Testing Testing Testing
Wonder what I was testing? I’m Refreshing My Blog (and Bust Ghosts) Updating old blog content is a bit like digital archaeology: you head in to dust the archives and end up unearthing questionable life choices from years ago. Between the over-filtered photos and advice that’s aged like room-temperature milk, the past can be… loud. The Ghost in the Machine: Lately, I’ve been dealing with a resident spirit: The Ghost of Peanut Butter and Whine. This digital poltergeist has been causing chaos behind the scenes: The 2026 Refresh Plan: I’m giving my archives a facelift to keep my blog traffic climbing and my readers happy. Here’s my step-by-step exorcism: Stick Around Please Don’t let this be a “one and done” visit. While I’m cleaning house, check out these (very much alive) links: Earn Cash: Some things never go out of style. Rakuten still pays you to shop, and in this economy, why wouldn’t you take the free money? Winner Winner Chicken Dinner: Check out the sidebar for my current giveaway—I promise this one is actually alive and kicking!

PicLight for Mac!
This app is a great option for quick edits and effects with way more control than others of it’s kind. It offers a wide variety of preset overlays and effects that work like a lot of apps and let you combine for some fun effects. Unlike a lot of apps like this, Piclight lets you control how they blend with varying opacity and blend modes. Other pro controls like exposure, highlights, and shadows help this app stand out as an easy go to for people who love taking pictures. The interface is simple and easy to use/navigate, but the color scheme is a little goofy. The interface is modern in the iOS7 aesthetic, but in my opinion it would be better served with a formal scheme that minimizes the focus from the app with more emphasis upon the photo (i.e., dark shades of gray). PicLight (Normally $19.99, now $4.99 during the time-limited new product promo) is a nifty app on Mac for adding various lighting effects and stacking effects for endless possibilities. It has handy image-editing tools for fine-tuning photos. Key features include: 170+ lighting effects in 4 categories: Montage, Light, Glow and Texture. 25+ image filters such as B&W,…

How Christie Made Nutrisystem Work and Lost Over 20 Pounds
You all know I am determined to lose weight before my 56th birthday in June, so, when I come across a site that provides a ton of great information like Nutrisystem, I feel like I have to share. Nutrisystem has been around for over four decades. Needless to say, you will come across hundreds of success stories written by people who have successfully lost weight by following the weight loss program. Check some reviews at Myfitnespal However, many of these success stories seem to be all sugar and no spice. It is almost as if the person started following Nutrisystem and Voila! the weight came off. In reality, Nutrisystem helps you lose 1 to 2 pounds per week. It takes a lot of persistence to keep up with the program when you don’t see overnight drastic reduction in your weight. Losing 40 Pounds After Trying Cheese Puffs Persistence is what helped Christie achieve her weight loss goals. It was back in late 2010, three years ago, that Christie finally conceded to the idea of losing weight. At that time, Christie had been weighing just over 173 pounds. Unlike many other overweight people, Christie didn’t suffer from any major health problems…

Potty Training Puppies!!
They may be adorable, but there’s nothing fun about cleaning up behind them for the hundredth time, especially if they’re stinking up in the room or leaving their goodies on your good furniture. To save your floors and your sanity, here are a few tips for properly house-training your puppy. Stay Watchful You can’t teach a puppy anything by letting him roam freely in your home while you’re otherwise occupied. Keep a close eye on his behavior until you’ve learned to the recognize the signs of an impending accident. Set A Schedule Try to feed your puppy at the same time every day, and then you’ll get a handle on when, how often and how much he needs to go. Not only will you be setting good habits early, but you’ll establish a gentle dominance that will come in handy as he gets older and more rambunctious. Try Professional Products If your puppy is still struggling to grasp the basics of behavior modification, consider investing in professional housebreaking equipment. Brands like Modern Puppies sell everything from playpens to “potty pads” in order to help the process along, and they can even be reused once your puppy grows older or has…
