Vling Hydration Mixers Soda Review
When I learned that I had the chance to review the Vling Hydration Mixers products, I headed right over to the site to drool over some of the flavors available. As a busy mom and a product reviewer, I don’t always have the time to kick back with an alcoholic beverage, which is why I wanted to select a flavor I knew I would love. After looking at all the mixers available, I decided to settle on the soda flavor.
Vling calls itself the manufacturer of healthy alcohol mixers. Anyone who reads my blog knows that I spend a lot of time on my feet and that I need a little boost of caffeine throughout my busy days. After coming home from a day of working with customers, I grabbed one of the cans that I left in the refrigerator that morning.
The first thing I noticed is that this really does taste like soda! We all know that Coke and Pepsi are the two biggest soda companies, but we also know that some companies have soda flavored products that taste nothing at all like those brands. This one has the same hint of sweetness you get from one of those products.
Since it is an alcoholic mixer, I decided to try mixing it with a few different liquors. Though it pairs nicely with rum and other drinks, I think I like it better on its own. The soda from Vling has fewer calories and less sugar than traditional sodas but still has a nice flavor. I also think that it has less caffeine than normal sodas because I didn’t get that jittery feeling later. The refreshing flavor, great taste and boost of caffeine makes this a winner in my book.
WHINES
What could I possibly find to whine about a great drink like this? Not only does it taste great when mixed with alcohol, but it also tastes great served all by itself. As Vling sells this in 24 can cases, I have enough on hand to share with my husband and some friends too. It had just enough caffeine to give me the boost I craved and a slightly sweet flavor that didn’t overwhelm my tongue like normal sodas do. This is another great addition to my grocery list and a product that I will definitely want to buy before my next party.

Not my cup of tea. I rather have tea or water or SoBe. Their site says no caffiene so that’s not whats giving you energy.

I don’t buy alcohol, but is $50 for a 24 can case, more than what a similar case of beer costs? Well out of my price range for drinks.

I’m not much of a drinker, but I do think having some things around for others during get-togethers is a good idea. If this tastes like real sodas, then I think guests might like it. I hadn’t heard of it before, but I’ll look for it before my next get-together.

I’m afraid I am with Kate Sarsfield. I would really prefer a natural juice.

Ew! Not to my taste at all, I’m afraid, Connie. Give me a natural juice any day – this is just artificial chemicals in water. I’m surprised that a company that’s boasting to be a manufacturer of ‘healthy’ mixers doesn’t list the ingredients on their website. All you’re told is ‘No Caffeine’, Low Cal & Low Carb’, well so is water!
