It is so cold that I hate walking outside. But work prevails and every morning, despite the snow and cold, I go to work from 8am til 8pm. Money I have but time I don’t. Adult life is hard.

  • Cheryl Reinhardt

My day has been productive,,,, I helped my husband cut some material for our house in the shop,,,, and I am working on a cross stitch project and now I am entering sweepstakes.

  • Carol S.

Today went by so fast, not sure where the time went but its nightfall already! Had a great day, nice and quiet all by myself. I like having quiet time all by myself at times, great time for meditating.

  • Sarah L

OK, so I can’t tell time (or dates). Forgot about the leap year extra day. Ends TOMORROW.
Finished house sitting with no problems.

  • Barbara Long

My day isn’t going to bad for a Monday. The sun is shining, all the snow melted yesterday so it’s nice seeing grass today!

  • Heather E

Woke up at 4 am to the neighbor pounding on our door to alert us that we may need to evacuate due to a fire on the block behind us. Sounds like a disabled veteran and his wife may not have made it out…

  • Marnie G (Derrick Todd)

My day is going pretty good. We had really nice weather so it was nice to get some fresh air. I’m glad it is finally warming up. I can’t wait for spring.

  • Sarah L

Forgot that this was ending before I return home tomorrow so I’m doing it right now. (you can pick me again and give me the right GC this time….)

  • Mai T.

Finally, they day that only comes every 4 years is here. Facebook says to make the most of it but how the hell would anyone make the most of it if it falls on a Monday?

  • Laura J

Oh had a good day today! Got alot done…laundry…baking….all that fun stuff. 🙂 Just relaxing now and watching the Oscars!

  • Carol S.

Such a beautiful day here, the temp was in high 40’s when the sun was out. It was so nice to go out and smell the fresh air, almost like spring. It felt good to go out without having to put a scarf over my face as the cold air bothers my lungs with my respiratory problems.

  • Juanita May

My washing machine broke down, so I ordered anew part. It got here yesterday, so we replaced it today and I am catching up on laundry.

  • Tamra Phelps

Well, today was a long, sort of boring Sunday. I basically did nothing, lol. I watched cartoons with my nephews, fiddled on the computer to avoid watching cartoons & now I’m watching Big Bang Theory reruns. Oh, the excitement of my life, lol!

  • Shirley Smith

We had a wonderful but quiet day at our house. Hubby is sick and our youngest Son has been playing playstation with his friends. And I have been in the Kitchen making Homemade Chicken Vegetable soup. Now to keep everyone else from getting sick would be awesome.

  • Beth Minyard

My day has been pretty rough! I’m on day 5 of quitting smoking and it’s been the worst day so far! I haven’t had enough to do to keep myself distracted.

  • Sue E

Even though it is wet, gloomy & cold, I had the most amazing day with my husband!
He took me to one of my favorite restaurants & I had one of my favorite foods!!
I am so blessed & thankful!!

  • Jill Jackson

Today has been awful. It’s to hot outside and I’m miserable. I’ve also been looking a mortgage companies and am depressed now

  • Terri Irvin

My day is going to be terrific. I am planning a Academy Awards party with my close friends and we will be eating Italian tonight.

  • Dorothy Teel

Busy cleaning up the mess from cooking breakfast, the only day of the week that I make a full breakfast with eggs, toast, bacon or pancakes and sausage, today we had bacon, was Farmland thick sliced was very good, used my left over stale bread and feed the outside birds, they really like sundays at my house..

  • KATE SARSFIELD

We’ve decided that today’s the day for starting to go through the stuff in Dad’s study/computer room/office. Honestly, he was such a hoarder, I’m really not looking forward to it!

  • Mai T.

I can’t wait to renew my contract so that I could renew my visa to travel again. Jobs are hard to find nowadays. It’s nice to here my company is doing well and that I get to extend my contract.

  • Tamra Phelps

Ah, Saturday. I’m eating bacon jerky & watching Spongebob (the latter not by choice, lol!) My youngest nephew has to watch every SpongeBob 14 times!

  • Laura J

Oh my day is going good today!!! Having a nice relaxing day…so nice and warm today!!! Then the cold front comes back tomorrow! 🙂

  • Dorothy Teel

Saturday here, just finished washing clothes now in the process of putting them up, it has been so dry here lately we are on high risk of fires, I hope none start because the wind is really blowing.

