Golly Gee-pers! Table Manners Cards
Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
How do you teach manners without nagging? Please and Thank you are fairly easy to teach. “What’s the magic word?” or “What do you say?” usually brings the appropriate responses. Table manners are usually a WHOLE different story!! How do you teach kids without the constant NAGGING?!?!?! Well, you make it FUN!! HELLO Table Manners Cards by Golly Gee-pers!! (Where were these when my kids were little?!?!?!)
Teaching kids table manners has never been this easy OR this FUN!!!
First, check out all the awards these cards have earned! WOW!!! I wish I had a fancy decal because these deserve the NaNa Two THUMBS up award!! WOWOW!!
The Table Manners cards arrive in a heavy canvas drawstring bag. Easy to keep all the cards together.
Each card has a boy on one side and a girl on the other, one for each behavior. The cards are a little over 2″ wide and a little over 4″ tall with rounded corners. The cards are also laminated, making them extra durable! They are easily wiped off with a damp rag.
The cards have good and bad behaviors on them, like chewing with your mouth closed. Thumbs UP!! Elbows on the table. Thumbs DOWN!!
More to love, blank cards with thumbs up or thumbs down!! EXCELLENT for those personalized behaviors you want to address at your table!
There are also instruction cards to help parents get started, with suggestions to make sure that your game is a success.
I sort of invited myself to lunch at my daughters house. This is how lunch started:
I am blown away at the difference in just ONE MEAL!!!!! I explained to the three kids, Emma 5, Eli 4, and Alice 2 how the cards worked. Explaining good behaviors like eating all your food. No slouching. No talking with your mouth full. All three kids caught ON quickly AND were SO ‘into the game’ they forgot they were LEARNING!!!!!!!
The Golly Gee-pers! Table Manners Cards are BRILLIANT!! The cards help parents to correct the bad behavior and applaud the good behavior as it happens in such a fun way!! No one had hurt feelings and everyone had fun!! The kids LOVED it when they caught Mommy and NaNa doing a bad behaviors!!! I even tried to trick Emma by slouching in my chair after she took a bite. She did AWESOME!!! Waiting until she swallowed her food before calling me out on my behavior and giving me my Thumbs Down card.
Golly Gee-pers! Table Manners Cards are recommended for ages 4 and up, but I’m a firm believer that it’s never too early to learn good manners. Alice did pretty good for 2 years old!!
Golly Gee-pers! Table Manners Cards has earned some very prestitous and impressive awards!! Two Dr. Toy Awards, Mom’s Choice Gold Award, Family Review Center’s Best of 2012 and Seal of Approval, The Next Big Zing for Kids.
Table Manners Cards are perfect for all families, big or small. Since the cards are kept in the bag, they can easily go with you anywhere!!
I highly recommend these cards!! These get the NaNa seal of Approval with 2 very enthusiastic thumbs WAY WAY UP!!!

Now you’ll get to see if they remember their manners after you’ve been gone for a week.

Any time you can make learning fun, kids are more likely to learn.

What an awesome idea! I think we could all use that game. It would be nice to see people get back to the idea of manners, and not just table manners. People from the south still have manners. It is a pleasure to her Yes, Mama! and No, Mama!
