L. Ron Hubbard’s "If I Were You"

As soon as the music started I was hooked. The music is very Indiana Jones exotic. I felt like I was being transported to 1930.  L.Ron Hubbard’s “If I Were You” is an animated exciting story!!
I always have a book on CD in the car I hardly ever listen to the radio anymore.  I love being read too. I have never EVER been read to like this!!

“If I Were You” has sound effects, rain, doors opening, chairs scraping the floor, background voices!  There are multiple readers. This CD is amazing!! Talk about being completely absorbed!!  Listening to this CD I now completely understand how families could gather in front of the radio and be totally and completely entertained.  This is tv for your imagination. I was so immersed in the story I didn’t even want to multi-task! I just wanted to listen.  (If you only knew what a major deal that was, you’d be in awe!)

If I Were You

Circus midget Little Tom Little is the king of midgets, loved by crowds and carnival folk alike. Only he doesn’t just want to be a bigger circus star, he wants to be just like the circus’ tall and imposing leader.
Trouble begins the moment that a set of ancient books containing the secret of switching bodies finds its way into Tom Little’s tiny hands. When he magically trades his small frame with that of the circus chief, he finds himself in a giant-sized heap of trouble—his craving for height has landed him smack in the center ring surrounded by forty savage cats!

The end of the book “If I Were You” has a short story called “The Last Drop” SO FUN!!  The voices in this one are so wonderful.  The story is fun.  About a magic potion and just a few gangsta’s.  I really enjoyed both immensely!!

The CD’s themselves also have the book picture printed on them. So retro COOL!!
The two CD book “If I Were You” is approximately two hours of unabridged FUN!!

When I was done listening to If I Were You, I passed it to my Mom. Here’s what she had to say:
Connie asked me if I wanted to listen to Stories From the Golden Age on CD, of course I said yes.  I remember many, many, years ago listening to the radio late at night, scary stories were the best.  Listening to this cd took me back to those days, the readers are great, they fit the part perfect (nothing worse then trying to listen to a book on cd when you can’t picture the characters because of the reader)
I thoroughly enjoyed L Ron Hubbard’s “If I Were You” I’m looking forward to the next book.