  • KATE SARSFIELD

Well, it’s Saturday and all I have lined up is getting my hair cut and buying some cat food! Nice to have ‘nothing’ days every now & then!

  • Mai T.

The boyfriend had a nightmare so he woke me up with his scream and I can’t sleep again. So I woke up early on a Saturday morning to do laundry and prepare myself mentally for a long restaurant day ahead.

  • Carol S.

Beautiful day, bright sun but cold temps. Amazing how the sun can change ones mood. I got so much accomplished before the weekend! Bring it on.

  • Dorothy Teel

My day is going great, tire, I went to the grocery store this morning, and spent a lot of money, but I had a great day, I enjoy shopping by my self and it gives me ideas of things I can make or eat.. having fresh burgers tonight, and we wnjoy them.

  • Tamra Phelps

Well, my knee is a little better, but I have 2 sick nephews spending the day here instead of in school. (I’m trying not to get too close to them, you know??) Thank God it’s Friday!

  • Marty C.

Stuffed up and short of breath from catching the latest ick my daughter brought home from the seething toddler petri dish that is preschool 🙂

  • KATE SARSFIELD

I’m going to be a nun! It’s not everyday you can say that but that’s my character for the upcoming musical Oliver! I’m delighted as it means that I don’t have to do anything too energetic although the choreographer knows I can do the splits so she might wrangle a way to get that into one of the numbers!

  • Laurie Nykaza

I just cleaned out my pantry today and threw out lots of food from 2015 had much more than I thought so I filled up my trash bin .I’m so lucky my husband helped me out.

  • Carol S.

Quiet and dark day today. We had a thunderstorm during the night which is very odd for this time of year. Lost power but not for long. I didn’t think it would ever stop raining! Our ground is bare which is also very odd for this time of year. Flowers are coming through the ground which are 2 and 3 months early. Should be an interesting spring and summer.

  • Tamra Phelps

It’s been one of those days. You know, a bummer from the first minute you wake up! I got up way too early since Mom had dental surgery this morning. Then my knee started ‘acting up.’ It just sort twangs, lol, & you feel like it is not going to hold you up. So, I had to get out the old walker just to get around the house. Hopefully, this will only last a day or two.

    • KATE SARSFIELD

Have you got a knee brace? I dislocated my knee a couple of years ago & essentially nothing was holding it together! The surgery last year has sorted that thank heavens but if I’m doing anything energetic I still wear a brace just in case. You can pick them up online really cheaply and it gives you that confidence back.

      • Tamra Phelps

We do have a few braces around. I might need to get one out! Usually, this goes away after a few days, but in the meantime it’s a real pain in the behind. Basically, I just don’t have any cartilage left in my right knee, so I’m going to have to bite the bullet & have something done.

        • KATE SARSFIELD

And the sooner the better! I was putting off having mine fixed because of Dad’s health problems. Little did we know that a couple of weeks after my op he’d die, leaving me to care for Mum. There’s never going to be a perfect time to have it done so just go for it girl!

  • Dorothy Teel

Being from tornado land (Oklahoma) I just want to say how sorry I am for all the tornados that occurred last night in Pennsylvania and even the day before in Florida, they are very scary and you don’t get a lot of warning that one is coming, I hate tornado season here, but we always listen to our weather men and hopefully are well prepared.

  • KATE SARSFIELD

I’ve just got back from collecting Mum from hospital & she’s zonked out in her armchair! We won’t get any results till next week but in the meantime she’s got rugby matches on the telly to look forward to and voting in Ireland’s General Election tomorrow to pick a new Government. I might go for a nap myself actually, I can feel my eyes getting heavy!

  • Heather E

Scale moved down 1 pound. I’ve got my earbuds in and jammin’ at work. Looking forward to lunch with a friend. It’s gonna be a great day! 🙂

  • Laura

My day has been pretty rough today. Still trying to recover from my surgery and keep myself not completely bored out of my mind at home lol.

  • Mai T.

Found a music night of a good band that I want to attend on 9.4. I’m so excited for it already. Rather boring life is getting into me again. Changes are needed but money is short.

  • Rachel O'Reilly

We have had a pj day! One of my toddler twins had gastro, so we spent the day watching tv (Peter Kay’s Car Share, And Then There Were None and Dickensian – yep, I’m English 🙂

  • em

Day went by slow in the morning then it picked up and it was like a whirlwind. Caught a headache midday and then felt feverish by the end of the work day.

