Ellie’s Best Fractionated Coconut Oil Review

If you are a follower of my blog you know that I am a huge fan of aromatherapy. I was excited to be given the opportunity to review Ellie’s Best Fractionated Coconut Oil. You can use this oil for so many things! First this comes in a large 16 ounce bottle. There is even a pump included which was a great perk.

As the name implies, Fractionated coconut oil is a fraction of the coconut oil from which almost all the long chain triglycerides are removed, thus leaving mainly the medium-chain triglycerides and making it an absolutely saturated oil. This saturation gives it a very, very long shelf life and greatly increased stability.

In addition, fractionating raises the comparative concentration of Capric acid and Caprylic acid, thus giving it more of antioxidant and disinfecting effect.

The oil has absolutely no fragrance at all which I like because I use this for my aromatherapy oils.

My favorite use for Fractionated Coconut oil is using it as a natural shaving lotion. Apply a half pump full to the area for a wonderfully smooth surface for razors, my skin is nourished and it soothes my skin as I shave. I promise you this is the closest shave ever!! So close that I have to shave less often; which is a HUGE PERK in my book!  For my own personal use I have a small container that I add my Coconut Oil and a few drops of Lavender Oil not only does it smell divine but it’s also healing too.

My second favorite use is for my feet. A half a pump massaged into my feet; especially my heels, cover with socks and the next morning you will have soft, soft, soft feet!!

Another great use for Coconut oil is to fade stretch marks.

However, Coconut oil is best known for it’s use as a beauty treatment. Rub it on your skin or on your hair; because Coconut Oil penetrates deeply, nourishes, moisturizes, and softens especially your skin. It penetrates quickly because of the high protein content, which is believed to help repair the skin.

Use it on cracked lips, discolored skin patches, bonus you can even use this to remove your makeup.

Coconut Oil is 100% an awesome product to have on hand!

WHINES

This Coconut Oil is very thick and you really have to massage it in well. My skin feels very moisturized all day long, but at first it does feels very greasy or oily. Personally, I think it’s unrealistic to think it wouldn’t be, after all it is an oil.  I use my Fractionated Coconut Oil mostly at night before bed so my oil has plenty of time to absorb into my skin so for ME personally this isn’t an issue. I just wanted you to be aware.
