Fun RC Helicopters and Autos for Kids Every Parent Should Know About!!
Kids want to do the things that grownups do and driving an RC car or a helicopter is the best way to help them achieve that dream! However, the offer is so rich in designs and features that a parent who doesn’t know the RC world would get lost.
To lend a helping hand, below is a list of the best remote-controlled helicopters and cars that will make a kid happy. They are safe and easy to maintain so they won’t be an extra pain for you as a parent.
Syma S107G 3 Channel RC Helicopter with Gyro
This little guy is a lot of fun to fly inside and outside and it is great for beginners. The gyro system is controlling the stability of the RC vehicle in flight and the brushed motor is durable and easy to maintain.
The 3.7V Li-Poly Battery allows for about 10 minutes of runtime (which is absolutely normal for such devices). It also takes about half an hour to recharge so if you know your children are not patient, you should take a spare.
Hero RC H911 2.4GHZ iRocket
The cool design and interesting colors will definitely impress your kids, but the features are just as interesting! The Hero RC H911 is a 4-channel fixed pitch heli and the transmitter has an LCD screen where the pilot can follow real-life information about the flight.
The body is durable and lightweight which makes it great for both beginners and advanced pilots. The flight time is about 8 minutes, but this helicopter comes with two batteries (2x 3.7V 130Mah Li-poly).
These are two best RC helicopters I like to recommend, but you can see more on rcrank.com/best-helicopters-for-sale/.
Redcat Racing EPX Drift Car
On RC Rank you can also find information about RC cars like the Redcat Racing EPX Drift car. This is an amazing choice for both boys and girls, but they need to be a bit older so they’ll understand how it works.
I like the overall shape and the fact that it doesn’t come with an aggressive design – most advanced models implement the off-road truck style in order to impress customers. The Redcat EPX comes with transmission forward and reverse, 2.4GHz Radio, and a 7.2v 2000mAh NiMH battery.
The electric brushed motor and the cool tires allow this car to get to speeds up to 22-23mph, which is impressive.
Traxxas XO-1 1/7 Scale AWD Supercar
If you’re looking to really impress your kids, this is the RC car that will do it. The design is gorgeous and the car can be bought in several color versions. The car is also equipped with a large brushless motor that will get to 60mph in 2.3 seconds (if you want more, you’ll need to get a 3S LiPo battery).
Since it’s a Traxxas model, it comes with the famous TQi 2.4GHz Radio Controller with Wireless Module and an improved stability management that make driving this tiny beast a lot of fun!

I really enjoyed reading the entire post, thank you!

My son had a remote controlled helicopter a few years ago and had a lot of fun with it. His Dad couldn’t maneuver it very well and kept crashing it. This summer my son bought a drone and our whole family enjoyed it so much.

I don’t think you get your money’s worth with the helicopters. Too many crashes.

My boys would have loved all of the RC cars you featured when they were kids. I raised 3 boys so we had quite a few RC toys around. If I’m not mistaken we had a helicopter similar to the Syma S107G 3 Channel RC Helicopter With Gyro. It was a fun toy but didn’t last very long. My kids kept crashing it into the ground lol.

Ohhh! Remote Control! I read it as Roman Catholic and couldn’t work it out … (can’t you tell I live in Ireland)!

I think little boys and big boys would love one of these. Great idea for the holidays!

My nephews love RC vehicles of any kind. They really are much better these days. When my brother had them in the 80’s, they were horrible. Back then they almost always broke within days!