  • Tamra Phelps

What a day. The wind has been crazy today. I looked out the window earlier only to see my niece’s & nephews’ trampoline go flying across their yard & behind their neighbor’s house. My brother was running behind it, lol, trying to catch up. According to my nephews, it blew across the street & through 2 yards before it hit a pole & stopped. It took my brother, his wife & a few neighbors to carry it back…so that was one crazy wind!

  • Carol S.

Today went very fast for some reason. Snowed this morning and now we have heavy rain. Hopefully the temp will stay above freezing so this all won’t turn to ice!

  • KATE SARSFIELD

I’m having a quiet day so far as I’m really tired from visiting Mum in hospital. The sun is shining here so in a bit I’ll walk to Dad’s grave & take him some fresh daffodils from the garden. Tonight I have another rehearsal for Oliver! the musical (had 2 hours of choir last night!).

  • Carol S.

Wonderful day, so much accomplished and it makes me feel so good. Storm coming in for tomorrow and then turning to all rain for Thursday. I can see mud season coming!

  • Dorothy Teel

Told you about the changing Oklahoma weather today it is in the low 40′ raining windy grey and just feels miserable, at least it is not snowing and the ground and all is to warm for snow since we were in the 80’s end of last week..lol Go Oklahoma

  • Tamra Phelps

It’s been an odd day. My 10 year old nephew was sick, so he stayed with us today instead of going to school. My Mom’s physical therapist hasn’t showed since last Wednesday…and she hasn’t called or texted about why. I’m actually starting to worry about her. She usually calls even if she’s just running late. Hope she’s OK.

  • Carol S.

Another great day here! Quiet and busy, worked on the paperwork and billing today and finished all – woohoo! Nice sunny day but all that will change tomorrow night and be messy through Thursday.

  • Sarah L

Good swim class. One lady forgot her swimsuit. Luckily I keep a spare in my car and it fit her fine so she could join the class.
Got my boots out since we’re having snow right now thru the morning.

  • KATE SARSFIELD

Well, we left the house at 7am, drove to Dublin, Mum had the procedure but the surgeon decided to keep her in for a couple of days while they “run some more tests”. Not liking the sound of that at all but she’s keeping strong. As she said when I left her there ‘look on the bright side Kate: at least you won’t have to do any cooking for a few days!’

  • Mai T.

Another Monday is here with work cramps and business. I don’t know what to wish but for my dad’s reply on the matter of summer travel. I hope he agrees to travel with mom.

  • Carol S.

Today was great! Spent quality time with the husband and the weather was wonderful. Temps almost hit 50 and the sun was so warm and bright. Most of the ice melted and actually the yard is quite muddy! Sure signs of Spring – YAY! My favorite season!

  • Tamra Phelps

Well, my laptop’s charger/adapter died, so the day just started bad! Oh, well, it lasted three years, lol, so not bad! It is rainy today, so not much going on. I guess it is just a gloomy day.

    • KATE SARSFIELD

Count yourself lucky you don’t have a kitten who seems to be addicted to electric flexes! He’s gone through 2 phone chargers & the toaster (thankfully not plugged in at the time)!

      • Tamra Phelps

Lol, we once had a dog that decided to chew on the cord between the air conditioner & the house. That 3 a.m. bark woke the whole house up! (He was fine!)

  • Dorothy Teel

Was in 80’s yesterday and sunny today it is in 60’s cold and gray and a chance of rain coming in late tonight, that is Oklahoma for you weather changes rapidly, at least it is not a tornado,

  • Kristen

How my day is going: I’m pleased that my cold seems to be improving, but sad that I seemed to have passed it along to one of my family members 🙁

  • KATE SARSFIELD

Not a whole lot happening today, mostly just getting ready for tomorrow morning. I’m taking Mum to a hospital in Dublin for a procedure and we’ll have to leave at 7a.m. Unfortunately her latest batch of tests have revealed another cancerous tumour but we’re not letting this get us down and trying to stay positive (of course the occasional treat like a takeaway or bottle of wine is helping!).

  • Mai T.

I feel the urge of leaving this country again. The boredom of a routine is real. I read about traveling every day and I regret not having more competency to be the better one of the society.

  • Sarah L

Went to training for the caucus coming up 3/1. They were expecting about 50 people but 100 showed up. Shows the interest in this campaign.

