I’ve Been Carded Black Soap Facial Wash Review #DesiredDiva

Check out my new facial soap from Desired Diva; it’s called I’ve Been Carded! Black Soap Facial Wash.
I’ve Been Carded helps you rewind the clock with powerful African ingredients like African black soap, Shea butter, African coffee, fragrance. Using this facial wash not only cleans my face but deeply nourish my skin, leaving it feeling soft, toned, and fresh.

I’ve Been Carded! is wonderful for my oily, mature skin. It removes every speck of make-up; even my water-proof mascara! SWEET!!

My favorite aspect of this skin cleanser is the fact that it’s bursting with antioxidants that protects my skin from free radical damage, which is the main cause of premature skin aging, wrinkles and facial lines. Using I’ve Been Carded will even out my skin tone and HELLO… hold on to your seat….. fade age spots and discoloration. I am obsessed with destroying my age spots!

I’ve Been Carded is rich in Vitamins A and E. Vitamin A which helps promote collagen production and makes your skin softer and more youthful, filling in lines and wrinkles. Vitamin E helps to heal tissue structure and improves the texture and tone of the skin.
Shea Butter softens and smooth’s skin while firming up skin that has gotten looser with age. It also works to heal scarring. You don’t have to worry about the Shea Butter clogging your pores either.

African coffee exfoliates your skin while the antioxidants in coffee help to cleanse and nourish. The caffeine in coffee is also known to tone and tighten the skin while increasing circulation.

African black soap is made with ash of Shea Tree Bark, Cocoa pods, leaves of palm tree and plantain skin. Often baked in the sun of the Sahara Desert, this soap bark and leaves are brought to a constant temperature to make the perfect texture. Next, oils are added to the mixture such as palm kernel, coconut and palm oil, along with cocoa pod powder and Shea butter. Start to finish, African black soap takes two weeks to create before the finished soap is ready.

I have to admit when I received this soap the first thing that stopped me was the size of the jar. It’s small; as in 2 ounces. However, after the first use I realize this jar will last for a long time!! A small amount of this thick soap goes a very long way.

When I wash my face with this soap, I make sure my face is damp, then I use a little spatula to take the smallest amount out of the jar and I start by massaging the soap around my face. The soap creates excellent suds to remove make up and dirt while the coffee grinds exfoliate.

I’ve been trying to think of a way to describe the scent of the soap. There is the slightest scent of cocoa right at first, then it becomes a very earthy scent. Personally I love the scent. Once you rinse your face the scent goes away completely.

As soon as you rinse your face you will immediately feel a difference in the texture of your skin. So very soft! SO VERY smooth!!

Added bonus: I’ve Been Carded has a shelf life of 5 years.

Well this is a completely new one to me. I’ve heard of black toothpaste (Bev. Hills) and I’ve used a black seaweed peel-off mask (never again – smells like a compost heap!) but never this. I hate the smell of coffee so maybe it isn’t for me, but cocoa … mmm! By the by, what does ‘I’ve Been Carded!’ mean?

Kate; I’ve never tried black toothpaste… ummmm I don’t know if I would either. Seaweed mask… well, I might. I’ve been carded means that I’m looking so young that I will get carded for alcohol.
