Large Leather Tote Handbag Review

I love leather handbags and purses. I love the scent, the feel and the look. This Sonyabecca Leather Handbag is (as my 5-year-olds says) GINORMOUS!! This is less of a handbag and more of a tote, work bag, briefcase. This bag is seriously large. The bag arrives in a very lightweight dust bag.

Made of real leather in a light brown color. Unlined inside except for a removable, thick spotted bag. The bag is held in place by a lobster clasp on each side. The bag is trimmed in the same leather as the purse. It zips closed with a heavy duty gold zipper with a zipper pull again with the same leather as the bag. Inside the spotted bag is a pocket for my phone and a second pocket for my camera. The opposite side has a large, deep zippered pocket that I keep all my pens and lip colors and such in. You could easily remove this cloth bag and transfer to another large bag.

The leather bag has two 1″ thick handles. The handles are unique because they are sewn into the outside of the bag but only about a fourth of the way into the handle. It’s a unique look. I personally am not crazy about the look. If I were to design this bag I would have the handles/straps inside the bag for a more finished look on the outside. The rest of the bag is plain with no decorations or ornaments. There is a stitched circle on each side toward the top which is where the magnetic snap is sewn in.

The snap is nice and strong.
Inside the bag is unfinished leather. There are no pockets or compartments.
The leather bag is 11.5″ tall and 7.25″ wide.
The handles have about a 10″ drop. I can easily wear this on my shoulder.
I use this as my work bag, I find it holds a LOT of stuff especially when I remove the cloth bag. It’s larger than any other bag I own.

WHINES

My only whine With this Sonyabecca Leather Tote Bag is the handles, I do wish they were inside the bag. But, really that’s just a personal preference. Being real leather this bag will age nicely and just look better and better!! Personally, I can’t wait for that broken in look and feel.
