• How To Study To Advance Your Career As A Busy Working Mom

    Business

Anyone with kids knows that being a mom is a full-time job. Yet, many of us also work part- or full-time alongside bringing up our little ones. Add additional homework and study to the mix, something that’s often essential when it comes to advancing your career, and things can start to get hectic quickly! The good news is that there are some smart ways you can hack your study time as a busy working mom and get more done with fewer interruptions. Keep reading to find out what they are. Microlearning works First of all, most people think that to learn anything, you have to sit down for hours with a textbook and make perfect notes. The good news for busy moms is that this is not true. Microlearning can be just as effective as, if not more effective than, long stretches of study. Microlearning is about taking small chunks of time out of your day and using them for study and learning. You can do this traditionally by reading and making notes on a single chapter or paragraph in a textbook, or you can get high-tech and allow ChatGPT to make notes, flashcards, or even quiz you. • The Most Durable Metals for Extreme Environments

An oil platform sits in the ocean as a container ship approaches its general direction. The sun sets on the horizon.

Extreme environments require the use of durable materials. From desert heat to polar frost or deep-sea pressure, certain industries need metals that can withstand a range of conditions. The wrong choice could lead to costly setbacks and failure for workers and manufacturing companies. This post reviews the most durable metals for extreme environments and explains why these materials excel. The Most Durable Metals In order to be called durable in extreme conditions, a metal must resist corrosion, withstand force, hold strength in severe temperatures, and remain stable under stress. Ferrous and nonferrous metal alloys bring these qualities to the forefront, standing strong in the toughest environments. Stainless Steel Engineered with chromium and nickel alloys, stainless steel thrives under high heat and resists corrosion. Its moisture resistance extends its utility to marine environments, where it holds up against saltwater and storms, as seen in offshore drilling platforms. Titanium Titanium is a lightweight metal that can withstand harsh treatment. With impressive strength to weight ratios, it’s ideal for aerospace engineering, deep-sea vessels, and medical implants. Its innate resistance to oxidization means it holds up even in the most humid environments. And because titanium is a nonferrous metal, it offers adaptability across industries.…

    Lahome area rug

It’s SPRING??? I have to start this post with something I keep saying over and over. This has been the WEIRDEST winter EVER!!! Even born-and-raised Idahoans say the same thing. IT’s a WEIRD winter!!! One person I talked to is a 3rd generation and no one remembers a winter like this. We have had very little snow. We get snow, then we get rain and the snow is gone. March 1st and I have no snow except MAYBE a pile under a tree. MAYBE!! Seriously, IDAHO! NO SNOW in March?? WHAT?!?!? Now all that whining is NOT really WHINING. It’s an observation. So please, Mother Nature, I am fine. I AM FINE!! I do not need you to show me what ‘COULD BE’. I’m fine. I really shouldn’t have even brought it up….. so erase, erase… forget I said anything.  As you no doubt have noticed I am in FULL, SPRING mode. I’m ready for flowers, hummingbirds, and butterflies. I’m also ready for spring cleaning (YOU KNOW I’m lying about that part!) I AM ready to add some spring color and texture to my livingroom. I started with a light dusting of furniture (I’m lying here too! It’s FILTHY in…
