X-Shot Bug Attack From #Zuru

I am in official Christmas MODE!! Christmas is only 39 days away. HOLY MOLY does anyone else think that this year has gone REALLY FAST!?!? With 3 Grandkids, 3 Grown Kids and The Husband and The GG and the …. well, you get the idea! All on retirement pay?! Hellooooo why didn’t I start shopping in January?!  Okay, enough whining!

I am really excited about today’s review.  The folks at Zuru have combined two of their most successful brands, X Shot and Bug Attack, to create a new and innovative blaster line which combines high performance blasting and ultimate accuracy challenges. Check out Bug Attack Rapid Fire!!

I can’t wait to see Eli’s face light up on Christmas Day!! Using Creepeez as moving targets for the Bug Attack blasters, throw the bugs against the wall and shoot them as they crawl to see them fall! Creepeez can also be launched into the air for a more skilled shot.

 

The Husband and I have been having a BLAST with this toy!! Starting with the Bugs. The bugs each have 6 very sticky little legs that crawl down the wall. Not so much crawl actually as they fall with grace. The legs catch the wall as they fall making them look like the bugs are crawling. The bugs fall in a random path so it makes shooting them more challenging and more FUN!!

The gun holds 6 foam darts that do sting a little if you shoot up really close. It feels like a rubber band snap. So, be sure to remind the younger kids to not aim around the face!! The foam darts will shoot 55 feet! That’s impressive!! I also want to note that you can’t fire all six shots at once. You do have to pull back the orange lever to each time you want to shoot. To load your blaster simply insert the foam dart in the barrel.

As far as looks it’s a fun bright green with orange and blue accents.  I’m not sure what the blue ‘water’ looking decoration is on top of the blaster. It doesn’t move it so I’m not sure what it is supposed to be.

The barrel does spin around.

The blaster is spring-powered simply pull orange handle to prime and shoot.  You do have to prime the blaster for each shot. Great for eye hand coordination. REALLY great for FUN!!

Bug Attack Rapid Fire is really FUN!! The Husband and I have been playing with this so much that Eli may not get this for Christmas!!

We all know that within seconds of this coming out of the box someone will shoot their little brother or sister. It’s a given. So some supervision is recommended. A reminder that we don’t shoot at people; we just shoot at the bugs!!

WHINES

I don’t have a single whine. This is so much fun to shoot. The Husband, on the other hand is whining because I took this away from him! It’s FOR ELI!! NOT The Husband!!
