How I Accidentally Became a Successful Indoor Gardener
I know, I know. You’re currently staring at your screen in complete disbelief. “Wait, successful indoor gardener?? Isn’t she the one with the legendary brown thumb? The one whose outdoor garden currently looks like a localized apocalypse?”
Yes. Yes, I am. I am her. The Successful Indoor Gardener
But brace yourselves, because a literal miracle has occurred inside my house. I might just be a successful indoor gardener after all!
Remember last week when I was obsessing over that new-fangled self-watering pot? I honestly didn’t even know they existed, and now? I am completely addicted. No more sad, wilted plants looking at me with judgment. So JUDGY! My plants are thriving. I tell you, thriving! Picture me right now, jumping up and down and clapping like I just won the lottery. Because in my plant world, keeping something alive is winning the lottery.
Say Hello to My Pumpkin-Shaped Savior
Because one self-watering pot isn’t enough to sustain my new personality, today this successful indoor gardener upgraded to seasonal decor. Enter the Pumpkin Shaped Orange Ceramic Self-Watering Pot.
Successful Indoor Gardener STILL Rattle Brained
My Grandma is in heaven just laughing her tush off! I wasn’t really paying attention… so FIRST I potted the plant in the water section of the planter. Yup, Rattle Brained Connie Sue is alive and well.

It adds the perfect, playful autumn touch to my indoor setup. It’s a vibrant, warm pumpkin orange with a beautiful ceramic glaze that instantly brightens up my little plant display table. But let’s be real—the best part is the built-in water reservoir. It quietly wicks water directly to the roots, completely preventing me from overwatering (my usual crime) OR forgetting to water (my other usual crime). It essentially keeps the plants perfectly hydrated with zero effort on my part. Y’all know THAT saves ME!
The Best Plants for Self-Watering Pots
If you want to join my accidental green-thumb club, this cute pumpkin shape is absolutely ideal for moisture-loving houseplants. It’s a perfect match for:
- African Violets (for a pop of color) Which I still haven’t bought for myself!
