$50 Your Way Giveaway August 2026
I am here with another $50 Your Way Giveaway. July was another busy month. The Husband had many, many, many doctor appointments. I think by now I’m basically a doctor. So, ya know, I’m available for cheap office visits and procedures. (Insert manacle and evil laugh here)
My outdoor garden is dead. I do not mean dying, I mean withered and dead and in dire need of being raked up. Indoor garden still thriving, thankfully.
Sir Walter hit 90 pounds on his 6-month birthday. YIKES! HE’s TALLER than The Husband when he is sitting on the floor.

I still haven’t made it back into my craft room, and my body is revolting. Between the twitch in my neck and the sudden numbness in my right eye, I think it’s safe to say I’m officially experiencing crafting withdrawals!
Seriously, this full-time caregiver thing is no joke. I am exhausted. (Look at that!!! I DID get my Whine in!!)
Now for the real reason you are here.
Yes, I do copy and paste from here on in. What can I say, I’m basically lazy.
Giveaway Time
The Rules: A little of the blah blah blah stuff: This giveaway is open worldwide for PayPal, Venmo, and Amazon. I’m willing to try any GC that you think would work worldwide. This giveaway is $50 US currency.
This giveaway is hosted by yours truly. No co-hosts. No mystery elves. Just me.
Furthermore, I will NEVER ask for anything weird. No fees, no passwords, no interpretive dance ALTHOUGH!! I wouldn’t mind see that. I only need to know where to send your prize. That’s it.
When you win, the email will come from Connie @ peanutbutterandwhine com. I’ve learned the hard way that subject lines like “Congratulations!” vanish straight into spam jail, so expect something more like:
“HEY, it’s Connie” or “Guess WHAT?”
Totally legit. Mildly dramatic.
I’d love it if you came back often, hung out a bit, and clicked around. In fact, looking at more than one page really helps me keep this little corner of the internet alive. Similarly, extra ad clicks are always appreciated and quietly celebrated.
By clicking on ad’s and purchasing through my blog does NOT cost you extra money. Pinky promise. It just helps keep this giveaway rolling month after month like a happy little cash parade.
I’m An Amazon Affiliate NOW!!
I’m ALSO A Walmart Affiliate NOW TOO!!
In addition to the giveaway, I’m also an Amazon affiliate. Therefore, any purchases you make starting on my blog kick a few shekels my way. AND, doesn’t cost you anything. (I really SHOULD whine right here!)
There are tons of ways to enter the $50 Your Way Giveaway.
Comments? I LOVE comments.
Sharing? Yes please.
Hint hint. Nudge nudge.
Making purchases through my page. Bigger NUDGE NUDGE
Sharing also earns you extra entries, which means better odds and bragging rights?
Every once in a while I’ll sneak in a new entry option, so check back occasionally. These surprise entries usually pop up as a comment request on a specific post.
GOOD LUCK! On to the Giveaway!!! Good Luck Little Peanuts!!
And don’t tell anyone else, but I’m secretly hoping YOU win.

Shelly Peterson
Today was a lazy day. I slept in then ran to get a prescription. It’s really smokey outside, so I am glad I stayed in.
Tamra Phelps
Kate, a blizzard is a very thick sort of milkshake at Dairy Queen–so thick they turn it upside down to prove it won’t run out of the cup, lol. It comes in dozens of flavors. I had a Reese’s Cup blizzard with a blast of caramel, too.
KATE SARSFIELD
Dear God, it sounds bloody lovely!
Michele Soyer
Just came back in now at 7..sitting out on the patio doing emails and arranging schedule for this coming week…3 dinners organized ( friends will have to make the reser) Sunday cinema to see The Odyssey ( cannot wait) a day at the zoo and one day in the old neighborhood…waiting to see when my grandson his partner and my daughter-in-law are coming probably Saturday…
Meanwhile every morning on the beach – no matter what the weather- except thunder etc….
Also organized the uber to the airport!
Now to sit (again) to finish my book…Hope everyone had as pleasant a Saturday as I did!

heather
We are just now getting back in our home after being evacuated last Thursday due to another human caused forest fire in our area. We are still on a level one evacuation notice to be ready so we can’t even unpack yet. Our poor animals are so stressed out and we have had no sleep in days. The good news is that so far no homes have been lost but the wind is really kicking up out there right now.
Shelly Peterson
Happy Friday. We celebrated my grandsons birthday today.
Tamra Phelps
Michele, your day’s plans sound better than mine, lol. It’sw too hot and humid to leave the house here. All I did was watch TV, red aned eat a DQ blizzard, ha!
Tamra Phelps
Oops, that was supposed to say ‘read and.’
KATE SARSFIELD
What’s the blizzard thing?
Terri Quick
I had a tough night sleeping with battling yet another migraine so I felt about out of it today 😔
KATE SARSFIELD
Managed to get some gardening done today, thanks to a break in the weather. Back to rain tomorrow 🙁
Michele Soyer
Stormy day today – dark and thundery. Between cat sitting duties, checking on baby girl every 2 hours hand feeding and medicine I will curl up and read all day…plenty of leftovers and a nice white merlot chilling! Come on Kate and Tamra join me!
KATE SARSFIELD
Sounds tempting apart from the weather!
Shelly Peterson

