Packing Check List For Las Vegas CES Convention!!
I am so excited!! In January I will be speaking at the Zmodo Smart Home Exhibit!! Ackkkk!!! I know that it’s a little early to start worrying about my packing list but, since I don’t travel all that often I am THE worst at remember things. On previous trips I’ve gotten to my hotel room and forgotten a toothbrush, oh I had toothpaste, mouthwash, floss and my white strips but not a toothbrush to be found! One trip it was underwear. Seriously?! WHO FORGETS to pack UNDERWEAR?!?! Since that trip I have kept a check off sheet in my suitcase. I am determined to learn from my mistakes!! I also want to start picking up little things as I’m doing my Christmas shopping. I use the travel sizes unless it’s a long trip or I am packing for two. I especially LOVE using up the samples that come in the mail. Shampoo and Conditioners are my favorite. Less stuff to pack when it’s time to leave and who knows I may find a new favorite shampoo!
So here is my list as it stands now. Please! If you have a hint or idea PLEASE leave me a comment below!!
So, starting with toiletries! I’ll be adding them to my brand new dwellbee Hanging Toiletry Bag. This bad boy is so sleek looking!! It’s sturdy black canvas with accented brown leather!! Two snap pockets for make-up or other bottles. Two zippered areas that are large enough for make-up brushes! (Ackkk… must add makeup brushes to list!) This bag folds in thirds so it’s very compact. A brass hook is super sturdy for hanging behind the door in the hotel bathroom. This is a GREAT bag!! Even arrives in its own dust cover. Seriously, how great is this bag? It even closes with a heavy duty snap on the bottom OR you can use the buckle to open and close the bag. The zippers are sturdy with great leather pulls too! This will be in my suitcase for years!!

Next up my in my new City Traveler Multifunction Trolley Backpack!! I will be able to pack my toiletry bag and my clothing:

The City Traveler Multifunction Trolley Backpack has 2 Durable Nylon Spinner Wheels AND backpack straps. So if I need to run through the airport (yes, even I laughed at that one!! Me? RUN? Never gonna happen!)
As I was saying…. the City Traveler has a two-tiered aluminum trolley handle that zips away in its own pocket. The straps are wide and easy to put on your back, if you are traveling with kids this is a must have!! The straps actually attach to the side of the bag with heavy duty clips. The straps also have their own; out-of-the-way zippered compartment to easily store them away. The folks at City Traveler thought of everything!! The wheels are wide enough and strong enough to actually ROLL and not fall over. There are plenty of compartments for my laptop, iPad and clothing. The suitcase itself is made of heavy duty nylon but so lightweight!! I love that I have everything I need for a 4 day mini vacation all in one 4 wheel, lightweight suitcase!! Absolutely perfect size!! Now I wish I was flying because I wouldn’t even need to check this suitcase in!!! This will easily store under the seat or in the overhead!! SWEET!!
Okay, what am I forgetting? Ahhhh contact lens case and solution…. that’s what!!
Is anyone else going to CES in Las Vegas in 2017.

AND don’t forget to leave room for presents to bring home!

Very organized packing! I usually forget something, but often it’s something I can just buy when I get there (hopefully!)

I can’t really advise you about packing, because truly I am the worst. I do use a lot of zip-locks for makeup tough surely you knew that.

I love your toiletry bag! That would help me pack for sure. I am a last minute packer and I am trying to break this pattern. I love the idea of making a list. This would keep me far better organized.

When packing, don’t forget your medicines or the ones you may need. My stepdad was just on a trip and they forgot the Benadryl, he was having an allergic reaction to something in hotel room.

Ha! I’m exactly the same as Clojo, lists about lists! Anyway, I just thought of another tip that comes in handy for me: keep your mix & match outerwear neutral so you can add a scarf or similar to add colour.

I always print more than one copy of my list in case I lose the first one and also to make sure that I bring everything back with me. I have forgotten to pack items on the way home once or twice.

Hey, good for you! Have fun! My memory is not what it used to be, so I have to make lists! One thing I’ve learned to keep in my purse (not just in the luggage, but actually on me!!)—a small sewing kit & safety pins! Something always seems to tear! I’ve also been telling myself I need to carry one of those Tide pens to get out spots instantly (Yeah, I’m messy with food, lol.)

Hey congrats Connie & enjoy every minute! I’m a list-maker, always have been, always will, so like Clojo I too have a template that I adapt to suit the circumstances. I always pack the minimum I can get away with (if I need extra I’ll get it when I’m there) but there’s one thing that I absolutely HAVE to take, and that’s comfortable shoes!

I have to have a list too. How about a sewing kit and safety pins.

LOL. I know what you mean Connie. I actually have a Packing list template on my computer that I update when I am about to travel. When it’s time to pack I print it out, and check off the items. Definitely comes in handy. Congrats and good luck on your speaking engagement! 🙂