  • Carol S.

We have had a nice quiet relaxing Saturday. Not to often we get away with that on a Saturday. We received 4 inches of snow last night so I’m sure it has kept everyone inside today. It has been quite an enjoyable day.

  • ginette4

Day is going great..my house is nice and clean, the weather outside is gorgeous..actually had the front door open and the heat off..it’s gorgeous

  • Tamra Phelps

It’s been a nice day. It’s strangely warm today, about 70 degrees, and my nephews are playing basketball with their cousins outside. My niece came over to bake a cake for her little cousin who turns 7 today. So, it’s been great today.

  • Dorothy Teel

Cleaned the bathroom, and now I am just sitting around cruising the web and my favorite blog sites, is in the low 80’s today, I even have the air conditioner on and shorts, sure does not seem like February and next week we have a chance of snow, who would of known

  • KATE SARSFIELD

Up early (ugh!) to ring my mechanic about my car and how much it’s going to cost: good news (yay!)! Phew, I really thought something major had happened. Anyway, plans for the rest of the day include the usual household chores (ugh!) followed by a couple of rugby matches on telly (yay!) and then pizza as a treat!

  • Mai T.

The boyfriend left early for his errands so I got the whole bed for myself. I went out to eat cake with friends before starting the working day so it was not too bad.

  • Sarah at Journeys of The Zoo

Honestly, my day isn’t going to well and that’s saying a lot for me because I’m an eternal optimist. I’m trying not to stress about the things that I can not control and reminding myself that everyone is healthy and tomorrow is another day.

    Besos, Sarah
    Journeys of The Zoo

  • Heather E.

My day is going well. I had a productive day at work, and now it’s time to relax with my new Amazon Fire. 🙂 Hope your day is going just as well!

  • Sarah L

Great swim class with 2 new people. Then lunch at Smashburger. Then I went to Walmart to spend the $50 I won from here. Got new Brita pitcher, extra filters, spicy mustard and BBQ sauce. Thanks Connie!!!

  • Carol S.

Today went great! Didn’t do much, went through my sewing room and rearranged and organized a few things. Now I know once again what I have and was able to make a few plans on using the materials I have at hand. Maybe I’ll get an early start on Christmas gifts.

  • Tamra Phelps

It’s been a fairly nice day around here. Temperatures were in the 60s (bizarre) & it was really windy, but at least it was not cold. There wasn’t much going on today. Mom’s physical therapist didn’t show up or call, which is odd, so hoping nothing is wrong with her.

  • ginette4

My day is going well..my Mom came to visit today..I missed her so much while she was away..feeling blessed that I can still talk to her

  • Kristen

Well, I’m still smiling….but I’m sorry to say my day is going rotten because I have a terrible cold and I feel miserable! 🙁

  • Dorothy Teel

Just sitting here watching the bird out the window and eating peanut butter toast and it is so good, thank you for allowing me this quiet moment in time oh yeah it is Dark Chocolate Dream and it is so good.

  • KATE SARSFIELD

There I was heading out for an early Dr’s appointment when white smoke/steam started pouring out of the engine! I managed to get a tow to the local garage & keeping my fingers crossed it’s nothing too serious. I just can’t afford any big expense at the moment.

  • Laura

My day hasn’t been going too well. Still struggling with some medical issues. I’m supposed to be going in for surgery next week. Prayers.

  • Carol S.

Great day, all housework caught up! Works out great, should be a nice relaxing enjoyable weekend. Maybe I can get some sewing or knitting in.

  • Dorothy Teel

Today, I have been washing sheets got new mattress pads for my guest room and is in the process of cleaning the room up and getting ready to remake the bed, when we have no guests my grand daughters use it for playing, reading and just girlie things.

  • KATE SARSFIELD

We had a really frosty start to the day but then the sun came out so I washed all the windows (outside). Now I can see the cobwebs in the corners of every room! A woman’s work …

  • Heather E

It’s pretty early, but I have already done my 3 mile walk for the day. And it’s Friday eve, so already looking forward to the weekend!

  • Carol S.

It was a great day today. Sad to see the rain took most all the snow away, but it was a bright sunny and warm day, almost hit 40. Went shopping online today and bought twice as much as I had planned, but spent half as much as I expected — so yeah, it was a great day!

