The “Trophy” In Hypertrophy: Gaining More Strength To Live A Healthier Life

We’ve got a little goal in life to be as healthy as possible, whether it’s for the benefit of our children, or we’re getting on in years. But there seems to be a battle to get it done right. Perhaps we don’t have enough time, or we don’t have any focus in terms of what we want to achieve. If you don’t know where to begin, possibly, gaining more strength is a great way for you to live a healthier life overall. But are there any simple ways for you to begin gaining more strength so you can be healthier all-round?

The Right Supplementation

In one respect the supplementation is pretty straightforward but if you want to be stronger, it’s about the right supplementation in combination with the right lifestyle. It’s all in the word, supplement. There’s a lot of ways to repair the muscle, from Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators, also known as SARMs, to more common ones like creatine, it’s worth doing relevant research to make sure that you are comfortable with the supplements. There’s a lot of research into various SARMs, such as chemyo rad140 and YK 11 Follistatin, which have been shown to have a positive impact on building muscle, but it’s worth exercising some common sense with this. When it comes to nutrient supplementation, there is a lot of information out there, so be sure you know what you’re getting into.

Focus On Fatiguing The Muscle

In one respect, it is straightforward; you fatigue the muscles, so they build back bigger, and therefore, stronger. If you want to get stronger, you should focus on fatiguing, but also training specifically for strength. It’s important to train for a specific goal as well. For example, if you want to lift a certain amount of weight, or you want to do so many pull-ups, these can be used as a marker of strength, so you need to work at these goals. But also, think about the right strength training routines. A lot of people focus on exercising their biceps, for example, because they think this is the best way to get stronger, but if you want to be strong, you have got to think about every part of your body, this means using what they call in the gym compound movements.

Don’t Forget To Rest

While we all feel that, in order to get stronger, that we’ve got to keep pushing, there’s a lot to be said for rest as well. When you think about something like strength, it’s not something you can can increase by 200% overnight, but it’s about the slow burn. There are things that you can do to improve certain aspects of strength, such as training your muscle memory, but rest is as important, if not more important than the actual exercises. A lot of people feel that in order to receive any sort of benefit they have to hit the gym seven days a week; this is not the case. And it all depends on the exercises you do because if you do something like extreme high-intensity strength training, you’re going to need more rest. The bottom line is very simple: you should listen to your body!

Yes, this is so true. We need to train our bodies even more as we age. I do yoga and love it. I wish I could do it more and I walk. I used to run but my knees no longer like it 🙂 Adding weights is supposed to help as well as we age. I think that’s the hardest to do unless you join a gym or have someone to do it with. If you don’t do it 7 days a week, how often do you recommend? Thanks1

Regular physical activity promotes general good health. For many of us, “exercise” means walking. But often overlooked is the value of strength-building exercises.
