Check Out My ODE to Ansel Adams! GIVEAWAY!!
You probably need a half a second on Peanut Butter and Whine to realize that I love taking photographs!! My camera is in my hand at MINIMUM once a day. Granted, most of the time I’m taking photo’s of the Grandbabies. Occasionally, I do take photo’s of other things, for instance, our last camping trip to Yosemite, my son Zac gave me a gift card for a 4 hour photography class from the Ansel Adams studio. HOLY MOLY!! Not only did I learn a ton of stuff about Ansel Adams. For instance, did you know that, since Ansel couldn’t pay employees a lot of money, he gifted them with original SIGNED photographs along with the negatives!! Can you imagine?! What a treasure those prints and negatives are!
I also learned how to ‘see’ nature through the camera lens, what Ansel looked for in his shots. I learned how Ansel framed his shots. I stood where Ansel STOOD and I took photo’s just like Ansel Adams did in the 1950’s. I used the black and white setting, of course, I mean really? How can you do a Ansel Adams tour with color photographs?!?!
I have one shot in particular that I was giddy over! It looks three dimensional. You see the trees, the mountains and the clouds behind them. I am thrilled with this shot! It seemed like such a waste to just keep it on disk. This shot needed to be on CANVAS!!
Canvas Factory did such a fantastic job with my print! This canvas POPS!! I feel that even Ansel himself would be impressed with this one.
My photograph was not only printed on a thick, excellent quality canvas; but, the wooden frame has a velvet strip that cover all of the wood on the back. First, this is a great finishing touch!! BONUS! This canvas will NOT leave a single mark on your walls. The photograph stretches around the frame. Canvas Factory even has a saw-tooth hook, making it SUPER easy to hang straight on my wall.
I am thoroughly impressed of the quality of my canvas, shipping was fast. The canvas was well packaged. Covered in plastic then covered in bubble wrap with cardboard wrapped corners. My canvas arrived immediately ready to hang on the wall. By the way, shipping is FREE everyday!
Create canvas prints that are limited only by your imagination.
Canvas Factory truly does AMAZING work!! They will make your photos into a masterpiece. Make a complete wall display of canvases. Make single canvases in sizes 12″ by 12″ all the way to 54″ x 36″
Don’t have a photo that you want made into canvas? That’s okay, there are TONS of photo’s and artwork available at your disposal at Canvas Art. You can add the PERFECT piece to your walls at home or in the office. You will NOT be disappointed.
Not only does Canvas Art put art work on canvas, but also on aluminum and acrylic!! I can’t wait to try a photo on ACRYLIC!!!!

I learned this: “What type of canvas do you use?
Our canvas photo prints are produced on matte cotton that has a GSM count of 360. To protect our high-quality canvases, we add a coating that makes them resistant to damage from water, dust, and UV light.”

So many fun things on their website! I am a bit of a traditionalist, though, and am fairly hooked on canvas prints! I am hoping to do a canvas with one of my favorite recent family portraits soon!

I like several of the stock photos, especially that of Mont Blanc, although I would probably opt to have a family portrait done if I were to win. Might be hard to pick out which one though.

The first thing I noticed was that you could order your canvas in a split image–awesome. I love the aluminum prints and the acrylic glass prints. I would love to have all my grandchildren on a split print (acrylic glass) and arranged by family. Gee, this is an awesome sight and I am already thinking ‘Christmas”.
