Excerpt from “A Parent’s Playbook”
Enrichment Activities An Excerpt from A Parent’s Playbook “It’s what we’re excited about that educates us.” ~Lives on the Boundary.Rose, M. (1995) A mother raven flew over a swan swimming in a lake, and thought him unspeakably beautiful. Believing that his fine white color came from washing in the water in which he swam, the raven left her nest and took her chicks to live near the lake. But no matter how often she washed her baby birds’ feathers in the water, their black color never changed. Instead the birds all nearly starved because the food they ate did not exist near the lake. Once the mother raven realized the error of her ways, the family of birds returned to their native home and flourished because they were able to nourish themselves as nature intended. When we as parents attempt to transform our child into a different kind of child, we deny their spirits nourishment. While we may have to live with one-size-fits-all during the school day, we have an opportunity to feed their spirits with extracurricular activities, and celebrate who they were born to be. As parents, we want to give our kids the chance to discover inner strengths that…

Tylenol Smiling It Forward!
My regular followers know that Alice has been sick for the last almost two weeks. It’s been a REALLY LONG TWO weeks!! It’s hard to see your kids and grandkids in pain, sick or hurt!! I have a sign in my house that says “If MaMa ain’t Happy, ain’t nobody HAPPY!” After these last two weeks, I disagree… if BABY ain’t happy sounds much closer to the truth. Alice is usually a bright, happy and full of energy 2 year old. The last two weeks Alice only wanted to be held and cuddled. She was miserable. A trip to the urgent care and the doctor recommend Tylenol. Thank heavens for Tylenol!! Thank heavens for She Speaks and The Tylenol Smiling it Forward kit!! We didn’t even need to stop at the drug store first!! I had bottle at home!! I am thrilled to be part of the SMILING IT FORWARD™ campaign. Tylenol really brought back our SMILES!!!!!!!! Alice feels better! SO much so that she ‘self décorated’ today!! Ohhhh evil look!! We even went on a walk…….. I’m starting to question my daughters “toddler training methods”. I hope you will share your pictures of what makes you smile on the SMILING IT FORWARD site.…

All Day Energy Greens Review
As DH will attest, I am an anti-veggie person. Sorry veggie lovers…. just not a favorite food. I could NEVER ever be a vegetarian. I’m a full-fledged meat eater! So, getting my daily recommended fruits and vegetables is a challenge!! I was offered the chance to review “All Day Energy Greens” and I jumped. My first drink I didn’t use cold water. That was a mistake. I wasn’t a fan! The second drink I used ice-cold water. Better. It tastes like a wheatgrass shot. I can handle a shot of wheatgrass, 8 ounces… well it was hard. Then I mixed it with some peach tea, ice-cold water, and ice. NOW we’re talking!! MUCH better!! Easy to guzzle down!! I’m still not a huge fan of the taste. But!!! I do love the benefits!! The mental focus is a huge plus for me. I swear the older I get the more frazzled my mind feels. Writing Peanut Butter and Whine I need focus!! After drinking All Day Energy Greens I am more alert, I am more wide awake. YEEEHAAA!! Unlike coffee or other stimulants that make you feel jittery, ALL DAY ENERGY GREENS helps reverse the root cause for your fatigue: Acid overload.…

Pajanimals Under The Lights Projector By TOMY.
CUTENESS overload!! AND I don’t just mean Alice. How cute is this Pajanimals Under The Lights Projector by Tomy. This is super cute with bright lime green dog, Apollo, with his purple accents. The bed is a bright blue with cosmic cut outs for the light show. An added cute touch is the top of the bed looks like there is a pillow, sheet and bedspread. A button on the end of the bed will start the starry night cosmic light show. On the underside of the bed is a 3 mode switch you can have just the projector or projector and music “LaLa Lullaby” and a light show. I absolutely love having the different modes. You can set it and forget it with music along with the light show that will turn off after 12 minutes. OR simply turn on just the light show. It’s a perfect size, it will easily fit on a small night stand. The light show changes colors and illuminates a large portion of the ceiling. The only thing I would change is the volume of the lullaby music. It’s loud. 2 yr old Alice doesn’t seem to mind and can fall asleep with it,…
