again tomorrow.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Nooo noooo stay at the lake. Make the kids clean the walls. How often do the walls need washing? I’m thinking my dream log cabin is no longer a dream. Too much work.
Polly Hall
Connie your to funny, when I was younger I washed them every 3 years now that I’m really old it’s more like 5 to 6 years. I still love the log home.
Connie: The Head Peanut
It’s so funny, The Husband and I started re-watching Longmire last night. He came out of his LOG home and I told The Husband about you and washing walls. He was as surprised as I was. I just never thought about washing them before. They are BEAUTIFUL though.
Okay, I have another question about a log home. Pictures? I go WAY, WAY, WAY over-board with pictures on the walls. Can you add pictures? Do nails split the logs?
Polly Hall
Nails do not hurt the logs it would be like putting a nail into a tree. I would love to send you some pictures of our place but do not know how. I loved that show Longmire was so sad when it ended.
Connie: The Head Peanut
OHMGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEEEE Polly, yes please!!
Co****@pe******************.com
I am so excited to see your home!
Elizabeth
Had fun at a chef’s cookbook sale yesterday, but today the power’s out…
Connie: The Head Peanut
Oh nooooo. Hopefully your power is back on.
heather
Happy Sunday hope you have a blessed day. I am wrapping birthday presents today and cleaning the house. Sure feels chilly out there we are expecting a storm but it hasn’t arrived yet must be stuck in traffic. lol
Connie: The Head Peanut
LOL Heather that’s funny. Mother Nature will have road (cloud, storm?) rage when she arrives.
Michele Soyer
Sky is looking better but dust is still at a moderate level another inside day – no matter it is Sunday so after breakfast working on my shopping lists for tomrrow, Going all about to pharmacy, dry goods , post box and finally the grocery..If I set out at 7am should be back by 10am…
Connie: The Head Peanut
How is the sky and the dust levels today? Hopefully better.
Suzie B
I have a 12 hour work day ahead – and its day 6 of work. Im exhausted before ive started
Connie: The Head Peanut
Oh Suzie, more coffee. Hopefully the day will go fast and drama free.
Ed
Had a long day- worked back to back Monster Truck shows.
Tamra Phelps
One of the smoke detectors did a quick beep yesterday, so I knew one of them was about to die, and probably go nuts at about 3 a.m., lol. So, I got my oldest nephew to come by today and change their batteries. It’s impossible for me to even get to them to turn them off let alone change the batteries. Someone needs to design them in a way that makes them reachable for disabled people.
Connie: The Head Peanut
That would be a good invention wouldn’t it. We have such high ceilings it’s a nightmare to turn off. In the old house I could wave a magazine. NOT NOW! We have to bring in the 12′ ladder to change the batteries here. Thankfully that’s The Husbands job.
You have a great family. What a wonderful Nephew.
Karen R
My day has gone well. Hubby picked up pizza for dinner. I tried using a CPAP machine years ago. I gave up. It was uncomfortable and the noise it made kept me awake. Good luck to you.
Connie: The Head Peanut
The Hubby did great. I love pizza night. The newer ones are quiet. The Husband says he doesn’t hear it, well, until it shifts because I turned over. LOL I’m still trying to get use to it. I’m on day 7. So far… so so.
Shelly Peterson
I went to Costco this morning. Late I am going out for my sons 21st birthday.
l p
the day is going well. up early to go out for a walk in the lovely weather. it’s forecast to be cold with snow later this evening. we need the moisture…. thanks
gloria patterson
Connie ……….. SORRY PINTEREST still not working 🙁
Still have the cough but I have a little more energy today. Have my air purifier on high, spraying lysol every where. I want to get rid of the germs BUT just don’t want to open my windows 🙂 🙁
We are in the 50’s for at least the next week or so.
A little TV, reading, laptop……………………. I even cooked breakfast this morning!
Connie: The Head Peanut
Grrrrr FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. It’s HAUNTED! I’m tellin’ you the site is haunted. Thank you, Gloria, off to try and fix. Feel better!!
Connie: The Head Peanut
Okay, I deleted the code and reentered it. PLEASE tell me it’s working now?? I even saged the computer. (I swear my Mom is haunting it!)
gloria patterson
IT’S W O R K I N G ………………………………………… lol
Connie: The Head Peanut
BEST NEWS I’ve heard all morning!! Thank you!
Elizabeth
Running errands before the next big storm, same ol’ song and dance…
Connie: The Head Peanut
I really want Spring to be here. I’ve over the NEXT big storm. UGH!!
heather
My day is going pretty good so far. Sure had some yucky dreams last night and I don’t know why. I was watching 1883 before I went to bed and that is a western. By the way, I have already seen 1883 and am watching it again because it is sooooooo good!
Connie: The Head Peanut
I made the mistake of watching an episode of Evil Lives Here. That makes some interesting dreams too. I can’t remember if I saw 1883. I will go put it on my list.
Michele Soyer
Sahara dust still at high levels – oh well guess I have to just keep my ass in the house and read, cook and watch all Creatures Great & Small with my fur babies…
Connie: The Head Peanut
Sahara Dust still going strong huh?? Stay safe. Stay inside.
heather
1883 is the prequel to Yellowstone and it is great! It is worth buying I just might do that so I can watch it again down the road. Heck I would love to also own all the Yellowstone seasons and aslo 1932. I am a Huge Yellowstone fan.
Connie: The Head Peanut
SAME here!!! HUGE Yellowstone fan. I absolutely love Rip and Beth. I think I missed a season though. I need to double check. Have you ever watched Longmire? OMGEEEEEEEEEE we loved that series so much. I think it might be time to rewatch that one. SO GOOOOOOD!!
Rosie
Day is going good. Just getting started having my coffee. Hoping for a quiet day.
Connie: The Head Peanut
My day started out nice and quiet. Then my new shelving arrived, and it played on EVERY. SINGLE. NERVE. I had. The directions might as well have been in hieroglyphics for as much sense as they made.
Tamra Phelps
So, a strange guy knocks on my door and when I open it, he starts to just walk in…I was like, can I help you?? He said ‘Tina?’ Nope. Tamra. He was looking for a different apartment, lol. Anyway, I hope he found Tina, whoever she is…
Connie: The Head Peanut
TAMRA!! That’s scary as HELL!! No more opening the door. NOPE. Yell from behind the locked door. I love watching crime show BUT NOT WITH MY FRIENDS as the STAR!!! Holy CRAP!!
gloria patterson
This cold from hell is still hanging on. The coughing is kicking my butt. Got up a 6 felt good, showered cleaned up, did a little of this and that……………… about 9 am I was wiped out. Slept for almost 3 hrs!!
Our weather is to be in the 50’s next couple of weeks and they are saying might do some road patching…………. NOT THAT WE NEED THAT BIG HOLE FILLED IN THAT WE CANNOT NOT GET AROUND. Holes ever where and some you have no choice but to hit
Connie: The Head Peanut
Ohhhhh you have a car eating hole in the ground huh?? Hopefully they fix it soon.
Anonymous
today (Groundhog Day) is going well. woke up to a very thick fog – new weather system coming in. it’s a hopeful day – most of the predictors are indicating early Spring. thanks
Elizabeth
Trying to figure out gifts for a birthday dinner tomorrow…
Shelly Peterson
I am off to dialysis soon. Happy Friday.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Shelly, how long does dialysis take? Are you there for hours? I’m so nosy. Is it once a week or more often?? Big HUGS!!
Maureen
It is Friday and hopefully a good day.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Aren’t Fridays always good? I mean, Saturday is BEST but …….. I don’t know what I’m talking about. I’m retired and each day looks like the last so I HOPE your Friday is EXCELLENT1!
heather
I am just getting going this morning feeling a little yucky but I am hoping it will pass. I have done a lot of running around the past couple of days and I think I need a break. Happy Friday hope you have a good one.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Heather I hope it’s just a quick yucky. I hope it’s already passed and your feeling EXCELLENT now.
Michele Soyer
Since yesterday the island has been under an orange alert for Sahara dust – it is awful the normally blue sky is grey and people with allergies, heart and lung problems are being told to stay inside or wear a amsk while out…As for us other than itchy eyes we are obeying the rules ( which is hard for me) when it will lift is anyones guess…Going to bake some sweet rolls , listen to music and dance the day away!
Connie: The Head Peanut
Oh my gosh Michele! That’s terrible. YOU will go nuts not being able to go outside. Stay safe my friend.
Michele Soyer