  • Tamra Phelps

Well, school was in session today, so no babysitting, lol! Yay! No SpongeBob until 3:30. I just keep telling myself that Spring is coming!

  • Heather E

Today is a good day. 🙂 A new number on the scale today. One that marks the halfway point from where I began to being only “overweight” rather than obese. It’s a good feeling…

  • KATE SARSFIELD

I’m just back after a 6-hour round trip to a hospital in Dublin & the first thing my surgeon said when he saw me was ‘Wow, you’ve lost weight!’. Love that man!

  • Carol S.

Today was a really productive day, inside anyway. Weird weather, we started out with 4 inches of snow, then it turned to freezing rain and by late afternoon the temp reached 45 and it started pouring rain and is still raining. Nice day to stay in and do some cooking.

  • Kristen

My day is going great. It’s gorgeous here…in the 70s all day….I’m at a coffee shop with my best friend…drinking iced tea. 🙂

  • Tamra Phelps

I’m going a little stir crazy from being cooped up & snowed in with a 6 year old, a 10 year old & a 12 year old the last several days! If my niece & nephews don’t have school, they spend the day here & remind me how lucky I am to not have to watch SpongeBob all day most days, lol.

  • Heather E

My daughter is sick, which is a bummer. My husband and I “disagreed” throughout the night via text, another bummer. But today is a new day. 🙂 I got notified that someone I referred signed up for my internet company, so I get $50 off my bill, which is AWESOME cuz I only pay $40/month!

  • KATE SARSFIELD

It’s very windy, with the sort of cold that makes your nose red & your eyes run! I have to go to Dublin tomorrow for x-rays on my leg (can’t believe it’s a year since my big op!) and a chat with my surgeon. I’m just checking the tyres, oil & water while there’s still a bit of daylight left then I’ll get ready for a rehearsal of Oliver! later tonight.

  • Mai T.

I just came back from a 10-day vacation and it feels nice to be back to the office with the nice colleagues. Hopefully, this feeling will stay long.

  • Tamra Phelps

Winter is going to drive me batty. It snowed last night, but it’s supposed to rain today, which will get rid of the snow (yay)–but then it will snow again tonight (boo.) I’ve had enough! I want sunshine!

  • Carol S.

Much better than yesterday! Was able to get our new furniture delivered and have the livingroom all rearranged. So glad that purchase is done and out of the way. No matter what brand you are looking at there is way to much furniture on the market to chose from today!

  • Heather E

My day is going great! Took the day off to spend with my daughter, since she doesn’t have school. We checked out a new coffee house, took the van to the shop for a repair, did a little shopping. Now we’re heading out for a pedicure. Then I have to work for a few hours at my decond job and we will finish off the evening by FINALLY seeing Star Wars.

  • KATE SARSFIELD

Not much happening in this little village. I went into town last night & got a bit of grocery shopping done. Lots of red roses were unsold & reduced in price so I bought 2 big bunches, one for Mum & the other for Dad’s grave. He was a keen rose grower and knew all their little foibles.

  • Denise E.

Things could be better around here. Husband is on his way to the doctor after having been hospitalized over the weekend with what I suspect is stress-related illness. All sorts of nasty things going on in the family and with his workplace. It’s just all too much! 🙁

  • Carol S.

My day has been horrible, it was 15 below all night and the furnace stopped working around 4 am. The repair man came around 2 pm and had to thaw the fuel line. On top of that the internet has been out all day and now it is working off and on and is frustrating. Ugh! At least we are warm once again and now its time for bed and a good nights sleep!

  • Tamra Phelps

Well, it’s snowing again. That means no school tomorrow, so that means kids here by 7 a.m. Right now, all 3 (niece & nephews) are here while their Mom & Dad go to a funeral, so I guess my day could best be described as noisy!

  • Dorothy Teel

We go to San Diego yearly to see my grand sons and son and daughter in law yearly, have never went whale watching see the Captain Hornblower boats on the bay all the time, but never there during whale trips, but they have a wonderful dinner and cruise at nights which is a lot of fun

  • Dorothy Teel

Today is Valentines day, it is grey and drizzly, but me and the hubby are having a great day, going out to eat tomorrow (it is our 49th anniversary) and way to crowded to go out to eat on Valentines Day.

