Trail Cam Friday January 16, 2026
This WOSPORTS Trail Cam gives me the BEST pictures!! The deer are completely fascinated with my craftroom. Please notice that one deer is licking the door. Another trail cam picture shows we had a whole herd of deer come through.
My Question For YOU
Should I move the trail cam? Would you like to see a different angle now? Let me know I will move the camera for the next Trail Cam Friday.

From The Heapets Bird Feeder
Yes, my nemesis is BACK!! Tammy, you are right… it’s now a squirrel feeder that occasionally sees birds! Ohhhhh but this bird is SO PRETTY!!! The Northern Flicker might be my winter favorite bird.
This next bird is a Black-capped Chickadee. SO DANG CUTE!!! Also, check the background. Lucille seems to have a hat on!
Next up: Tufted Titmouse.
Another AWESOME Perk of The HEAPETS Feeder?
The bird identifier. I LOVE this perk. Along with the fact the app will tell you home many visits this bird species has visited the bird feeder.

Now, if I could just get that dang squirrel to move along. Oh WAIT!! YES, there is a way. There is an audible alarm button!!

I am trying to catch a video…… He is very stubborn, so far I’ve hit the alarm 3 times and my nemesis has returned. Oh, HOLD the PHONE! Nemesis has not returned after that 3rd blare of the alarm. Head Peanut WINS …. for now. BTW, my growling at the squirrel did NOT work. I need an airhorn.

I am just amazed at all of the different birds that come to your new bird feeder. That doe looks like she’s walking right inside the house. lol

I saw some crazy videos on YouTube made by guys who put some weird food out (popcorn, cereal, etc.) and set up trail cams to see who comes to eat it, lol. You could try dumping some fruit loops out, lol. See who shows up overnight to eat it. N=Mostly the weird videos show raccoons! Raccoons will eat anything.

I usually save all my peels(apples, potatoes…. which interestingly enough….IDAHO potatoes and IDAHO deer don’t eat them!) and put them out. I hadn’t thought of cereal. Hummmmmmm Thank you for the ideas.

Oh my gosh I love this!
Connie: The Head Peanut
Thank you. ME TOO!!

I’m fine with the trail cam where it is, but if you want to experiment, go for it. I’d probably wait for better weather. I never heard of Northern Flicker, to realize they have all these polka dots! Is that a woodpecker?
Connie: The Head Peanut
Rose, YES! The Northern Flicker is a breed of woodpecker. Not a fan of woodpeckers, they are noisey and destructive. (PROBABLY bad that I’m feeding him)…. He sure is pretty though.
