Y’all know me, I love my beauty products!! Dr Song 50% Lactic Acid Gel Peel is at the top of my all time favorites list. I LOVE THIS STUFF!!!!

Dr. Song’s is a full 50% lactic acid peel. This is by far the most professional peel I have ever had! BONUS I did it myself and in my own bathroom!

Since this is a professional Lactic Acid Gel Peel it’s strong! The directions say you have to work up to the full-time. No kidding! My first peel I didn’t even make it a full minute before I had to rinse my face!!

HOW TO USE

FIRST and foremost! DO a Skin Patch Test FIRST!!!  IMPROPER USE OF CHEMICAL PEELS CAN CAUSE SEVERE BURNS, PLEASE BE CAREFUL! Always test on a small patch of skin before applying.

Next warning!! Sunburn Alert: Peels can increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterward.

Now on to the directions

Step 1: Cleanse the face, neck, and gently pat dry.

Step 2: Apply a small amount with a brush or cotton ball to the area and leave on as needed. I found the brush works best. I used a new flat, wide, paint brush from Michael’s.  It works perfectly. Since I’m trying to rid my hands of age spots I use an eye dropper amount on the back of my hand and dip my brush into the Dr.Song Lactic Acid from there. This is working great for me!! Since the Lactic Acid Gel is thick so it doesn’t run, it stays where I put it.  I LOVE this stuff!!

Leave the peel on your face for 1 to 2 minutes.  But work up gradually. After your time is up rinse your face with water and pat dry. I do my peel before my shower in the evenings. So I rinse in the shower.

You only need to do a peel every 7 days. IF your skin is really pink afterwards you might want to do it less often and or leave the peel on for less time.  Remember, these are general guidelines, and everyone’s skin is different. Peel times vary from person to person. I lasted less than a minute my first time, you may go the full minute. I’m still only at a minute and a half.  You decide which is best for you!! It can only be learned through experience and patience!!  It’s also another reason to do a skin patch tests!!

PRECAUTIONS

Be sure to keep the peel at least a quarter of an inch away from the eyes and mucus membranes.
If skin irritation occurs remove the product by neutralizing with cool water immediately and consult a physician.
Do not apply the peel more than once in a 7 day period
Do not expose your face to the sun for 24 hours before or after the application of the peel. YOU WILL BURN!!! Which in turns means more age spots!! TRUST ME!!
Do not apply the peel to the skin that has been waxed or shaved within 24 hours
When using the peel a stinging sensation may occur, this is normal
