LuLaRoe Simply Comfortable & Leggings Giveaway!!

One of the greatest perks of my life is having been able to retire when my Granddaughter Alice was born 5 years ago. I have been having a BLAST with this kid! Watching her grow from this tiny little baby that slept all day to a kid that will start Kindergarten in 17 days! (Who’s counting? ME! That’s who! I’m already having separation issues!)Wait; where was I going with this? Oh yeah…. clothing. In college they call it the Freshman 20; in retirement it should be called the Doing What I Want; When I Want 50. Yup, as in I have gained 10 pounds a year since retirement. So here I am with boxes of great work clothes that I can’t fit into and yet hate to part with on the very off-chance that I will drop this Retired 50. Right now my wardrobe consists of clothing that is frumpy. Yup, I’ve turned into THAT NaNa. Jeans or leggings with a baggy t-shirt most of which has either paint or marker embedded into it. To say that I was thrilled when Nancy Chipriano contacted me about writing a review and hosting a giveaway for LuLaRoe.

This is a new-to-me clothing line. LuLaRoe clothing is sold exclusively through LuLaRoe Fashion Consultants. What a great idea, right?? Consultants like Nancy share their inventory through Facebook pages or Pop-Up Boutiques.

“LuLaRoe exists to provide an opportunity for people to create freedom by selling comfortable, affordable, stylish clothing, and offering its consultants the independence to set their own pace and schedule. This creates the time to spend with those closest to them, the very thing DeAnne (the founder) had once desired for herself!”

So, here is a little more information that Nancy has shared with me and that I have learned from the LuLaRoe website.

The company was founded in 2013 by DeAnne Stidham, a single mother to 7 children who needed extra income to support her family. LuLaRoe is named after DeAnne’s first 3 granddaughters.

Here is MY personal favorite!!! LuLaRoe only makes 2,500 items of each unique print, so each consultant has different stock. After your initial start-up package (every consultant starts off with the same # of styles/sizes) a consultant can order whatever sizes/styles desired, but not prints. That’s the beauty of it! The warehouse ships it and you get to be surprised. The consultants help each other instead of competing. LLR insists on a positive culture!!! How could you not LOVE that?!!?

Some consultants may focus on kids’ styles, another might have a variety of dresses, some may focus on leggings. LuLaRoe consultants focus on their specific clientele.

On Facebook consultants usually have different pieces of inventory on sale at different times. For example, last week Nancy had a surprise sale on Maxi Skirts and Lindsay Kimonos. Wednesdays she has a theme sale called Wardrobe Wednesday where she puts together outfits for sale.

LLR wants every woman to feel beautiful and comfortable– their sizes range from toddler-kids, tween, women XXS-3X and even have a few shirts for men (M-2XL). New styles were just launched last week even!

I’m sure that LuLaRoe is something that you’ll be hearing even more about!! Seriously, it already has its own sub-culture, including lingo. For example, a “unicorn” is an item with a certain print you fall in love with but can’t seem to find maybe it’s not in your size, or maybe people have snatched it up before you could claim it. You have been ISO (in search of) it because you want it so bad but no one seems to have it or have seen it, hence the “unicorn” name. Want more LLR lingo? Check Nancy’s Facebook page here. So, now that’s the company. Let’s talk clothing. I told Nancy to surprise me with what she sent. I reminded her I was 58. Chunky and a Grandmother. But please don’t make me look like a G’ma or like I’m trying to be a twenty. I think Nancy and I must have been BBF’s in a previous life because as soon as I unwrapped my LuLaRoe package I was in LOVE!! First, the top and leggings came out of the package wrinkle free. Whaaaaaaaa?!? Yup, ready to wear!! Next when Nancy said she was sending me what LLR refers to as Butter Leggings I laughed inwardly. (Hello, I live in yoga pants and leggings. They are all soft. Right? Butter…. pfffttt I laugh at your joke Nancy!!) WHOAAAA OHMYGOSH SOFTNESS. HOLY MOLY!! Yes, big capital letters; these are the softest leggings I have ever touched!! The shirt? Again, soft, comfortable! PERFECT!!

I told Nancy that she should send me the XL but knowing her product Nancy convinced me that a Large would fit and they do! So please note that LLR does run on the larger side.

These leggings, no actually both pieces are so comfortable that you’ll want to live in them. They feel like cuddly soft jammies. The kind of outfit that you will always pack for vacation because they don’t wrinkle. I know for certain that next flight I take this will be my travel outfit! Truly comfortable all the way around. The fit is amazing, there is no having to hike these up during the day because they started to sag in the crotch area. These are exceptionally made leggings. The print? It’s fun! I can wear them with a variety of tops however the top that Nancy paired with them is perfection. The Irma Tunic is light brownish striped top that is longer in the back, rounded neck and 3/4 sleeves. The print is something I would have never thought of trying with these pants; but it works!! Look at me outside my comfort zone and LOVING it!! Machine washable in cold water, I haven’t had andy shrinkage or fading. Don’t forget to read the label on each item to be sure there aren’t any special instructions. Even though I use the machine for washing, I do lay the items out flat to dry, neither piece has lost their softness.

I am absolutely thrilled with each piece. The quality, versatility and prices are amazing; not to mention these pieces are extremely travel friendly.
