Unless you are new here, you’ve already heard that I’m headed to Hawaii in October for a Girls Only vacation! I’ll be toes in the sand, fruity drink in my hand, and sun on my face, Novica attire at the ready, for an entire week!!

Now, getting there will take 5 hours. Five hours on a crowded airplane. My main goal during travel is comfort. Now, at the same time, I want to pack light, so I want my travel outfit to also double as a daytime outfit. First place I looked? Novica!!

Check out my latest treasure!! My travel outfit!! First, my Chic Olive Cotton Sundress! First, the color is amazing! LOVE the color!! The perfect Olive Green color!! LOVE it!!! Tomomi has transformed a cool cotton sheath dress into casual chic!!  I will be turning heads in my new sundress. The olive green slip dress features a second set of straps in the front that tie around the neck. This dress is 100% cotton. Wash by hand and hang dry. DO NOT use the dryer!! This dress hangs beautifully just below the knee. This dress is made in Indonesia. The artist is Tomomi, born in Japan, who graduated from Tokyo University with a major in Art and Design.  Through her designs, Tomomi perpetuates Balinese tradition and empowers women through training and providing jobs in a community environment.

Anyone who has been on an airplane knows that you don’t wear a sundress alone!! You either add a sweater or light jacket. Now, I’ll be in Hawaii, I don’t need or WANT to lug around a sweater or jacket. I found the perfect accent to my dress in this Breezy Green, Thai Green and Olive Cotton Shawl. OH MY GOODNESS!!! This beautiful shawl was created by Vinita in Thailand. It’s handwoven and reveals the rustic textures of hand-spun cotton. The shawl is the perfect accent to my sundress.  This light green and olive green combination is STUNNING!! THE PERFECT accent to my dress, PERFECT for travel, and well, the PERFECT color to boot!! This is an open weave wrap that’s 69″ long and 20.½” wide. Since this is a handcrafted item, color and size may vary slightly.  The tag says that you can machine wash in cold water.  I will still wash by hand, my new, 100% cotton wrap is too perfect to take any chances!!  Dry in the shade. DO NOT put in the dryer!

My shawl was created by Vinita. I love that Vinita’s name is a combination of her Father and Mother’s names. Pinit and Viboonwan. I LOVE that Novica shares not just the artist basic information, but interesting facts too.