I’m from New Jersey originally but moved here to North Carolina 17 years ago.
Connie: The Head Peanut
I’ve always thought North Carolina would be a beautiful place to live.
Kate Sarsfield
I was born in Bebbington Nursing Home , outside of Liverpool, England. We then moved to Corris, in Wales, Mum’s home village. When I was about 5 we moved to Ireland, first Dublin, then Birr, in Co. Offaly, back to Dublin, then Co. Wicklow, then Co. Wexford and am now ensconsed in Co. Mayo.
Not doing anything much today other than letting cats in/out, feed, etc.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Kate, I’m so intrigued by your life. Ireland is the TOP of my bucket list. ONE of these years. LOL Okay, I gotta know…. are nursing homes the same in England as the US? Cause a nursing home is where our elderly people live.
Kate Sarsfield
Most elderly Irish people remain in their own homes. Don’t forget that traditionally, Irish families were large, so there’s always someone able to help out. These days, there’s a system wherebye you can sell your house to the State in exchange for a place in a Nursing Home. But in general, it’s the families that help out (like you & Helen). There was a death 2 doors down the road recently. He lived with a son & family and was the one who identified the lady who lived here before me. Didn’t I tell you? The house was left to 2 nieces, both in England, one, Eileen, moved over here, but kept in touch by a weekly phone call to her sister. When she hadn’t made contact for 2 weeks, the sister rang the Gardai (police) who kicked in the front door & found her dead. Anyway, the old man identified her as being Eileen, owner of the house. Anyway, he died, aged 93, at home with the family. In England, most elderly people end up in nursing homes.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Oh my gosh. Yes, now I do kind of remember this. I’ve decided I will live with my son when I’m too old to live alone. Yup, PAY BACK TIME BUCKO!! LOLOLOLOL
Michele Soyer
Thank you for sharing your life – so interesting love it!
Connie: The Head Peanut
Both you and Michele have such interesting lives. I love that you both share with us.
Sherry
I had a really good day because one of my sisters came over for lunch.
Connie: The Head Peanut
OHHHHHH that sounds amazing. My sister lives in Texas, so no lunch for us. Lot’s of texting, just no lunch.
Sherry
I’m from a small town in Kentucky.
Connie: The Head Peanut