Michele Soyer
Lovely day out so after a quick vacuum I will hit the road for a turn around the neighborhood…Last evening the HOA board made a decision to get someone new to handle the lawn and drainage…all four officers are sharing the watering duty until a new person can be found – apparenly they are taking bids…thank goodness they are handling the sprinklers!
heather
This heat wave is really taking a toll on me. I am so ready for the fall season to get here.
KATE SARSFIELD
Got to get moving today but so little energy it’s ridiculous. Think it’s a downer with all this rain.
Shelly Peterson

heather
I am so very sorry for your loss.
Shelly Peterson
My brother and his wife.had to evacuate again but found out today their house is still there. I finally got a new a/c, so that’s very helpful.
Tamra Phelps
Kind of a bad day. Started an antibiotic that always makes me sick to my stomach. So it was 50-50 all evening whether I would toss my cookies, lol.
Terri Quick
I bought my dogs a couple of toys & they destroyed them within minutes lol

the day is going well. bread-baking day, yay! I’ve warned friends who will be dropping by for tea later not to wear dark clothing – not just to avoid the mosquitos but that the place is rather unkempt with lots of flour floating around. enjoy your day. thanks
KATE SARSFIELD
Settled in bed with the laptop to watch The Commitments, a film made in a poor neighbourhood of Dublin. The GREATEST music ever – Irish soul! Glen Hansard. one of the musicians/actors died in a motorbike accident a couple of days ago. Many memories. He was an Academy Award winner for one of his songs … much missed by all of Ireland RIP. Down-to-earth nice guy.
Tamra Phelps
I saw that he had died, and it reminded me of that movie. I loved that movie. Great movie, great music.
Michele Soyer
Love that movie!!!!
heather
My word of the day is soap! I just completed an Amazon order and man… do we go through a lot of soap. I purchased laundry soap, bar soap, liquid hand soap, body wash soap, facial cleanser, shampoo and dish soap. We always seem to run out at the same time and it costs a small fortune $$$$$$$$$. I am soaped out for the day!
Michele Soyer
Last couple of days been busy running around with galpals…Mostly shopping for this and that but went to a lovely new cafe that opened with a bakery – had an enjoyable coffee and croissant – we only children can just spend a day in our own company..LOL
Today I have to do laundry, vacuum, dust and cook! Then a well deserved single malt Kate with my book…
KATE SARSFIELD
Jealous as Hell, Michele!
KATE SARSFIELD
5.28 in the morning – thank you cats and my arthitic thumb. As it’s cheap rate electricity, I’ve made a kind of noodle/veggie-type ‘yoke’ & shoved it in the oven. Now, there’s a word for you americans – YOKE – it simply means a kind of thing, you know, a kind of whatever you have left in the freezer, add some bottled sauce & hope for the best! Actually, YOKE, means so much more than than in Irish parlance – it usually means a thing, a tyoe of thing … oh, for Christ’s sake, just Google it!
KATE SARSFIELD
AGH! EDIT: YOKE, means so much more than than – should be YOKE, means so much more than THAT!”
Shelly Peterson
Well I am happy to say my brothers home survived the fire. But so many others homes did not including my lanlords home. It is so sad, so many families have lost so much.
Ed
Had a great day today. Second day of our summer roadtrip and we spent the afternoon in The Star Trek Capital of Canada- Vulcan. Alberta
KATE SARSFIELD
Never heard of this place – Google hear I come!
Terri Quick
I had to go out & do some errands but the heat gave me a migraine
KATE SARSFIELD
Rain, rain & yet more rain. Ah well, I suppose the farmers need it. Going to phone my niece to wish her Happy Birthday.
heather
I just had a spooky drive on the way home from the store. I had a man behind me who honked at me for no reason and then followed me for seven miles. He made two turns on to the two different roads that I turned down. I ended up pulling into a different driveway until he was gone. I’m still a little shaken up over it. I really want to get dash cameras for the front and rear windows in my car. I am home now and locked and loaded!!!!!!!!!!!! I am always mindful of the vehicles behind me and I usually wear a ball cap to cover my hair. I HATE FREAKS!!!!!!! Be careful out there ladies and always watch your six.
KATE SARSFIELD
Bloody Hell, Heather, it would never occur to me to cover my hair/try to look UN-ME when driving. I don’t know what the crime level’s like where you are but if you have to change your whole persona? Something’s dreadfully wrong.
KATE SARSFIELD
When you mean ‘lock & loaded’ does that mean you actually have a gun? Jesus Christ, I’ve been scared shitless in my life before but we don’t have guns over here. If ever I was that scared I’d just call An Gardaí (the Police), which I have & have always felt safe by doing so. ps: what does ‘watch your six’ mean?
heather
