Here is my May 2025 update. Hands still hurt. Started going to an acupuncturist and after an insurance snafu I have to wait to go back. Always something right?? So, went to a pain management specialist and after the doctor looked at my MRI recommended a steroid shot given with a epidural shot in my c5/c6 due to severe bilateral foraminal stenosis. OKAY that HURT!! LIKE A LOT!! It’s been 8 days and still no relief. I was told it could take 2 weeks for relief to show up….. so I’m counting the hours! Please work. Okay, enough whining for now.
The 8th Grade class trip is this month. I’m still beyond excited. 8 days and Alice is ALL MINE!!! AND I get to share these amazing memories with her. If you are new here Granddaughter Alice chose ME!! to accompany her on the 8th grade class trip. (My 8th grade class trip was a class trip to the movies!!! This kid goes to New York, Boston, Philadelphia!! WHAT!?!? Anyway, if you would like to check out all the places we are going read this post.
My GOAL is to flood Instagram with pictures. I’m at least going in with that goal in mind. I mean when my face isn’t plastered to the windows in the bus going Whoooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaa.
AND hopefully a zillion pictures of me and Alice. Did I mentions she’s all mine for 8 DAYS!!!

I didn’t watch tthe nightly news last night because I am binge watching the final season of Yellowstone on DVD. So just this morning I am seeing the news about the firefighters getting shot and killed in Coeur d’Alene Idaho after responding to a fire. That really turns my stomach. I just spent 39 minutes on the phone with a bank trying to GIVE them money. But because I opened the account 34 years ago, my phone wasn’t current (seriously how am I suppossed to bank with 1991 rules). I begged them to take my money, and was bascially told the only way I could do it was to take cash to a bank in Delaware. Um, no. I have tried updating my info with them over the years and never could get it done, so I just thought as long as things work, I’ll not bother. Well, it all worked until today. 🙁 I actually said, “I’m begging you to TAKE my money, I get there is security, but seriously, it’s not like me giving you money is fraud when I have explained the situation.” I hope my credit card doesn’t penalize me for a check that bounces. *sigh*

Just got home last night after having to evacuate our home on Wednesday due to an out of control wildfire in our area. It was super close and really scary. Thank the Lord no homes were lost. It destroyed about 500 acres here. Pisses me off that some idiot started it!!!!!!!!!

I spent like a half hour this morning just trying to get my computer mouse to work then my speakers were muted it’s been a fun morning so far. I am making banana pancakes this morning sounds yummy.

Connie, I hope your shot kicks in before you go on the trip with Alice. That will definitely make it a good time for you! My Mom had those epidural shots years ago, and she always said they hurt but helped quite a bit–for a while anyway. Hopefully, they’ll give you some relief.