  • Heather E

Woke up to yellow roses from my daughter. Brought tears to my eyes. My bouquet was made of yellow roses when I married her daddy…

  • KATE SARSFIELD

I’ve been reading some of the other posts here about the freezing weather & last night I started watching a new crime series on BBC4. Set in Iceland, with amazing scenery but awful wintry conditions, I shall never complain of being cold ever again! Other than that just Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

  • Carol S.

My day has been absolutely COLD COLD COLD! It is 13 below with wind chill of 20-30 below. The wind is howling and my bones ache from the cold. I have been curled up with a blanket all day! I’ve done alot of crocheting to pass the time, I am so glad I did not need to go out in the cold today.

  • KATE SARSFIELD

Another grey day here in S.E. Ireland but very mild so I’m pottering in the garden (I like to potter!) then after lunch I’m taking Mum to put flowers on Dad’s grave for Valentine’s Day (together 60 years & it’s only now that it’s beginning to hit her that he’s not coming back).

  • Joy

My day was going fine until I found out my hours at work are being cut.
Argh, great way to start the weekend. So now I just trying to get out there
and do some surveys and enter some contests. Hope you have a great weekend!

  • Tamra Phelps

Wow, I’m tired. I had to get up way too early this morning, & when that happens I just drag through the whole day. I hate that draggy feeling.

  • Carol S.

A cold and lazy day for me! Thinking of you Connie in your 80 degree weather while its 5 below here! We were really spoiled having all those 40 degree days. I keep thinking Spring! It’s not that far away.

  • KATE SARSFIELD

I’ve just been watching a pair of rooks ‘billing & cooing’! This pair have been together for 3 years and still maintain this close bond – wonderful to watch! Other than that not a lot happening today. Thunder storm & a real downpour in the middle of the night that kept me awake so I’m feeling a bit groggy. Hey ho!

  • Heather E

I used to think that people who got up at 4 or 5 am in order to exercise before work were crazy. Now I am thoroughly convinced! #I’mcrazyfosho

  • Tamra Phelps

Well, the day has been pretty good. It really is a nice day for February: cold, but blue skies. I just can’t seem to get out of third or fourth gear today, lol. I just feel draggy. Oh, well, at least I don’t need to go anywhere important!

  • KATE SARSFIELD

I’ve just been looking at Connie’s pix from her whale watching trip with Alice and I’m mad jealous! One look out my window & all is grey: freezing sleet, hailstones, grey, heavy clouds, a bitter east wind and damp that gets into your bones. What a change from yesterday!

  • Carol S.

Great day, completed my to do list and more! Yay for me! It was a bright sunny day today, nearly blinding with the new snow. Still cold though, but Spring is around the corner! I love Spring, its my favorite time of year.

  • Tamra Phelps

Oh, please, make the snow go away & the kids all go back to school & Winter end, lol. It’s not even that much snow…just enough to cancel school because the roads are icy. Sooooo tired of Winter. I NEED some Spring!

  • KATE SARSFIELD

The storm blew itself out last night & thousands are without power today but … drum roll please … the sun is shining & it’s glorious outside. I’ve already done some planting & weeding & hung out a ton of laundry – happy days!

  • Carol S.

I have been so cold today, the temp reached 20 today. We received just a couple inches of snow during the night and another inch this afternoon, more to come tomorrow. I accomplished alot today though, figured I’d be alot warmer up running around doing stuff rather than sitting and doing nothing!

  • Sarah L

Quiet day at home. Got email from the new person doing the Hort Therapy program at DBG and signed up for a bunch of new tours to give.

  • Tamra Phelps

Well, we got some snow last night, just enough to cancel school. So, we did some babysitting today (just a few hours.) Now, I’m just staying in & staying warm.

  • KATE SARSFIELD

It’s stopped raining but apparently it’s the calm before the storm so I’m dashing around getting laundry and errands done before Storm Imogen hits!

  • Heather E

I came home sick from work yesterday, but am feeling better this morning. Got my 3 mile walk in and am ready to face the day.

  • Tamra Phelps

Geeze, in Kentucky we’re back to Winter. (we had a few nice warm days!) Now it’s gray & rainy…and snow is headed our way. I need some Springtime!!

  • Carol S.

Today is just to short for me. I stayed up way to late last night and slept in this morning. Thats all it takes to mess my day up! I am so angry with myself, I have no ambition and have accomplished absolutely nothing!

