Spectacular images from Kilauea
This is from the HawaiiNewsNow – Spectacular images from Kilauea Volcano. The USGS posted this time-lapse video from Kilauea volcano on the Big Island. The video was taken from May 26th all the way up until July 11th. A thermal camera on the rim of Pu’u O’o crater shows the rising level of the lava lake inside. Scientists say the rise is due to an uplift of the crater floor. The uplift has been especially pronounced over the past few days, shown by the final few moments of the movie.
