Reasons To Have Interactive Elements on a Trade Show Booth
Trade shows are a great way to showcase your business and interact with potential customers. However, with so many companies competing for attention, having an eye-catching and engaging trade show booth is important. One way to do this is by incorporating interactive elements into your booth design. This will grab the attention of passersby, teach attendees about your brand, and leave a lasting impression on them. Delve into the top reasons to have interactive elements on a trade show booth.
It Attracts Attention
A static display can be easy to overlook because it blends in with the crowd. People love engaging with something because it’s fun! You can encourage visitors to interact with a touch screen or snap a photo for social media. These elements can draw people in and make them stop at your booth instead of walking past it.
Don’t add elements solely to wow attendees— elements should relate to your business. A tech business may have a virtual reality game for visitors to try, while a food company can offer tastings or cooking demos. Incorporating interactive elements that align with your brand and showcasing what you do is key.
Pro Tip
Knowing how to attract visitors is vital to understanding what makes an effective trade show booth. Ensure your exhibit looks inviting with interactive elements, ample color, and plenty of space.
It Teaches Attendees About Your Brand
Interactive displays are an excellent way to educate attendees about your products, services, or company. They offer a hands-on experience, allowing attendees to learn at their own pace and in their own way. For instance, if you’re showcasing a new device, an interactive display can show attendees how to use it. This helps them understand how the item works and demonstrates its real-time benefits.
Similarly, interactive displays allow you to engage with visitors more effectively. Instead of just reading about your company’s history or values, attendees can explore this information through videos, quizzes, and other interactive content.
It Creates Memorable Experiences
The final reason to incorporate interactive elements in a trade show booth is that they create lasting memories for attendees. People tend to remember experiences more than facts or figures, especially when these experiences engage their senses and emotions. Interactive elements can provide such experiences, making your booth and brand more memorable.
Experiences like a VR that transports attendees to a different world or an interactive game that gets their adrenaline pumping can leave a strong impression. These experiences can make your booth stand out in the sea of similar booths, ensuring attendees remember your brand long after the trade show has ended.

There used to be a couple of shows maybe on HGTV (not sure) where they filmed different types of trade shows. It was always interesting to see the future products. And DREAM of having some of them.
YEARS ago I worked in the order dept of Facuet Mfg company. I had a chance to go to a trade show in chicago. OH man that was so interesting

And I imagine a lot of those “ohhhhh I like that” features are now common in the big stores.
