Staples!! That WAS Easy!!

Nexus 7 from StaplesWhen Staples says “That was Easy” they mean THAT WAS EASY!!!  I went shopping for a tablet on Staples.com.  I knew sort of what I wanted.  I wanted a light weight tablet for reading in bed.  I opened up the Staples website and there are pages and pages and PAGES of tablets!! So many choices!! It would have been overwhelming except that Staples has all the tools you need to zone in on what’s perfect for YOU!!

I was able to narrow down my list by size.  7 to 7.9 inches was the perfect size for me.  Next I narrowed my list by cost.  Then I narrowed my list by reviews. Then I used the option to compare up to 3 tablets. NOW we’re talkin’!  I was able to see how my top 3 tablets stacked up against each other. There is even a button to ‘highlight the differences’  Using all these tools helped me narrow down the tablets and pick the perfect one for me!

Staples.com website is super easy to use!!  So what did I end out picking?!  I chose the Nexus 7 16GB Tablet from Google. Staples had 321 reviews! With a rating of 4.5 stars out of 5.  That is impressive.

Shipping is unbelievably fast.  (I’m not positive, but, the Staples fairy must have hand delivered this!! It was truly that fast!)

Inside the box, the Nexus was already half charged, which is really great, because I have the patience of a gnat!!

The Nexus set up was easy. Turn the Nexus on, a screen comes up with directions to connect to the Internet and BAMB BABY you are on your way!!

So, what set this one apart from the others, for me?  Size 7″ display area has a high resolution of 1280 by 800. Also has the Corning Glass!! YEA!! No scratches for me!! The Nexus 7 is SLIM! Light weight, weighing in at 11 ounces. VERY NICE!! The back of the Nexus has a rubber type feel to it. I really like that, it doesn’t slip from my hand. (I know I’ll drop it on my head when I fall asleep reading…. but at least it won’t slide from my hands!)
I’ve found I can get 3 nights of reading and or playing games before I need to charge the Nexus 7.
The write up says: Over 9 hours of HD video playback, 10 hours of web browsing, 10 hours of reading and up to 300 hours of stand-by time so you spend less time charging. That’s holding very true for me.

I can read my Gmail, I can watch YouTube, I have all my iTunes music loaded, which was SUPER easy with the Synctunes Wireless that came with the Nexus 7. I wasn’t expecting such great sound from such a small tablet, but what a great bonus.
The Nexus is powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The latest version of the world’s most popular mobile platform.  (Seriously! Who doesn’t love a Jelly Bean?)
I can watch movies, I can SKYPE!!! Nexus has a front facing 1.2MP camera.
Nexus 7 from Staples 3WiFi 802.11 b/g/n Bluetooth!!

I’ve already loaded up all of my books from both Kindle and Kobo.  I’ve got Bejeweled. Google Earth, I have navigation and I have traffic and weather!!
Video’s play like watching a television.
I am a million times over thrilled with my Nexus 7 from Staples.
MAN!! THAT was EASY!!!!!!!

Disclosure I received complimentary products from Staples for the purpose of my review. No other compensation was provided. The opinions are mine and 100% honest. I have not been influenced in any way. Be sure to check out all the Tablets and e-Readers at Staples.

It is a touch screen. I do use my stylus. Downloading straight from the internet is super easy!! I especially love all the book sites… Kobo.com right now has trivia contest going on and each day you can win 30%, 20% off coupons and more. I’m stockin’ my tablet up with books!!

I had never heard of these–and we are interested in a tablet so will be looking into these after reading your review.

Good points, Websites are great for research, but I’d have to see the tablet in person making up my mind. Luckily several stores that carry tablets are within walking distance, including Staples.

Wow sounds like a great tablet. I want a tablet. I thought I wanted an iPad mini.
So will you tell us what the two other contenders in your list of three was? It would be nice to know in case a reader couldn’t get the nexus for some reason. I’m currently in a contest for a nexus google 7….now I really want it. I need to check the price. I know ipads are about $329.

Hi Paula, I’m sorry I totally missed this comment!! The 3 Tablets that I compared were the Nexus Google 7, The Kindle Fire HD and the Nook Tablet. The Nexus had more positive reviews on the Staples site.
I’ve been beyond pleased with my choice!!

I like that the Nexus has a rubber back on it and will help to keep it from slipping from your hands – as I am known for falling asleep while on the computer. And yes Im all for Staples , they are a great store one that I shop at all the time

I shop at Staples first before I go any where else for supplies. I usually find what I need there all the time. Tho I have need had anything shipped to me it does seem easy just like they say. I like their sales around the start of school . Always great deals for the school kids.

Great tablet. I have yet to afford one, one day, though. Glad your experience buying on was made easier. I have never ordered from Staples before, I will check them out.

The Nexus sounds awesome. Is it real expensive? I found one draw back to my Kindle. It kept ordering new books or apps., I wrote to Amazon and they would credit me but It really cost me with my bank. There I didn’t get credited back on mistakes. Overdrafts are a killer. I ended up blocking the payment method. No more buying! I love the idea the Nexus has with the corning glass too. 9 hours of movies! What’s not to love!

The Nexus was under $200. OHHHHH I would be furious with Amazon!! NOT COOL!!
Go to Kobo.com, they are running a trivia contest and each day you can win 20%, 30% and more coupons. I’ve add more books to my Nexus, I’m set for summer!
