Children’s Play Toy Tea Set

The NaNa’s house just got a little more fun! Check out this toy tea set from Velocity Toys. I’m pretty sure I had this exact same design with I was little. I LOVED playing house and it’s one of those fun creative, role playing things that I’m glad that my Grandkids enjoy too.

I love that this Pretend Tea Set set is metal. There is nothing to break, crack or chip. Alice is having a great time making Tea and cookies for us to enjoy.

This super cute yellow and peach colored Pretend Tea Set is made of a lightweight metal. There are no sharp edges or small pieces that could be swallowed. The serving tray is 9½” by 6″ and easily holds the serving set. The serving set is for 4 and includes 4 cups, 4 saucers, 4 small plates and a tea-pot complete with removable lid. The set has a bright and colorful design with a fruit motif. BTW, I was made aware YOU can NOT have a blueberry cup on an apple saucer. Tea etiquette is very strict where Alice is concerned.

I love toys like this because it’s not only great for expanding Alice’s imagination; but also teaching balance and eye hand coordination. Think about it, pouring water into the cups and not spilling and not ‘missing’ the cup is a great coordination exercise. Then balance, walking around with her tray of ‘tea’ and not spilling the water. I LOVE learning activities that are disguised at TOYS!!

WHINES

The handles of the cups are attached with rivets and I noticed that one of the handles is no longer attached at the bottom. I’m not sure if it came this way or if the Mighty and Powerful Alice pulled it apart. I’m not worried because The Husband can easily solder that back together.

Overall, this Pretend Tea Set is super cute and I’m certain it will be around for years!!
