I love Trail Cam Fridays. Going through 2000 pictures and videos is a little daunting. But watching these animals is fun. I have to wonder what the deer are thinking when they look in the craftroom door? Are they reincarnated crafters curious about what I am making? Or are they just nosy? Are they looking for other deer? Are they wishing they could be inside, sleeping away on Miss Bear’s bed? Look at my NEMISIS The Squirrel trying to the Heapets bird feeder! Grrrrrrrrrr On To The Heapet Bird Feeder Videos Ohhhh yes, we must start with my nemesis Mr. Squirrel. This little )#(&$)(^T couldn’t get up the pole because I added metal under the feeder….. so what did he do? Took another pole UP and scurried DOWN to the feeder. Sooooo what did I DO?? I took aluminum pans and screwed them ABOVE the feeder. This is Mr. Squirrel’s last bird feeder video. So far my redneck fix is working. HA! I win. So far. How To Become A Better Cook
Step ONE To Becoming A Better Cook I recommend scrolling Instagram endlessly. Hours and HOURS worth of scrolling. Now, this part might not directly make you a better cook. BUT, these younger influencers make everything LOOK SO EASY!! Fancy lighting, fancy editing. Y’all know me, I am editing challenged. I also do not have fancy lighting. I do on the other hand, have 34564 recipes hearted and saved about 23453 recipes. Truthfully, I will probably make 10 of the said saved/hearted recipes. Step Two To Becoming A Better Cook The shopping list. Make sure that you purchase ALL of the ingredients for those said 23453 saved recipes. Yes, by the time some of those items go bad you will forget WHAT YOU BOUGHT the items FOR!!! Personally, I have a container of cottage cheese that is well beyond it’s expiration date. BUT, I needed it for a certain recipe that is nowhere to be found. WHY, WHY, WHY don’t I start writing down the recipe, so it’s easier to find? OR EVEN print it out?! WHY!? Why? Diary of a Snow Shoveler
I thought my friends back east would appreciate this! Oh and I’m way too lazy to go in and update the dates to make it for the coming week. Diary of a Snow Shoveler December 8: 6:00 PM It started to snow. The first snow of the season and the wife and I took our cocktails and sat for hours by the window watching the huge soft flakes drift down from heaven. It looked like a Grandma Moses Print. So romantic we felt like newlyweds again. I love snow! December 9: We woke to a beautiful blanket of crystal white snow covering every inch of the landscape. What a fantastic sight! Can there be a more lovely place in the Whole World? Moving here was the best idea I’ve ever had. Shoveled for the first time in years and felt like a boy again. I did both our driveway and the sidewalks. This afternoon the snowplow came along and covered up the sidewalks and closed in the driveway, so I got to shovel again. What a perfect life. Well, SOMEONE (Let’s not point fingers here!) hit reset instead of FORMAT on the trail cam last week, so the date is wrong on a few of these video/pictures. Good thing I checked the camera earlier in the week. My Turkey’s ARE BACK!! These Guys Are Like Midnight Craft Room Auditors. There is no sneaking down to the craftroom without that feeling …………. you know…. the one that says; I wasn’t alone. Deer. Multiple. I’m beginning to think these guys think they are woodland HOA representatives conducting a surprise inspection. What were they looking for? Snacks? Possible. I do keep emergency chocolate nearby, and deer seem like the type to appreciate a good stash. Do you think they are asking each other….