Connie: The Head Peanut
I hope your day is AWESOME!!
Tamra Phelps
My brother uses a CPAP. He says it takes getting used to but it really does improve how you feel when you wake up rested! So, I guess, give it a shot. You get used to it.
Connie: The Head Peanut
I’m trying. The new machines are at least quiet. The Husband doesn’t hear it at all. Until I accidently move the nose piece. LOL
Kk
outside Seattle, WA.
Connie: The Head Peanut
We are practically neighbors!

the day is going well. lots of appointments today but managed to get them all in, dispite delays (not on my part). good to be home and have a cuppa.
thanks
Connie: The Head Peanut
Excellent. I love it when I get all my errands and work done early.
Polly Hall
I got a few more walls washed & a lot more to go, that is one of my least favorite jobs, I’m so tired.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Polly, do you have to use a special soap on log walls? Like Murphy’s? Is it all done by hand? Or can you use a mop?
Polly Hall
Murphy’s soap by hand with 3 different size brushes so I can get back inbetween the logs, the ruffness of the logs would just shredded a mop to pieces. Not a job I do every year but not as often as I should either.
Connie: The Head Peanut
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH my gosh! That is a lot of work. WOW!!
Shelly Peterson
Today I dont have much going on. Just being lazy.
Connie: The Head Peanut
That’s excellent. A nice quiet day.
Shelly Peterson
I like in Spokane, Washington.

Just got in the door from doing some running around and I am taking a break. Boy, second day in a row that I got behind a complete idiot on the road. I mean I don’t speed but 20 mph in a 55 mph is an A-hole!
Connie: The Head Peanut
OHMYGOSH that brings out my road rage something awful. I was behind someone last week that turned on their TURN SIGNAL to go around a CURVE!??!?!?! What?!?!?!? Are you HIGH??? calm…. be calm…. breathe in… breathe out…. Okay, I’m all better. I hope you are too.
heather
Your reply had me laughing out loud here. Turn signal to go around a curve!!!! I have to drive on a lot of rural roads and either they are going 20 mph or they are going 100 mph down the middle of the road. I kiss the ground when I make it home alive every single time!

People are NUTS!!! (I do still identify as their queen BUT THEY ARE NUTS!!!)

Morgantown WV here…………. and dr wants me on CPAP…………. but I keep say no because of that big mask. Scheduled to do a home study in March.
Connie: The Head Peanut
West Virginia SWEET!!! The CPAP isn’t as bad as I thought. it’s smaller than I thought it would be. It only fits over my nose. The home sleep study was a PIA. I had a heck of a time with all the straps and stuff. ACKKK

This site is HAUNTED!!! I swear! Let me go look around see what the problem is. Hopefully I don’t make the entire blog disappear again like last year.
