Fish Fish Squish! Board Game Review
If you’ve been around my blog for awhile you know I’m a HUGE fan of Winning Moves Games! LOVE this company!! Winning Moves just celebrated it’s 20th anniversary!! This awesome company is a USA, Massachusetts based, maker of both new and classic board games. Everything from card games and puzzles including THE RUBIK’S® CUBE, PASS THE PIGS®, SUPER SCRABBLE®, and so many more wonderful family favorites. Winning Moves Games are FAMILY games!!
Wait till you see the new games we have!! Starting with Fish, Fish, SQUISH!! Oh my gosh this is so much fun!!! I love games that I can play with 3-year-old Alice that challenge her and yet make her laugh!! The squish or be squished family game does just that!!
Contents of Fish, Fish, Squish includes a deck of 54 colorful fish playing cards, 4 re-sealable bags of safe modeling fun dough (blue, yellow, orange, and purple), 4 plastic fish molds, 4 player mats and illustrated instructions.
The game is meant for players 5 and up; so I modified the rules a little for 3 year-old Alice. We made it more of a memory match game and it was still fun!!
Start the game with your own school of dough-fish. Using the enclosed molds make 5 fish and stand them up on the player mats. Flip cards in turn until you complete a three-in-a-row. When you do, you are awarded a “free squish” of any opponent’s fish. Stay on your fins! Everyone is trying to squish your fish too! Last “fish” standing wins!
Alice LOVES the making of the fish and squishing NaNa’s fish sends her into fits of laughter!!
When you are playing with older kids 5 and up, the game is simple then as well. Lay out all of the cards face down in a 6 by 6 grid. Players take turns flipping over 1 card at a time. When a player uncovers a set of 3 different colored fish, they then get to “squish” one of their opponents’ dough fish. The last fish standing wins.
5 and up
Players:2 to 4

How can you whine about family game time!??! Fish, Fish, Squish is truly a FUN family board game!!

Ha ha! Alice had my in stiches (as we say in Ireland) and I’ve still got a silly grin on my face! What a brilliant game and that video – treasure it always and then show it at her wedding!

This looks like a fun game! I am so tired of seeing little kids (some still have the pacifiers in their mouths), in a stroller, with an iPad mini. There needs to be a return to real toys. Life is not something that can be downloaded!!!!!
