Shredded Memory Foam Pillow Review

I could kick myself for not having my camera out when I opened this pillow. Actually I wish I could have had TWO cameras! One camera zoomed in on my face and one on the pillow. My initial reaction to the pillow was first ‘what the heck did I order?!’ This Shredded Memory Foam Pillow covered with a Kool-Flow Micro-Vented Bamboo Cover by Xtreme Comforts arrives packaged like a large cylinder and solid; not to mention really heavy! I was truly intrigued. So, 3-year-old Alice and I headed into the bedroom to put the new sheets on the bed and fluff my new pillow.
There is NO fluffing needed for the pillow. As soon as I unwrapped the cylinder this pillow expanded like it was ALIVE!! Alice’s head was on a swivel watching me, watching the pillow, watching me and so forth. Of course after the pillow quadrupled in size there was no way and no amount of jelly bean bribery that baby was laying her head on it for pictures! NOPE! Not gonna happen! E-V-E-R!! The video of the three of us (Alice, the pillow and I) would have won America’s Funniest Videos.

So aside from the magical way that this pillow takes shape; there really is more to love! First, it’s hypoallergenic AND Dust Mite Resistant!! This is a queen size pillow. This queen size pillow is probably the largest in our bedroom. Despite it’s size I took it camping with us and I am thrilled to report that whether I’m at home in my bed or sleeping in a tent THIS is a fantastic pillow!!

I am able to find a comfortable position to sleep and I do very little tossing and turning!! THAT’s major for me!! I also don’t wake up with a headache which is really a major perk for me. I don’t know why but I do normally wake up with a headache most mornings. We replaced our mattress thinking it was that, now I honestly believe it was the pillow. (shhhh don’t tell DH that he could have fixed this with just a pillow!! ACKKK!!)

As someone cursed with night-sweats I LOVE the fact that this pillow has a bamboo cover on the outside which keeps me cooler at night! THANK YOU for that feature Xtreme Comforts!! On that note, there is more to love! This pillow is machine washable. The ENTIRE pillow; as in LEAVE the cover on and throw the entire thing in the washing machine. Then tumble dry. DONE!! To me that’s a very awesome feature. A few more of my favorite features first is the fact this pillow is made in the USA. AND get this; this pillow has a 6 year warranty!! On a PILLOW!!! Amazing!

Pillows are 100% a personal thing. What is great for one is totally wrong for others. BUT, for me this Shredded Memory Foam Pillow is perfect. This is a large, heavy and firm pillow. This is not a feather, squishy, punch it to get it right pillow. This pillow keeps it’s shape. It’s comfortable for me to sleep on without waking up with a headache, backache or headache. This is a perfect pillow for me! Not Alice. Me!
