72 Hour 2-Person Grab-&-Go Emergency Pack
This is a old post, with some new information. While I don’t live in Southern California anymore, I still deal with emergency situations. LIKE SNOW!! Please don’t let me get stuck in a snowbank anywhere……… pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. I have my bright yellow Grab-&-Go Emergency Pack in my car all winter long. You just never know.
Are you ready for an emergency?? I live in Southern California, where earthquakes are a fact of life. So, we have a great earthquake preparedness kit. BUT, we have never had a bug out bag before. THIS is an impressive and comprehensive kit!! EVERYTHING you can think of is in this 72 hour emergency kit designed for 2 people.
The 72 Hour 2-Person Grab-&-Go Pack is the next generation survival kit / bug-out-bag!! By Life+Gear
Starting with the bag itself. The bag is a water-resistant backpack with haul strap! The top is seal-able! As full as the bag is, there is still room for personal items that you and your family might also need. Which wouldn’t be much because this is an amazing bag!
For too long, consumers have had to decide between cost, quality and convenience when prepping for emergencies and disasters. This kit offers an affordable, high-quality and easily carried bag with all the essential survival items for most short-terms survival situations.
The bag is jam-packed with everything you need! INCLUDING a 45+ piece first aid kit!! There are cooking and lighting sources. Protection and shelter. There is a weather-band crank radio that is also a flashlight!! There is a 3 mode headlamp, emergency whistle w/compass, multi-purpose tool w/pliers. The packing of this bag is awesome too! Pans are packed with small items, zip bags are also full. I felt like I was pulling things from Santa’s bag!! So much stuff!!
Even the information cards that come with the Life + Gear bag is awesome!!
FIRST: Relax. Panic is one of the greatest dangers in an emergency. Panic leads to rushed decisions, increased oxygen and calorie consumption, sweat, and did we mention bad decisions? So, take a deep breath. Relax. That’s better.
SECOND: focus on what’s important- Shelter – Rescue– Water– Food. This guide tells you how to construct Shelter, seek Rescue, how to obtain and purify Water and how to prepare Food using items in this kit.
The directions continue on. Easy to read. Easy to follow and understand. I think if (heaven forbid!) I was alone I could DO THIS!!! WOW!!!
The Grab-&-Go Emergency Pack is a comprehensive, complete kit!! I truly believe this kit should be in every car!! Every garage! EVERY SINGLE emergency kit!!!
This is a Costco Exclusive!! Check the site to see if the Costco near you is on the list! THIS IS ONLY available until February 20, 2014!! SO HURRY!!!
I give my Grab & Go 2 very enthusiastic thumbs WAY WAY UP!!!

Now that I’m back at home, I really need to think about something like this. We have tornadoes here and you never know when the power might be out for a few days even if you escape the worst damage.

Reading this has made me feel so glad I live in Ireland! We have the occasional bad winter but other than that no real natural disasters.
Connie Gruning
Kate, Ireland is on my bucket list to visit. Someday I’m gonna take you to the pub for lunch. Mostly for a drink but food too.

i think that these are essential to have while camping or just on the go so if you get stranded that you will be safe. i really enjoyed your review.

This looks like an excellent pack to have. Thanks for the review.

It does look pretty high quality and fairly easy to carry. And the price is affordable compared to other emergency packs.

Wow, this is great. There seem to be a lot of emergencies in our area, it would be wise. I was just on the town Fire Dept site and they said you should always have a bag ready with important papers and a few days worth of items. It would be a good goal for next year to be prepared for emergencies.
Diane K. Brimmer
I really think this would be a great idea for my husband and I, as the winters here are so fierce at times. I will have to look into this. Thanks for the information.

This is something everyone ought to have in their car. And in the home, for that matter. You never know when you’ll need it.
Diane K. Brimmer
This is just so awesome! It would have everything you need and never thought of. Oh and we just had a Cosco come to our town, so that’s even more convenient. Would be great to have toilet paper and a deck of cards too.

thanks for this list, we really need to be prepared in case of any disaster or calamity. just to add, would suggest that we should also include a lighter (such as the windproof zippo lighter)
Andy Bland
I want this emergency pack.

We don’t have any costco’s in my area but that is a great idea! 🙂

This is awesome! We have a bug out bag prepared and this would be a nice addition to it. I live in Colorado Springs and over the past couple of years, we have been evacuated from our home FOUR times!!! So, yeah…this is great!