  • KATE SARSFIELD

I’ve spent the morning comparing prices for car insurance which is due on Valentine’s Day of all days! My company wants to charge me just over €500 but I’ve just got a quote of €284 from another company. What a difference & for exactly the same cover! Time to investigate further.

  • Natalie

I am really tired today from doing a lot of skiing yesterday. I wish it was still the weekend! I am looking forward to some time off soon.

  • Heather E

Getting some stuff accomplished, so I guess it’s going okay. Oh! And I found out my tax refund will be deposited on Wednesday, so I’m pretty excited about that!

  • Tamra Phelps

Today has been a typical slow Sunday. We have been hanging around the house, flipping channels on the TV & avoiding all things Super Bowl, lol. (Not a football fan.)

  • KATE SARSFIELD

Well, it’s Ireland, so of course it’s raining! But while we don’t ‘do’ Super Bowl over here, there are a couple of terrific Rugby matches on telly later – Wales (Mum’s Welsh) against Ireland (where we’ve lived for years). Expect VERY loud singing of the national anthems & probably quite a few expletives in both Welsh agus as Gaeilge freisin!

  • lissa crane

My day is going great! I had a wonderful breakfast with my hubs and four kiddo’s! Soon we will begin getting ready for our little Super Bowl party by cleaning the house and making a ton of junk food for the big gam!

  • Carol S.

My day went great, and a very productive one also. The sun was shining bright and with all the newly fallen snow it was quite blinding. Now for a nice quiet evening with a cup of tea.

  • Tamra Phelps

Today has been pretty good. I slept late, so it started good, lol! It’s sunny, & not too cold for a Winter’s day. My youngest nephew couldn’t care less that he lost his basketball game (he’s 6; not as competitive as his older brother…yet!) And Mom made brownies. It’s all good.

  • KATE SARSFIELD

I’m a wee bit tired today but that’s what you get when you stay awake till 6am to finish a book! I’ve read the Millenium trilogy (Girl With The Dragon Tattoo etc) since the New Year & just HAD to finish it! If the rain eases up a bit I’ll go to put fresh flowers on Dad’s grave later but other than that not a whole lot happening!

  • Tamra Phelps

Well, today has been one of those days where everybody feels draggy & you hope no one is coming down with something. (It doesn’t help me feel hopeful when my nephew comes in from school & announces, ‘I puked at school today.’ Oh, great…lol)

  • KATE SARSFIELD

My sister has borrowed my car ‘cos hers is in the menders so apart from a mad dash around the house doing chores this morning, all I’m left with is to sit here looking out at another grey, wet day. I feel guilty I haven’t been to Dad’s grave in a while but it’s just been too wet.

  • Carol S.

I am so glad to be inside today, it is snowing and accumulating fast. So glad I’m not out driving in this. Almost the end of winter and we finally get a nice blanket of fluffy snow. But its dark and dreary also so I think it deserves another day curled up with a good book!

  • Cathy French

Well today I’m stressed out. Just found out that my mammogram showed something and I have to go back for an ultrasound.

  • Heather E

Yesterday was payday from one job, today was payday from another. Between those and selling a gift card I had and was never gonna use, I was able to pay all my bills this week. That makes this a good day. 🙂

  • Tamra Phelps

Argh! Some one down the street has been doing something since 7:30 this morning & it makes a mechanical, droning noise. I have no idea what it is, but there are several big trucks down there. I hope it stops soon. I am a woman on the edge of a nervous breakdown, lol. It’s not loud, just like a weedwhacker going all day.

  • Natalie

I am having a pretty good day so far. It is not going to snow like it did Tuesday, which was terrible to drive in. I hope to go skiing this weekend!

  • V Lapierre

So far my day is starting off good. It is raining, but it’s better than more snow.. Really can’t complain or compare it to last year, atleast not yet, seeing winter isn’t done.perhaps we’ll get lucky..

  • Carol S.

Early morning, guess I went to bed to early last night. I’m sure I will be feeling it this afternoon and want to take a nap! The weather is suppose to be bright sun today with temps possibly hitting 50. The driveway is so muddy, really nothing like winter is supposed to be for this area.

  • KATE SARSFIELD

Another nothing kind of day; last night’s choir practice was cancelled at the last minute & I was really looking forward to it, so I suppose I feel a bit let down by that. The weather is really mild and VERY still, almost eerie. Wonder if that means snow is on the way?

  • Kelly Brown

My day is going good…we had a staff meeting after school and then I had to get my hair done. Tired of course after a full day of Kindergarteners!

