It’s SPRING! Don’t Tell Mother Nature!

It’s SPRING??? I have to start this post with something I keep saying over and over. This has been the WEIRDEST winter EVER!!! Even born-and-raised Idahoans say the same thing. IT’s a WEIRD winter!!! One person I talked to is a 3rd generation and no one remembers a winter like this. We have had very little snow. We get snow, then we get rain and the snow is gone. March 1st and I have no snow except MAYBE a pile under a tree. MAYBE!! Seriously, IDAHO! NO SNOW in March?? WHAT?!?!? Now all that whining is NOT really WHINING. It’s an observation. So please, Mother Nature, I am fine. I AM FINE!! I do not need you to show me what ‘COULD BE’. I’m fine. I really shouldn’t have even brought it up….. so erase, erase… forget I said anything. 

As you no doubt have noticed I am in FULL, SPRING mode. I’m ready for flowers, hummingbirds, and butterflies. I’m also ready for spring cleaning (YOU KNOW I’m lying about that part!)

I AM ready to add some spring color and texture to my livingroom. I started with a light dusting of furniture (I’m lying here too! It’s FILTHY in here!) After dusting and vacuuming I added the perfect area rug. I am absolutely GIDDY over my new area rug!!! I swear this rug transformed my room into a SPRING!!! It’s SO PRETTY!!!

I was worried that this area rug would take some work to lay flat since it arrived folded. I’m not sure what magic folding technique  the folks at Lahome do, but, other than one teeny TINY wrinkle in the center (by day 3 it was absolutely GONE!) there are no wrinkles! Magic I tell ya…. MAGIC!
