Alavor Womens 100% Leather RFID Blocking Wallet Review
I love leather items. From purses to shoes! Jackets to……. well, I think I will draw my limit at leather pants. We’ll just leave it at jackets.
I want to share with you my new women’s leather Alavor Wallet. This wallet has to be the softest, most luxurious leather wallet I’ve ever owned. The leather is supple, soft, just truly amazing. I truly can’t get over the feel of this wallet. You can practically see the softness just looking at the wallet.
My favorite feature is a major perk for me. The Alavor wallet has RFID blocking capabilities which is so important in this day and age. Now, in case you have been living in a cave with the Croods for the last ohhhh 15 years or so…. here is your RFID refresher course:
It’s really scary how easy it is for crooks to get your information!! If you’ve never Googled RFID you should; it’s scary. One article on Wikipedia explains how your credit cards could be at risk!
Wireless identity theft is a relatively new technique of gathering an individual’s personal information from RF-enabled cards carried on a person in their access control, credit, debit, or government issued identification cards. Each of these cards carry a Radio frequency identification chip which responds to certain radio frequencies. When these “tags” come into contact with radio waves, they respond with a slightly altered signal. The response can contain encoded personal identifying information, including the card holder’s name, address, Social Security Number, phone number, and pertinent account or employee information.
Upon capturing (or ‘harvesting’) this data, the thief is then able to program their own cards to respond in an identical fashion (via ‘cloning’). Many sites are dedicated to nothing but teaching people how to perform this act, as well as supplying the necessary equipment and software.
The world we live in today, you can’t be too careful. Why not take a small step to your virtual credit card safety?! According to the world’s largest provider of banking and payment technologies, FIS, the annual cost of credit card fraud in the U.S. is estimated to be $8.6 billion per year and experts believe that figure will rise to $10 billion or higher in 2016.
This wallet has other perks like a removable card holder with ID window. There are so many compartments including a zipper pocket for your change.
The wallet will hold 18 different cards!! There are 2 areas for cash or receipts and a large open slot that will hold either the cardholder or your phone.
WHINES
I do have a couple of whines. First the tab that holds the wallet closed doesn’t. My wallet does not stay closed. Yes, I do have all my credit cards and membership cards so it is full. But, I think that adding a snap there would be awesome. My second whine is that the ID window doesn’t have a cutout which makes getting my ID out a pain. The wallet holds my ID in there tight!!
All in all it’s great wallet. My whines are minor because the look and softness are AMAZING!!
Added bonus the wallet arrives beautifully packaged in a black box. This would absolutely make a wonderful gift!!

It boggles the mind that thieves don’t even have to get your wallet to get your money, right? But these wallets are a necessity now.

Obviously I “have been living in a cave with the Croods”, I even had to Google Croods!

I was looking for a wallet to gift someone. And I think this is just the right one and having all the features that are required for a business man.

It does look nice. I like the idea of being protected from the rfid theft, too.

OK, for me the not staying closed would be a deal breaker. And I’d want the window for my ID.
