Wine Club from Uncorked Ventures Review

WINE! WINE!! WINE!! MAN I love my job!!! I get to review some pretty amazing things! One of my favorites is WINE!!  Now, first I have to say I am not a wine snob. I am not a wine connoisseur! I am not a wine expert in the least! I am, however a wine lover. I know that this will make some wine aficionado’s cringe but I will sometimes buy a wine just because of the pretty label. Uncorked Ventures not only gives me the pretty label but gives me EXCELLENT, full flavor wine!! Not just one bottle, but TWO every month!

I LOVE trying new wines. I love WINE!!!  So, the Uncorked Ventures wine club is right up my alley!!

Uncorked Ventures is a different kind of wine club. This is a family owned and operated business right outside of San Francisco. What makes them so unique is they don’t buy from a middle man or distributors. They actually spend time in wine country getting to know winemakers, vineyard owners, farmers and others directly involved in the creation of what’s in your glass!! Who do I talk to about getting adopted so I can work for Uncorked Ventures??! That is really MY kind of  job!!!

These wines are rated 90 points or ABOVE by some major wine critics!!

Mark Aselstine and Matt Krause are brothers-in-law and together they tour the wine country’s finest proprietors and winemakers, many of whom don’t advertise outside of their own region. Their discerning tastes and special connections give them unprecedented access so that they can bring these unforgettable wines to light.  These two look like they enjoy their jobs! I imagine hanging out with Mark & Matt would be fun adventure all it’s own!!

I received two bottles of wine from the Explorations Wine Club. One white wine; Sola wine. WOW! This is a great wine!  This light, crisp, white wine; it has a little of an apple taste to it. This is the PERFECT fall wine to me. Very rich tasting. Delicioussssssssssss!!

The red wine I received was my favorite of the two. Robert Mondavi Private Reserve Pinot Noir. OH my GOODNESS!!! This is the smoothest wine I’ve ever and I do mean EVER tasted. A beautiful ruby red color, with a slight taste of raspberries. Truly a smooth and delicious wine. I am NOT embarrassed in the least to admit I did NOT share a single drop of this wine.

For instance did you know there are only 8000 Commercially Active Wineries in America?  I had no idea! AND the area of the US that has seen the most growth? OREGON!!?? That really stunned me. Very interesting blog.
