Don’t Be Alarmed!!
I don’t be alarmed, but MY CRAFT room is clean and organized. I EVEN sorted my vinyls!! WHAT?!!? Yup, yup. I also realized I have more vinyl than Michael’s Craft Store does. Oh-Oh! I guess I’ll have to make more t-shirts! Please LORD do not let Alice grow out of funny, cute, glittery t-shirts anytime soon!! PLEASE! I’ve also added Resin pouring to my list of things I always wanted to try and never did. Here is what I have learned. Ummmm bubbles are NOT easy to get rid of!! Stir too fast. BUBBLES. Pour too fast. BUBBLES. LOOK at the resin as it dries. BUBBLES. So I will be You-Tubing Resin pouring this weekend. My first try I made book marks and they came out sorta okay. Since my sister and I were raised on a HUGE rabbit farm (neither of us are fond of the little critters) I thought this would be funny. Then I did skulls. These are supposed to be crystal clear. My New Craft Room!
Are you ready for the big reveal for my craft room/home office? I am finally 100% moved into my new craft room. IT’s HUGE!! This room was originally designed for my Mom, who some of you may know, passed away almost a year ago. Yes, this room is apartment sized! It also means that I have projects spread from one end to the other. Since the room is in the basement, I can leave everything spread out from end to end. I don’t have to put away ANYTHING!!! Trust me, I am spread out from END to END!! This room just makes me giddy! I have family pictures lining the entrance to Connie’s Chicest She Shed/Room. On the right, I have my sewing machine and my next sewing project all laid out. I decided aprons for Selena, Alice and I. So far the material is still waiting to be washed. Which is another perk! The laundry room IS in the room right off the She Shed. I have my Cricut Explore Air 2 on the other side with my heat press ready to start at a moment’s notice. The Craft Room Of My Dreams!!
It’s happening!! It’s really happening!! The Craft Room of my dreams!! We sat down with Suzanne over at the Ponderay Home Depot and started designing my craft room! I can actually SEE it!! Now fast forward to 2024. WHAT a HAPPY mess!! But, it really is organized. I promise. I can create and leave the mess and it doesn’t bother anyone! I have to tell you Suzanne is amazing! She seems to just KNOW what to add and where to add cupboards, drawers and shelves. So, here is my craft room now. Just a plain empty (sorta) room. Here is the first picture as you come down the stairs: I love the wall sconces (thank you Rosie!! I was hungry!. I adore the view straight ahead!! To the left; that first door is the laundry room. Side note here; the house is huge! The rooms are ginormous! The laundry room? Nope, it’s the size of a small closet. I would really love to sit down with the people that designed this house, I have sooooo many questions!! Aren’t the colors perfect??