  • Krystal Waters

Just feeling clumsy lately, I have one finger all wrapped up almost needed stitches and then cut my thumb on a box today. I need to slow down and pay more attention to what I’m doing.

  • Deborah Wellenstein

My day is going great! Why not? The sun finally came out, but I would be happy if it was cloudy/rainy/snowy too!

  • Tamra Phelps

Well, we had a nice sunny day today, the 5th in a row. Temps were even getting up to 70. But tomorrow we go back to Winter, lol. The highs are only in the 40s. Blech.

  • Dawn Monzu

My day is going…well, ok I guess. I should be appreciative, I woke up today!!! I am trying to find a job, but it is a little more difficult than I was hoping. God will see me through! God bless everyone!

  • Heather E

Small victory in the fight for what’s best for our daughter today. Fighting for her can be exhausting, but it is sooooo worth it.

  • Carol S.

So far so good, the snow has just started falling. Supposed to be miserable today, freezing rain, rain, snow – just wish we could have had a winter period. It is odd to know its February and to look outside and see the grass is odd. We usually have snow up to our first floor windows by now. So many ski areas and winter sporting shops are hurting this year.

  • KATE SARSFIELD

Just a nothing kind of day today so far. Housework, cooking, cleaning – bleh!! But I’ve got some colourful polyanthus for planting so on with the woolly hat & scarf and out I go!

  • Laura

My day has not been a good day to say the least. Spent most of the day in the hospital. Now I’m home, but heartbroken. I won’t go into details. 🙁

  • Carol S.

Today went great, accomplished alot with house cleaning. Storm coming in tomorrow so I know it will be dark and dreary. So now I won’t feel guilty if I just want to curl up on the couch with a good book because the house work is done!

  • Tamra Phelps

Well, the DirecTV guy got here on time & fixed the box, so it’s been pretty good so far today! Let’s hope it stays good!

  • Edye

My day is going good. It’s raining and thundering while I’m checking my emails and listening to Bieber’s new album.

    Blessings,
    Edye

  • Heather E

Feeling a little frustrated that I still don’t have my tax return filed. And that I’ve hit a plateau in weight loss. Tomorrow is another day. 🙂

  • Sarah Phillips

My day is going fine. I’ve had a little bit of anxiety, but I’m hoping a nice hot shower will make me feel better. 🙂 And maybe some chocolate!

    • KATE SARSFIELD

You really know you need to get a life when the only entry in your diary is to change your Mum’s colostomy bag! Oh dear!

    • KATE SARSFIELD

Sorry Judy I hit the wrong button – blame the kitten on the keyboard! BTW if it’s rain your after why don’t you join me here in Ireland!

  • Tamra Phelps

I can’t believe it’s February already. Well, my day has been irritating, lol. I spent a while trying to get a human being on the phone with DirecTV. (Argh!!!) I hate having to call them, the automated voice is so aggravating.

  • Florence C

My day is going good so far. I made a few calls I needed to get out of the way. Now enjoying a coffee and entering a few contests.

  • Nancy Burgess

My day is going great had sleep over with grandaughter after seeing Disney on Ice.Going to my older grandaughters basketball game in a little while.Love spending time with my grandchildren!

  • jennifer horn

My day is going pretty good so far. I have to get things together to get our taxes done, so not sure if it will stay that way. lol

  • KATE SARSFIELD

What happened to January? Where did it go? It’s definitely true that time goes by faster the older you get! Anywho, here’s hoping February is a good month for one and all!

  • Heather E

Ready to start a new week, and a new month. 🙂 Hard sending my daughter off to school again, knowing I won’t see her for 12 days. But thankful that I”m working like a maniac to kill the time until she’s back with me!

I guess today is starting out as any Monday. It is really quiet in the office today and I hope it stays that way. I am not looking forward to tomorrow because we are supposed to get a snowstorm.

  • Jennifer corrado

My day is starting out like a usually Monday. Got hubby and high school senior up and out the door now time to get my 7th grader up,fed, dressed and on her bus. Then to get my coffee, relax and enter some daily giveaways.

  • Kelly Brown

So far my day is going okay. It will be a long one! I have duty so I have to be at school at 7:15 am. After school I have 3 conferences scheduled and then a parent meeting tonight from 6-7. I know I will be VERY tired tonight!
