Have never played but have watched a few games. Just never had the want to learn to be good at it. For years my sister in law has had a open inviation to friends in the general location for Christmas Eve dinner. All of them are in the 60+ kids married moved away or visting in laws. They come bringing all kinds of food and drink. About 10 pm they start playing poker and it usually goes on till 2 or 3 am. Some go home some just find a spot to crash.