Hi Kate, We live way out in the country and there is no police to call they would never get out here in time to help. We are on our own out here. Yes, we have guns you don’t want to break into this house! lol We have lived here for over 50 years but since the illegal marijuana grows have popped up everywhere in brings in a lot of criminals from other states and other countries to work on them. There have been several women who have gone missing so I usually wear a hat when driving alone to cover up my blonde hair and I am always hyper alert. ‘Watch your six’ is a military term that means watch your back out there. I so miss the old days when it was safe to go horseback riding and explore the mountains I did that when I was growing up but can’t do that anymore.
KATE SARSFIELD
Cripes, that’s a scary way to have to live. Stay safe!
Elizabeth
Oh, the caregiving bit is kicking my butt too, so I sympathize! (Sesame Street had a plotline the other day where Abby Cadabby was overwhelmed babysitting baby dragons, and when Elmo said “Abby is doing a great job taking care of everybody, but who takes care of Abby?” I got a little misty.) I’m off to run some errands on the bus, which is running late because of a festival in town. Walter is darling, even from the back!
Elizabeth
Also, warmlines are great if you need to talk to someone spontaneously for support without need for/committing to something more intense. I don’t know what’s available in Idaho specifically, but NAMI Idaho’s contact page might have something for your county. The Friendship Line from the National Institute on Aging gives one-on-one support 24/7 (you don’t have to be a senior to use it) at 888-670-1360. You can also search warmline.org to find specific lines suited to your personal/local demographics (though you might want to double check to make sure a line’s listed hours are up to date). It’s helped me feel better, and might help when you’re overwhelmed.
Regina
Today is not great. A family member had a bad stroke yesterday. Heading to the hospital in a bit.
Shelly Peterson
Today wasn’t a good day. Here in Spokane, Wa we had several major fires. The wind didn’t help at all. Luckily I didnt have to evacuate, but my brother and sis in law did. They still don’t know if there home survived or not. Many of my family members, including me, went hours without electricity. 😭
Tamra Phelps
Okay, Connie, I’m with George on the shot in the eye thing, lol. I would not let you anywhere near my eyes with a needle! I would be more likely to let Walter do it, lolol!!! Joking! Seriously, take care of yourself too. I know it’s easy to say that and hard to find a way to do that–but I hope you try to find a time just to rest. Go sit with Francis once in a while.
Terri Quick
I finally got the $100 Amazon win that I’ve been fighting for 🎉
KATE SARSFIELD
Whoop! Good for you – enjoy!
Natalie
I had to work today which wasn’t too busy. I got a new puppy so we went on a her second walk today.
l p
the day is going well. out early to the farmers markets for fresh veggies and fruit. sorry to hear things aren’t exactly going your way, Connie. don’t forget to take care of Number ONE (that’s you). enjoy your week-end. thanks
Barrie
Every day is getting better after hiatal hernia surgery week and half ago. “relearning” to swallow is interesting.
heather
I take care of a loved one too and it is hard work. I need to take more time for myself that’s for sure. Hope you get back in your craft room soon. Walter is getting so big I love seeing pictures of him they always make me smile.
Polly Hall
When one spouse is the caregiver it is a 24-7 job, I just read an article that said the patient is most likely to out live the caregiver because they do not take care of them selves so it is very important that you take some time for your self care.
Connie: The Head Peanut
Thank you Polly. I know I have got to start making me time. Hummm maybe sooner than I thought. LOL
KATE SARSFIELD
Poor Connie, it’s so hard dealing with illness in the family. Poor George too, he knows how hard it is for you. But Walter? That’s a puppy? Are you sure?
All i’ve done today is meet up with another volunteer from the rescue centre & gave her the kitten & mommy cat food I bought during the week. Saves me a 2-hour round trip.
Connie: The Head Peanut
That is so true. George does feel so bad. I keep telling him it’s not his fault. Ya know he still won’t let me give him that shot in the eye?!?!?! Really?! I’ve watched the doctor a LOT!! (Insert evil grin!) Yeah this puppy is so dang big. I can’t even imagine him next summer.
Regina
I absolutely love the photo of your dog in this post. I can’t believe it is August already!
Connie: The Head Peanut
Can you believe that is a PUPPY!?!? I can’t wait to see him next summer.
Shelly Peterson
How is it already August. Time just flies by. Happy August. I hope you can find some time soon to do some crafting.
Connie: The Head Peanut
I can’t believe it’s August either. I can’t believe how fast time is going. What are you working on now??
