LED Projector From DeepLee

For some reason the kids think watching a movie outside is the greatest thing EVER!!! They will sit all quiet in their chairs, munch on popcorn and watch a movie they have seen a million times before like this was the first showing. Who am I to criticize, I love it. Quiet kids AND the bonus of not hearing “Non, you’ll love this next part” a thousand times during the movie. Seriously, anyone that watches a movie with a kid 6 and under knows exactly what I mean!!

First I want to compliment customer service at DeepLee. When I first tried the projector I couldn’t get sound from the projector itself. The folks at DeepLee sent me step by step instructions back RIGHT AWAY!!! I was giddy!! The instructions were super easy to follow.  So, in case you are using a Yoga Laptop go to your sound icon and go to playback devices and find MStar click that and the sound will come through your projector perfectly.

I LOVE the look of this projector! The matte black finish looks rich! ADDED bonus fingerprints don’t show!!

The DeepLee DP500 projector has 1500 Lumen, it’s small in size and lightweight (as in only 2.2 pounds) making it easy to move from room to room or outside. One whine here I do wish that the power cord was longer, to me it seems very short at just under 5 feet long. So unless you are really close to the wall you will need an extension cord.  The projector supports A LOT of different electronics including: HDMI, AV, VGA, USB, SD, PC, Laptop, Xbox, PS4, DVD Players.

The projector is 2.6″ wide, by 9.1″ long, by 5.71″ tall.

The DeepLee Projector is wonderful projector for the price (under $90!). It’s small and compact. Easy to use.

Package includes
1☀ DP500 Projector
1☀ AC power cord
1☀ AV cord
1☀ Remote control
1☀ User manual

The default resolution is 800×480 which as you will see in my video the picture is on a white wall in the middle of the day and the resolutions is still pretty darn good. At night it really is a great picture.  I’m very pleased with the resolution. The darker the room or the night is the better the picture. (Captain Obvious here)

Kudo’s on the User Manual for being easy to follow and understand!!! With pictures!!

As far as the projector itself it’s very light weight. All the plugs are marked and easy to read. The lens has a cap that easily removes which is a great feature. On the bottom of the projector is a screw position adjuster, it gives you a little bit of a lift but you may still have to use books or something under it. There is also a place for you to allow the use of a Tri-Pod on the bottom.

The remote control allows you to fast forward, rewind, pause and play. On an off along with adjusting the sound and choosing between the different programs or electronics.  My second whine would be the infrared window for the remote is on the back of the machine which is great if you are behind the projector but I always seem to be sitting side by side to the machine. There are controls on the top so that does help. I just wish the eye was on the side or maybe the top? Again small whine and doesn’t take anything away from the picture quality. The remote requires 2 AAA batteries which is not included.

Sound. The fan is a little on the loud side but by far softer than other projectors I have used. The sound goes up loud enough that I don’t count this as a whine. I don’t have to bring extra speakers outside which is awesome!!!

WHINES

First whine for me is the cord. 5′ is just not long enough in my opinion. Of course it might just be because everywhere we wanted to play a movie the plug is either across the room or inside the house. So this might not be an issue for you.  Second whine is the eye for the remote which, like I said is a minor one.

I am very impressed with the packaging as well. The bubble wrap that holds the projector itself is heavy duty and really protects the projector.
